I found Innovative Women's Health and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Dedelow. He was bored and impersonal the first time we met. The office staff was equally unfriendly, however I thought maybe I had been spoiled by my previous dr so I scheduled my next appointment which he wasn't even there for to my surprise. I wish they had forewarned me ahead of time that I wouldn't actually see my dr but every other appointment. I felt less comfortable about the situation so I scheduled my next appointment with Dr. Dunlap. She seemed nice, but it was obvious she didn't read my chart at all. She couldn't find my baby's heartbeat at 19 weeks and had me schedule my own ultrasound for the next day, leaving me stressed and worried all night. Everything in the u/s came back normal and healthy, yet my next appointment she tried to find the heartbeat for about 5 seconds before giving up and blaming my "annoying anterior placenta". Um, I read the u/s too. I did not have an anterior placenta. Once again, she didn't even bother reading my chart. Needless to say I found a new dr at a different office and when I asked him to confirm that I had a posterior placenta because Dunlap told me it was anterior, he laughed out loud because it couldn't BE anymore posterior! Do not trust these people with your health, or the health of your child!

I chose Dr. Weiler as my physician upon moving to Chicago 7 years ago and every time I see her I…read moremarvel at what a truly great choice that was. This time it was an injury to my arm. I misjudged the weight of a crate and ouch, that hurt. I assumed it was a simple muscle strain, but I'm no physician. Dr. Weiler, however, recognized my symptoms as consistent with a more serious injury and, thanks to her and her very professional staff, I had an X-ray, an MRI and saw a specialist, all within four days of my initial visit with her. There's no way I could've achieved all these appointments on my own. It's only because of Dr. Weiler and her staff that I got in to see a specialist that very same week. UPDATE: Within 10 days of that first appointment with Dr. Weiler, I learned I'd suffered a 95-percent separation of my bicep, and had the surgery necessary to correct it. Yes. All within 10 days. If not for Dr. Weiler, the injury I mistook for a simple strain could've very easily become so severe that even surgery wouldn't have been an option. Besides that, the specialist to whom she referred me was among the best of the best. Another win for Dr. Weiler. She's got a lot of those.

With some coaxing she agreed and he treated her on the spot. She was a completely new woman. Lots of fun and energy. No more epileptic petit mal seizures. Wow! She was like a teenager and was now very hard for me to keep up with. That was over 25 years ago. The very first time that led me to Dr. Shepherd was after I had been to a number of specialists. That was in the mid 1980's and they prescribed many different drugs to combat my debilitating illness that was caused by a severe electric shock. Those medications made me feel worse. My dentist told me to see this uniquely wonderful physician. Dr. Shepherd's treatment got rid of my excruciating headaches, stopped the seizures and got me off those drugs. I say he saved my life and made me whole.
