After snoozing in my arms while Heather and I discussed the best cut for his lifestyle, he happily headed off for his haircut. I cannot even tell you how amazed I was when I picked him up. It brought tears to my eyes. He looked AMAZING. I highly recommend Heather and Paw Springs for anyone who's nervous for their first grooming encounter. This was above and beyond. Thank you! A few things to know before you go: Gro-Moore is cash only, but there is an ATM on-site. Be sure to bring your own containers, or you can purchase one there. When you arrive, there's a farm stand at the front that sells pre-picked strawberries for $8.50 per quart. From there, you'll drive down a bumpy gravel road to a large parking area. After checking in and either purchasing a container or showing the one you brought, you'll be directed to a specific row for picking. A worker will tell you where to start, which is marked by a flag left by the previous picker who finished that section. Picking strawberries can be labor-intensive since you'll be crouched low to the ground, but it's well worth the effort. Once you're done, you head back to pay. I filled a huge container for just $10. The strawberries were incredibly sweet, juicy, and bright red. I'll definitely be back next year! Their Facebook page is kept very up to date with current picking conditions and information. This year, there was even an ice cream truck on-site, which was a huge hit with the kids.

They need to find a way to control that or get additional grandstand installed.

The donuts were homemade Amish donuts, they were delicious! The pool is indoors so that was nice for Memorial Day weekend when the weather was cold and rainy. Not a lot of places for the kids to play sports or run around being on a hill. They did manage to play some wiffle ball in a small space with a bunch of campground kids. The campground has four docks across the street from the campground that can be used for fishing. Probably will not be back, the steep hill is the deciding factor. A golf cart is almost a necessity for this campground.

The campground has lake access and a few docks. Boat launch is a short distance down the road. There is an indoor pool, water is heated. There are two playgrounds, a few swings and a rec hall. There are events like root beer floats, pancake breakfasts, bingo, well stocked camp store, cabins for rent, overflow parking and a beautiful view. The cons - sites are small, old playground equipment, overgrown walking trail, no ball field or open space for play, not maintained seasonal sites, a few rude seasonal campers and the hill. Steep inclines make this a campground hard to climb and difficult if you don't have full mobility or wearing your trainers. Your vehicle, golf cart or e-bike/scooter is needed to move around the campground easily. Which also means no one is abiding by the speed limit. Small campsites with children running around and the majority of people needing a vehicle of some sort to get up and down the hill is not a great combo. Overall - it is a nice campground with everything that a camper would expect to have and is worth visiting. We probably will not return due to the hill, small sites and our camper grounding out exiting.
