Horrible Called in an order & it sounded like they couldn't care less. I asked if I could get all flats (which I did get) but my question was ignored. And they took my name & just hung up while I was asking a question. When I picked up, Mario was behind the counter wearing a black hoodie the displayed a Large red hand flipping a bird. Nice impression for customers! ? The menu on the website showed it was updated 2 days ago. I ordered 10 party wing for 12.99. I got there and the price was 14.99 & they added 2.47 Tip without any notification at all. That should be illegal! The wings were decent but rather small compared to Wing places that care about their customers. Will Never go back! Owner needs to get a decent staff. read more

Omg i went here on October 10th for my daughter birthday party. I ordered some beans and fish and there was a living cockroach in the food! Menu prices online has been drastically changed. I ordered 20 traditional wing for $14.95 as posted in 2 places on Yelp. When I picked them up he said they had gone up to $25.95. Huge difference. He needs to submit new pricing. I would not have gone for that price. When I got home the wings were the smallest I have ever been served but they had a good flavor. Kelvin's has great food but horrible service. They will tell you that your order will be ready in 15 minutes, but 40 minutes later you'll still be waiting for your order. The workers inside have ZERO customer service skills. Are you calling in an order? Be prepared to be put on hold while you hear in the background what they're planning on doing after work. We visited today for the first time and it was just like in the past, easy to pass on. I was disappointed to be told that we had to order 50 wing in order to get more than one flavor. 50 wings? Really? So we got all hot and the hot sauce was extra salty and too sweet. Nothing has really changed. Still reminds me of their old Frayser location...nothing to brag about. I called in my order, they said it would take 20 minutes but they actually took an hour. I waited there for 40 minutes and when I got my food it was cold. I understand they are busy, but at least communicate with your customers when they're sitting in your store. OK I actually used to live by the father of this establishment . So when I saw it in Cordova I wanted some wings. I really liked them years ago, the one in Raleigh and Frazier. However I have come to this location several times, every time the wings were delicious they always got the order right how ever it always took at least 45 minutes when they said 15. Would have been just fine if they did not have such an unprofessional rude unedjucated people working at the Front. The cashiers need replacements. I mean seriously about 4 or 5 people I know no longer come there because of the rude young girls that work in the front. Bad business practices. We've patronized this establishment many times. The food is good but we've had a couple of issues when they've run out of chicken. Twice, when we've called to place our order and gotten there to pick it up we were told there wasn't any chicken, they ran out. Last night, we called in an order at 7:30pm. My daughter went to pick up the chicken (8:09 pm paid for it) and was told it would be another 30 mins because they were busy. She sat in the establishment for over an hour waiting on our food to only be told we lost your ticket and AGAIN we have run out of chicken! By this time it was after 9pm (7min call from me to the establishment to find out what was taking so long ). We were told to come back today and get the food along with additional for the inconvenience. This was fine since it was so late. After speaking with two other employees and then the owner today, I am disappointed to report that we still have no chicken and no refund. I sent a text photo of the receipt purchase 8:09pm along with screen shot of the phone call I made to the restaurant at 9:09m to find out what was going on. After two calls with the owner, he refused to review his camera and do any further investigation to make our situation right. What's worse!!! He also accused us of being in cahoots with "HIS" staff to steal food. And proceeds to tell me how he has untrustworthy staff (not my problem). Bottom line: Although, our purchase was $12.02, the lack of interest/investigation and the false accusations made by the owner have permanently lost our business and those we have referred to them. I told him to keep the money if it meant that much. I wish Kelvin's Wings the best in the future. I'm sure Mr. Kelvin whomever his is would not be pleased. read more

Secondly..seriously EVERY time I come in they never have "enough" of any certain item to fill my order. Example: " I'd like two large orders of fries"..."we only have enough fries for one small order"...and this is stated after they have ran my credit card for the order! EVERY TIME without fail!!! Customer service is awful. I callI called in my order I even verified the order TWICE. They never even ask my name. I get to the restaurant and nobody speaks. I stand at the counter for 10 minutes before I finally say something. I am extremely nice as I ask for my order and the young lady gives me blank look and tells me I ordered a 5 piece. Ummm... what. Never again! I'm a foodie; so my standards regarding flavor is High, but Unfortunately the flavors were just Off (not even average which I would've been ok with for 50 cents!). - Extra Hot Wings tasted like your average run of the mill mild. Some were a little tough in some places. Flavor was just so-so. - Lemon Pepper Wings ODDLY tasted sweet! No lie unfortunately. My friend even tried & agreed. That was the Only thing I tasted on the wings. No salt or anything else. I added my Own seasonings & some Real hot sauce to help make it actually palatable. They are located in a strip mall that doesn't appear to have very many businesses and the decor could use some updating but don't judge a book by its cover. Their chicken wings are on point! The last time I placed a to-go order and received my food in a plastic Kroger bag. Well, tonight was the final straw. Worst service ever!!!! They only have boneless wings and tenders and they take forever! I had gone two other places that were closed, on a football Sunday? How are you gonna watch Eagles Falcons with no wings? Thankfully Kelvins was open and they were very friendly and helpful. Whole wings were amazing-Served hot and very crispy in a nice togo container if you are going to a party. Chicken tenders were very crispy too and well seasoned. Everything seemed hand made too so that added to the goodness. They have fried okra and many other sides, and flavors for everyone. So good I'm eating them right now. I loved your wings. I went in there on Friday after culinary school and there wings were awesome. I have lived in Memphis all my life and have had all different kinds of wings from different shops all over the city and I can say they know what they are doing. They need to work on there advertisement and make a commercial and put adds out all over the city to help there business. They also need to look into doing deal and coupons to make there business pick up, but other than that Kelvin you were right those wings were awesome. :-) read more
