From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmness, they move you into a room quickly and tend to your pets with care. We have been so impressed with their communication practices, the friendliness and attentiveness of their staff, and their willingness and availability to get our pets in during periods of emergency. We have four dogs varying in age and range of needs and they are able to support each life stage. 100/10! I could not recommend Village Vet more!

They require a physical examination by their veterinarian and proof of all vaccinations, heartworm and flea prevention, prior to boarding (they will do it there the day of if needed. We had to get a canine flu vaccine before we could board. We boarded Tootie in the "deluxe suite" which is a small room with a tv and extra play time, rather than a tiny kennel/cage. He didn't seem traumatized when we picked him up which was great! Their prices for boarding aren't bad either. $24.20 for basic boarding. $30 for deluxe boarding. I think there's also a $10-$15 fee in there somewhere too. No drop off on Sunday. Pick up Sundays 4:30p-5p only. Drop off Saturday from 7:30a-12p. Pickup during normal business hours during the week. We will definitely be using this establishment during our stay in Montgomery! Great service!

The first time I was there with my Dog everything was fine, the facility was clean, people were nice and informed me well and the price was as they had said. The second time I was there and dropped my dog off for teeth cleaning, I had already gotten a price and was told what they would do etc. So when I went back to pick my dog up it was chaos in there, dog doo doo on the floor along with blood on the floor etc. I went to pay and all of a sudden it was 50.00 more than quoted to me. They brought my dog to the inside door and she could not walk. I ask what was going on and I could hear young kids in the back laughing and doing what kids do. She was wet and could not walk and I began to get really upset, so I am 70yrs old and my dog is a big as I am and I picked her up and carried her to the truck. Got her home and called another Vet. they told me she should not be this way and I should call them and ask how much drugs she was given and for how long. I did so and they could not answer me and came up with a BS story. Based on what she did tell me my dog had been under all day and only was taken off drugs when I got there. That is not what I was told when the vet called me to tell me everything went well. Then to only see and find out that only the outside of her teeth were cleaned. The inside had not even touched. The bottom line is, this place can be Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I personally will not take my dog there again or return for any reason! Note: I grew up on a farm so I know a few things and of course have seen a lot of animals being treated for different things. You can trust me when I say, its a damn good thing that I got there when I did and she finally did came around. Once my dogs labwork was finished the vet came back in advising me that she could not find the reason for his sickness. She then proceeded to tell me that if I see any other issues within the next few days to come back in as she was going to give him some Medicine. Everything up to this point had been fine. Once I went to pay for this trip; thinking it would only be the $37.50 I had been told, the receptionist then proceeds to tell me my bill was going to be $257, at which I protested. In past experience this was my favorite vet to take my dog too because their pricing was always great, but after today I will never be returning here with my pets. This vet will not inform you; their customers, the prices of things before doing them. The receptionist even told me that I should of asked an estimate while I was speaking to the vet.... you'd think vets would have the best interest for their customers and pets yet here I am not knowing what is even wrong with my dog, and having a $257 bill to show for it!

We can't say enough wonderful things about Jeff and his team! The staff treat us and our dog like family, always greeting Larry with kindness and enthusiasm by name. One they kept the dogs in a kennel all but 1 hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. The other as soon as you walked in you were hit with the smell of urine....ugh. They offer grooming, boarding and day care. It's out in the country and you can tell they love animals. Can not recommend this place enough to all pet owners around Lake Martin.
