It honestly was the best day in recent memory. This shop is unlike any tattoo spot I've been to - it's serene, calming, and immediately puts you at ease in a situation where you might be feeling a little nervous. Jess, Emma (the other tattoo artist), and Wayne (a piercer who has pierced me several times!) are all welcoming and fabulous to have conversations with. Jess is such an amazing artist - watching her tattoo is a thrill - and her artwork hanging around the shop is unreal. I spent much of my time here observing her amazing paintings, as well as the loads of gorgeous plants, succulents, and Victorian-esque items! This past Tuesday, the top fell off while I was cleaning it with a Q-tip. I called immediately, and the receptionist told me she would message me if an opening became available. I never heard back. I went to another piercer in Montpelier to see if they could help, but they couldn't. After waiting three days with no response from Angelina's Rose, I called again and explained that another piercer had told me it would likely be too late to save the piercing if it healed over. Instead of being seen promptly, I was offered an appointment a week later--even though by then the piercing would likely have closed, leaving surgical removal as my only option. I explained that if there were no appointments available, I was willing to come in and wait for an opening. I was finally told there was time to come in today at 10:00 a.m. When I arrived, the first thing Dell said was that I must have been touching the piercing because he "screws them on really tight." I tried to explain that it happened while I was cleaning it, but he interrupted me and said he already knew what I was going to say and that I must have been playing with it because "there's no other way" and that this had never happened to anyone else. The conversation quickly became unprofessional. He called me entitled because of the way I spoke to the receptionist. While I admit I was frustrated, I was not yelling, swearing, or being disrespectful--I was simply trying to get help before my piercing closed. I then asked why I had been told to come in at 10:00 a.m. if he had already decided he wasn't going to help me. He could have told me that over the phone and saved me the trip. His response was that when he has "shit to talk about someone," he says it to their face. I found that response incredibly unprofessional. He then told me I was no longer welcome at the shop, called me disrespectful, and refused to help me. As a result, my dermal will now likely need to be surgically removed. I also brought up that I didn't feel the receptionist had treated me kindly. Dell told me they had cameras and had reviewed the conversation, insisting she had done nothing wrong. I got the impression they were backing each other up rather than listening to my concerns, so I didn't feel like I was being heard. I told him I was glad there were cameras because I know I remained calm and never yelled or acted aggressively. To make matters worse, this isn't the first issue I've had. He pierced my second nostril crooked the first time, and I had to pay to have it repierced, even though the mistake wasn't mine. I'm incredibly disappointed with how I was treated. I've been a loyal customer for years, and I expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this shop.

I was here first in March of 2015 with a family member who had a piercing done. The experience was fine. Not great but not bad. The piercing turned out as it should have. No real complaints there. Flash forward to today when my nose ring fell out at work. I went to Body Language hoping to pick up a new one and be on my way. The man who helped me (and was also the same piercer I encountered last year) took me to find a new nose stud. I told him I had a very small gauge hoop before. We pick one out and without warning me beforehand just starts to shove it into my nose. Seeing as this stud was a larger gauge than I was used to, it was very painful when he tried to insert it. (By the way I didn't even want any help putting it in, I just wanted a damn nose ring.) I kindly let him know "it doesn't usually hurt like this, it goes in pretty easily". He tells me that that's the smallest gauge they have. So I say thank you for your time and help, I'll just have to look somewhere else. No biggie. Was expecting him to say "okay sorry we couldn't be of more help" or "we can order a better size for you". Nope...He then proceeded to throw the nose ring behind him like a child and shoo me out. It was completely uncalled for. I sincerely hope that his people skills improve. If he treats customers like that I have no idea how this place is still open. For the record, I've only had an encounter with this one man. The other employees could be great. But this experience was so off putting I would never come back.

I recommend going somewhere else if possible!
