That being said, over the past 6 years that I have been a Fifth Third customer, I have encountered far too many issues to remain silent. A few things I have experienced: 1. My savings account was just shut down a week ago with no notice to me, written or otherwise. I didn't even know until I logged on to transfer funds, and the account was just gone from my mobile banking portal. 2. This is not specific to me, but when my debit card was compromised, it took more than two weeks to SHIP me a new one. Why waste time and postage, plus risk the card being stolen in the mail when most other banks can print you a new card immediately in a branch. Not to mention, the two weeks I was without the use of my debit card. I do commend Fifth Third, they caught fraudulent activity before any charges were made on the card, but shut my card off before even checking with me. 3. At the Powell branch, there is a teller with the last name of Rasberry who has not only given me issues EVERY time I have visited the branch, but also seems to have it out for every other person in my family, all of whom bank at Fifth Third as well. I'm surprised she's still employed there since Fifth Third prides itself on having superior customer service, and the only tone she's ever used towards me and my family is a derogatory and disdainful one. I would like to mention that the issues she always causes are always related to a minor technicality that has never been an issue with any other teller or any other branch, only with her. The other tellers at this branch have always been very understanding and kind, but for whatever reason she has a vendetta against my family and always rolls her eyes when she sees us walk into the branch. 4. My original savings account was a GoalSetter Savings. I was not able to access the funds without approval and presence of a custodial parent account, which was never an issue until I got older. This account was set up when I was 16. I'm now 22, and after dealing with this for 5 years, a manager at the branch finally helped me switch to a relationship savings account, something no other teller had thought of doing before, even when I asked how I could get around having a parent come to the bank with me every time I needed to access my savings. (This relationship account is the one that was just closed with no notice). Why no one ever thought to help me do this before, I'll never know, but it was ridiculous that as an adult I wasn't able to access my own money without one of my parents. I'm sure there are plenty of other things that have happened as well, but the closing of my savings account is the last straw. I think I'll be switching to a different bank from now on.

I used to bank at the branch on Powell road but they consolidated branches awhile back and move our accounts to this one. The one on Powell Rd was slightly better as the manager and staff would remember your name if you came in more than twice in a month. Huntington has a great online banking system including mobile check deposits from your phone. I can access more than one account such as my daughters from my debit card at any ATM. They have great rates on home equity loans. Feels much more homey and local than Chase or PNC.

Both times the mortgage banker was not there, so we left our information with the teller and we never got a call back in regards to our inquiry. Obviously, no one is interested in helping. My husband is even a Huntington employee, so the teller said the mortgage banker may reach out via internal messaging after he returned from vacation and he never did that either. Literally, have never had this kind of experience at any bank before.

I had a horrible experience with the Sawmill Parkway South location .I received a phone call from…read morethe financial solutions manager indicating that I needed to call her back and provide her with more information for the account she had opened. I have never banked with First Commonwealth Bank so this was very alarming. Turns out she had opened an account without my knowledge or permission. When I went in asked how she was able to do this with out any of the required ID or my consent she said could because a long term client of the bank requested her to do so. When I asked to close the account she indicated that she could only do this for the individual who requested the account to be opened and not for me the named owner of the account. If you feel like becoming of victim of fraud by all means this is your bank but if you don't want your identity compromised I suggest banking elsewhere.
