I was a bit apprehensive at first since there was only one Yelp review. Glad I decided to move forward with him. During the walk through and estimation, he was very thorough, bringing up issues I never would have thought of myself. He worked with me to find the most cost-effective way to do all the repairs. Within just a couple of weeks, he replaced all the drywall, rebuilt cabinets, painted, sealed, corrected the whole unit. I was very impressed to see the work was done with very high standards. All the drywall joints were flush and undetectable, cabinets were perfectly trimmed, corners were clean, doors were hung plumb, paint was applied nice and thick. Because this was an insurance-funded repair with my bank holding the payments, there were delays and errors in the payment processing. He was very patient and willing to work with me on creative ways to get him paid. After the job was done, the new tenant reported a faucet he had installed broke off. We are not sure if the tenant broke it, or if the part was faulty, but John ordered the replacement part and repaired it promptly without hesitation. This is an indication of the high standard John works to. I will definitely use him for any future projects in the area.

That is exactly what they did. Plus broke seal on new window. Jen Weld came to replace two weeks later. Handyman was paid to repair wrong cut, patch, texture, buy matching paint. clean Sil caulk off window and black spatter on wall costing hundreds and inconvenience to new tenant and owner. One worker yelled F..k when I explained Erik knew where cut was not to go and make sure it had a view! The "f" word was used while sitting on tail gate blabbing. I watched on my ring camera! Turns out there is a violation code on her title. Sunrise Roofing never had the final inspections done on the roof. So now we are currently at Shasta County Building Permit Center paying a total of just under $550 to get them to come out and inspect the roof and cancel the violation and her closing for her refinancing of the home is pushed out until all of this is taken care of. I have tried calling Sunrise Roofing multiple times to talk to them about this and they have not answered.

When a different county inspector flagged some additional items that weren't part of the original inspection, the team returned quickly to fix them, which we really appreciated. The only downside was communication. Since we received the quote through our realtor, we weren't on-site during the initial assessment to discuss issues and preferences directly with the roofer. A kick-off meeting or call would have been helpful to go over our options, ask questions, and get a better sense of the timeline. We were always playing catch-up with questions and requests because we got a days' notice for tear off (which is understandable with winter weather of course). Additionally, there were a couple of instances where the crew arrived without prior notice, and it was just luck that someone was home to put the dogs away. Despite the communication, the quality of work was excellent, and they addressed every concern we had.
