Needless to say, my teeth needed some attention. Deep cleaning, a couple of fillings, and a recommendation to pull the old wisdoms. Too this wimp= HELL! But I knew I had to suck it up and get it done or it was all gonna get worse. I puffed up my chest, brushed my teeth extra good (like it matters at this point) and walked into the lions den to get chewed up. First was the deep cleaning. I remembered cleanings when I was younger. The scraping (the SOUND!!) and the occasional needle. I think it was the needle I always feared the most. It really hurts. But I was first given this grape-ish flavored goop on a Q-Tip and it was rubbed on the old sensitive gums. Here it comes...the needle...and then it never came. I mean, I was needled alright. But I felt NOTHING! Not even pressure. What was I afraid of?!? Once I learned that all I had to do was sit there and make jokes with the staff and trust they wouldn't lemme bite my cheek and tongue, it was smooth sailing. Drilling for cavities, no prob. Took about 2.5 hrs for all the numbing to wear off. But what a trade off. A no-pain dentist? Yes please. I asked why they had a pretty mediocre YELP rating and it seems that a lot of the staff is new and not the culprits of the bad reviews. I go back in two weeks for more work and I can honestly say, I ain't scared anymore.

When I returned 6 months later for my bi-annual appointment, they stated I needed 3 additional teeth filled. I decided to get a second opinion and the new dentist showed me my x-rays and stated that I did NOT need any fillings and that my teeth were very health. They were very concerned that I had been told false information and questioned how many fillings I actually needed in the past. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this practice.

Then the permanent crown they put on broke after about a month. All in all I paid almost 1600 dollars for a half busted crown. They offered to upgrade me to a better crown but I simply do not trust their work and they continued to blame the poor quality on my insurance. I get that I couldn't afford their top of the line crown but a crown should last more than a few weeks.
