We have taken both of our dogs here for nearly 10 years and without incident! Our dogs, we love them so extremely dearly, but they were not well-behaved or well-trained for most of their kennel stays. Yet the folks at Howl-a-Day have never, ever complained. One of our good boys has made it into his senior years and one, unfortunately, has not. Our senior boy is well cared for and always showered with affection by the employees of this kennel. Our dearly departed good boy was well cared for even when we had to kennel him while sick and on a laundry list of medication. I really do trust my precious pups with this company. We can travel with absolute peace of mind given our positive experiences with Howl-a-Day. I can't thank them enough for caring the way that they do. I call this place Summer Camp for the dogs! Since my partner and I both work away from home, we needed someone to let them out daily. We were very picky in the process of picking someone to have access to our new home and to take care of our boys. Sara also shares the same concerns and is fully insured to do so. She came in for a free visit to meet the boys and go over any concerns we had. The entire process from then until now has been nothing but amazing and very professional. Sara goes out of her way to schedule visits at the times we needed. She even came out on a couple hours notice a few times when our other plans fell through. There really isn't anything she wouldn't do to make sure you and your pets are happy. The service for what you pay for is amazing. Sara and her team take our boys outside for a mile or more walk daily and play with them to get all their energy out. She does this rain or shine and our dogs love it. Every once in a while she brings her best dogs along and my two Goldens get to play with friends in the our own yard. Guardian Angel's Pet Sitting is the best pet sitting company I have used ! Jennifer (the owner) came out to our home and explained her services for free, met our dogs and our family. She was very professional and she is also a vet tech. She is insured and licensed to work all parts of Macomb County. She watched our dogs 3 times a day for 10 days. The rates were very reasonable and she took excellent care of our dogs. She also left them gifts when we returned! The owner's mother proceeded to yell at him so much before I even left that he pooped on the floor in the kennel at which point she started yelling at me that I should have had him go outside before I brought him in. Unfortunately we were on our way to catch a train to leave, otherwise I would have left with him then. When I picked him up, he had no food left but had clearly lost weight. I knew before that they gave extra food to their chickens but I would have expected that they let him at least have his food and if not already down, give me the extra. I was also told that he barked constantly. Buddy was not a barker, he did tend to whine a lot but that is different than barking. When we got him home, he was so petrified for a couple of weeks so I don't know what they had done to scare him. It's important to note that the positive reviews were mostly before the current owners bought it.

I wounding buying a bottle of tomato juice and taking him to the lake and giving him a bath myself. He doesn't smell like a skunk anymore. Never again!
