The shop was extremely clean and everyone had masks on. James worked with me and my design and we completed the outline. He is very well known in the industry and his work is amazing. I have a hand tattoo of a rose that I finally want colored after 2 years and went here for a quote because it's so close to my house. The potential artist said the owner recommended $500 but he was "willing" to do it for $400 + $80 deposit (Total $480). $20 difference. What a joke. What he didn't know was that I already got another quote from a different shop and this guy was going to charge me $250 just for color or $300 if I wanted him to touch up the black as well, and a $100 deposit THAT WENT TOWARD THE WHOLE COST. I didn't know that guy, I was just a man walking in off the street after I saw his work on Instagram and he gave me a great price. Old Traditions should be your second or third stop, never your first.

The shop is very clean. Staff are super friendly. I was super nervous. But after filling out the form, the nerves started to subside. My artist was Cerena and she is sooo sweet. ( you can see hee work on their ig page that is linked to their website) She helped calm my nerves as well. She explained the whole process and what to expect. She even explained that she was going to do a small line so I can know how it feels. My tattoo is on my side on my ribs. And I legit felt NOTHING. It was more like a pinch. She made the whole experience very personable. They are a military friendly shop too. I can't wait to go back with my other designs in the future.

My man and I decided to drive about 40 mins from Riverside to check it out bc they gave the option of bringing in your own design. If you've been getting tatted for a while you know that flash sales are literally the simplest designs for a reasonable price. We had our own design. Decided to go with the 2X2 sizing which was priced at $60. When we got there, we're assuming (like I think anyone else would) that the shop would be not necessarily packed but busy. Nope. It was 2 artists working on a customer each. 2 other women who turned out to be artists as well, were roaming around. We eventually were greeted and I'm assuming the curly haired lady didn't want to do our tatts (due to her taking care of the lady that came in AFTER US) bc she went and got the other lady w/ green in her hair (named Mariah I believe.. whom isn't even posted as an artist on their IG) . Now, we tell her what we want and the size. She goes to the back for a good 45 mins just to prepare the stencil ALONE. Idk about y'all but it's never taken anyone that long to do a simple stencil of the basic tatts that we got. (I'll attach pics for reference and you guys can tell me if I'm trippin) So, I want to say the shop opens at like 11 and we got there maybe around 11:45ish-12. They close on Sundays at like 5. We probably finally left around 3:45-4... for two 2x2 tattoos. My issue about that day is mainly just the wait time bc AINT NO WAY! And better yet, the artists that were there were moving slow af (seemed intentional). Both of the artists that had customers when we first got there were literally just walking back and forth to the back. Taking their time setting up for the next person. Literally took them maybe an hour to even get someone else in their seats. Once again, keep in mind, these are simple "flash tattoos" lol I can't make this up! And they can get on here saying "Oh we need a break" and etc BUT, they saw that people kept coming in and continued to move extremely lethargic. It's like, do you guys want the business or not?? Because people were definitely coming through. We wanted to leave so bad BUT we had already driven out there and waited for so long that it was just one of those "we might as well stay" type of times. And to add insult to injury, the flyer that was posted on IG said nothing about the tatts being limited to just arms and legs. If I'm not mistaken, isn't that false advertisement? I said all of that to say this: I do not recommend this shop during a flash sale. On any other regular day, maybe they're the (poop emoji), but last weekend, absolutely not . Did not bring their A-game. Just sharing my experience.

Swan had very poor communication skills. I drove 4 hours to get my eyebrows done, for him to just…read moreturn me away for arriving 10 minutes late due to MULTIPLE accidents happening on the freeway. He blamed me for not "planning". My initial confirmed appointment time was at 5PM. I live 100 miles away and Google estimated it taking 2.5 hours. I was able to leave work early for the day of my appointment, so the day before, I asked if I could move my time to 4PM so we could finish earlier. He said yes. The day of my appointment I left my house at 1PM. I texted him at 1:30PM after I got onto the freeway and Google updated my time of arrival to 4:54PM (basically 5PM) due to gridlock traffic, he gave no response. After 4 hours of battling traffic, I was stuck behind more slow traffic on the two lane highway that leads to his location in Hemet, the new ETA was 10 minutes after my appointment time. I texted him at 4:50PM letting him know that I would get there in 20 minutes (5:10PM). He suddenly bombarded me texts saying that I should've rescheduled if I knew that I couldn't make it, and that he had been waiting since 3:30PM. I was in traffic when he texted this, so I called him immediately because I'm like 10 minutes away at this point and just drove 4 hours. He ignored all 4 of my calls. I finally get there at 5:09PM and call again, he finally picks up. He meets me outside and leads me to his salon. He starts berating me and saying that he cant do my eyebrows, I should have planned better and other clients come from LA and are on time. I explained that there were multiple accidents and Google changed the time of arrival while I was already driving. I told him that my original appointment was at 5PM anyway, I only changed to 4PM because I was able to get off work early. HOw can I plan for multiple accidents after leaving 3 hours early already for the (4pm appt), without the accidents I would have been there at 3:30PM. So he calms down after I explain all of this, and he acts like he will do my eyebrows. He keeps throwing sassy comments like, "oh I see you had time for makeup". Even though I put on makeup at 6AM for work... Then, after I explain what I want for my eyebrows he says, "Oh, I'm not sure if this will work for you, a pencil will give you the bold look that you like, the tattoo will fade away" Basically making it seem like his services are a waste of time and money ($800). Even though I sent him photos of my bare eyebrows and what I liked a month before and he said that he could achieve that permanently with only a color enhancement in a few years. Then he draws on a template eyebrow and I said that I liked it and lets do it, and he says, " you can draw on your own eyebrow and I can just tattoo it on, I've never drawn an eyebrow like that in my life"... It was a basic eyebrow. Then he says, yeah unfortunately I wont be able to accommodate you today, you can reschedule. Why would I reschedule and risk this happening again, its not like I can predict accidents. And that was that, Wasted half of my day driving for nothing.

JoAnn Salgado replied to my request quickly for an updo hairstyle and make-up for the wedding as a…read moremother of the groom plus a girlfriend for a total makeover.  Jo Ann is very professional, and from the very start of our discussions, she laid out plans on how and what we should be putting together such as our preferred hairstyles and glam makeup.  She's very detailed in her approach and scheduled a digital meeting before the week of the actual day.   On our actual scheduled day, she came right on time, complete with all her essential tools and devices from lights to two set of chairs and other make-up paraphernalia. JoAnn took her time and in no way rushing in styling an updo for me and also with my girlfriend that worked very well with our preferred hairstyles.  Also, based on her expertise, she suggested hairstyles best suited to our face shapes, which was in sync with our chosen styles. When it came to make-up makeover, this took about an hour & a half for each of us to be completed.   It began with the prepping of my facial skin and the same as with the hairstyles, she never rushed.   She made me and my girlfriend as glamorous but in a soft and natural glam ways.  Our morning appointment with JoAnn started first thing in the morning and ended about 5 hours for 2 people.   Our make-up stayed the whole day and night,  never been retouched but looking moist, luminous, and radiant.   We received compliments from other wedding guests with our updo and make-up.   Thank you JoAnn for making our day no stress and looking glamorous!
