My father took his dog Benson there to get groomed. He got way overheated, had a stroke and ended up having to get euthanized the next day because of irreversable brain damage because he had overheated. We took our bulldog Buddy there. The owner's mother proceeded to yell at him so much before I even left that he pooped on the floor in the kennel at which point she started yelling at me that I should have had him go outside before I brought him in. Unfortunately we were on our way to catch a train to leave, otherwise I would have left with him then. When I picked him up, he had no food left but had clearly lost weight. I knew before that they gave extra food to their chickens but I would have expected that they let him at least have his food and if not already down, give me the extra. I was also told that he barked constantly. Buddy was not a barker, he did tend to whine a lot but that is different than barking. When we got him home, he was so petrified for a couple of weeks so I don't know what they had done to scare him. Took my dog there for a bath because he had been sprayed by a skunk. $45 dollars and several ridiculous, contradictory excuses later, I left with the dog still smelling like a skunk. I wounding buying a bottle of tomato juice and taking him to the lake and giving him a bath myself. He doesn't smell like a skunk anymore. Never again! read more

We had our two Therapy Dogs stay here last week. The proprietor, Evie provided a lovely and clean environment for our golden retriever and black lab. The team carefully took notes on food preparation and medication administration for each canine. We were able to access the kennel area to see where our pets would be staying. It was well maintained and freshly scrubbed down, and they had elevated beds on the floor. Our dogs were clean and happy when we picked them up and we were extremely pleased and will definitely be returning. We boarded our labradoodle here for 2 nights and they were wonderful!! They took such good care of our baby as if he was their own. The facilities were clean and the prices beyond reasonable. Love this place! We've boarded our two dogs here several times in the past 8 years we've had them and they take very good care of them!! Great business and super friendly staff. We were visiting the area and after spending a night in the (pet friendly) hotel with our puppy either crying in her crate or playing because she had a lot of energy to burn, I contacted them to see if they could board her the rest of the long weekend or we were just going to pack up and go home. They were very accommodating, called our vet to verify that our pup was up to date on her vaccines, and you could tell honestly cared about her and the other boarders. I would absolutely recommend and use them again! read more

I normally don't post negative stuff but the more I think about what happened to my poodle two weeks ago I just don't want it to happen to any one else that takes there pet to be groomed. I dropped him off and then get a phone call she had nicked him and if I wanted to come and look at it I could but she convinced me it wasn't bad she sealed it and wasn't bleeding so I said okay thanks for calling. Then I got the call he was done and went to pick him up looked at it and didn't look bad and she said I should have trimmed him down before using the clippers so I paid $40.00 and left. After a couple of hours cut came unsealed and was a wide open wound on his shoulder on front leg I put some antibiotic cream on it and kept it covered for a couple of days . make story short had to call the vet and pay 100.00 more to treat him and they haven't even called to to if he was okay or how it was healing . What I should have done is not paid them a sent but I'm not that kind of person but I will not be going back and will not refer them to nobody . ***WARNING*** - If you value your pet do NOT use this company. Short version: They "lost" one of our dogs. Didn't tell us about it for several days. Didn't bother looking for him. Most likely lied about how it happened and admitted that it "happens all the time". Longer version: We have used this company on several occasions to board dogs while family members are getting together over the holidays. During the most recent stay we found out how bad this "kennel" really is and how dangerous it was to have used them on multiple occasions. We boarded two dogs. One is a rescue and has limited mobility (this is important for later in the story). The very first night that the dogs were boarded one of them "escaped" from the kennel. They claimed that the limited mobility dog jumped a fence and ran off into the woods. While this is highly unlikely given that the dog is not capable of jumping (he was hit by a car when he was younger) it is even more concerning that the kennel did not bother to contact us. In fact, we only learned about the problem when we called them to check on our dogs two days into what we thought was a normal stay. The trip was cut short and we got back home as quickly as possible to search for our dog. Luckily we found him alive but in rough condition. When confronted about the situation and questioned about what happened the owner became irate. Here are some choice quotes: (Regarding losing the dog) "This is not the first time we have lost dogs. We have lost them before and we will lose them again" & "this happens all the time"; (Regarding not searching or contacting us) "I know [your dog] better than you do... usually they come back". Needless to say this company is at best incompetent and at worst completely irresponsible. read more
