I made an appointment for my daughter (17) & what a pleasant experience! Finding a good dentist is hard, but finding an exceptional one is nearly impossible! They definitely exceeded my expectations on all levels. My daughter did not have a negative thing to say about them. First off, when you drive up to their office it's quite impressive. When we walked in we were greeted by two front desk assistants that were incredibly nice & professional. The waiting room was vibrant, clean & comfortable. I went back with my daughter, they got her settled in her room & went over things with me. (Very detailed) My daughter said the patient chairs were the best she'd ever been in. Her cleaning went well & she was very pleased with the end result! They recommended getting her wisdom teeth out (that won't be so wonderful, but necessary! She has severe TMJ issues that if not monitored things could get extremely painful for her. She got her braces off yesterday. So the dentist will play an instrumental part in making sure she doesn't slide backwards. The dentist was friendly & did a great job explaining what the next steps would be for her. We will definitely be going back for further dental needs. Sullivan Dental was AMAZING for helping me get ready for my wedding! I didn't think Invisalign was possible in time for my wedding happening in 7 months but HIBA made it happen!!! She put me on a plan that was fairly fast-tracked but thoughtful that got me a gorgeous smile for our special day with a brief final wrap-up a month or so after. Hiba really goes the extra mile and even accommodated special circumstances like engagement photos, my bachelorette party and bridal shower when I really didn't want attachments on my teeth. She took the time and attention to remove/strategize the plan to take off/put back on so I was confident for photos. I can't thank her enough!! Right before my wedding, I wanted to get bonding replaced on a couple teeth done several years ago (at another dentist) that had changed colors some and Dr. Meghana advised I just do veneers which would last longer. And wow I'm so glad I did! She did an *amazing* job... so attentive to detail. Another great cleaning and this was my first time in the new building just next door to the old location. I attached the photo of the outside and it is better than great! Brook as always gave me a great cleaning that was absolutely thorough and relaxing. Doctor Jackson Hall who is new to me was great. Meghan, RDA and Dr. Sarah were a DREAM to work with. To start, I have bad dental anxiety (hadn't seen a dentist in 10+ years bad). Lucky me I cracked a tooth and had to face my fear of dentists because I fear infections/abscesses more than dentists. They were able to get me in the very next day to be evaluated. I told the staff about my dental anxiety and they couldn't have been more accommodating and kind to me. They allowed husband to come back with me, talked me through every step of the process, took time to listen to my concerns/questions and just blew me away with their compassion and thoroughness (and laughing gas; it helped a bunch). It's easy to tell they have experience in helping patients work through their dental anxiety/fear. They have many resources to offer for people like me and allowed me to decide what would work best for me. I felt safe and cared for the whole time from the front door to going home. The front office staff are equally as kind and welcoming. The space is clean and nice. Still don't love the dentist, but this staff is making returning for future care less scary. I came to Yelp to find a dentist in Nashville since I am normally located in Los Angeles. Honestly I Just read their reviews and went for it. I downloaded the app the night before my appt (which I was lucky to get in as early as the morning after my search) and was able to input all my info online so that when I arrived I had nothing to fill out. I was seen within a few minutes of my arrival which doesn't happen at a lot of doctors offices, so I was extremely happy about that. From the moment I walked in I felt like I made the right choice. Nice clean office. Everyone was friendly and they made sure they met my needs to the best of their ability. My favorite part about it was they didn't push for any unnecessary procedures. They spoke with me thoroughly about a plan of action (I had a lot going on) and we got everything done within a week of my first visit. I will definitely be back as I've signed up for their membership. Since I'll be in Nashville for 6 months out the year I figured I should find a home dentist that I can trust and keep up with my cleanings/exams so I don't have these problems as I did before. I drove a total of about 80 miles to see this dentist mainly based on perfect reviews and an excellent and informative website. Sure, I could rate Dr. Sullivan a perfect score and that will be it. He was very professional, detailed in explanation, and definitely demonstrated an impressive set of skills. My negative score reflects on: 1. Overwhelming staff attendance to me in X-ray despite the fact that my most recent [less than 3 weeks old] X-ray was transferred to their office, taking the volume of pictures with some 6-inch metal placed in my mouth and not being sure if that long metal was thoroughly sterilized. It was not disposable. 2. The financial lady registered the most negative impression on my wife and me. First, there was no need for her to be present in the exam room. This was not professional practice and a violation of my privacy. Secondly, the financial information [ about $6k for an implant and about $4k for a bridge] she provided was inconsistent with a previous estimate [$2k for an implant and mid $5k for the bridge] provided on the phone and even with what the doctor himself told me [approx. $4k for the implant] during the exam. Thirdly, she did not fulfill her promise to send me a printout of the estimates for both the bridge and the implant. And lastly, she promised to call me a week from that Friday when we were there, but today is Monday (3 days past Friday], I am still expecting her call! 3. Overall, both the medical/clinical services and the administration of the services need to synergize with respect to your patient's integrity and time. It is the least you could do to sustain your good reputation. Does it matter if I am black with an accent? Just for the asking!! read more

Over the course of one year they told me that i had 9-11 cavities. I believed them at face value because Im not a dentist. When I came in about three days ago without even examining or taking x-rays, the dentist told me that I had 4 to 5 more. That's when the alarm bells went off and I knew something was wrong. It makes me mad because now I don't know what actually was a cavity and what actually was just a cash grab. I have never had more than two cavities over the course of 18 years so having all of these filled at one time was very surprising to me. they took advantage of me because I am young, came in by myself and have good dental insurance. The five more they wanted me to fill was going to cost me $2300 out-of-pocket. I went to my original dentist today and he said none of that work needed to be completed. I had to find another dentist since my last one retired. I thought she was wonderful. I end up at Dr. Sullivan's for a first time appointment. They did a 3D scan and thorough x-rays along with pictures of my gums and teeth as part of their initial consultation. Then, lo and behold, Dr. Sullivan finds a molar with resorption (mine was an interior pulp problem not visible with normal x-rays). This issue can only be seen on a 3D scan. Who knows how long it's been there? It's very close to the nerve and could eventually have been a problem if it had not been found by this knowledgeable and thorough dentist! They are consistent and conservative - they don't recommend expensive treatments unless you really need them. They've let me go a while with some really old fillings, which I appreciate. New to the area and looking for a dental office to call home. Happened upon this place using Yelp! Very happy with my choice. The entire team is incredibly personnable, attentive, and very sweet. I was in the worse way with one of my old fillings that potentially turned jnto a worse situation; however, if it wasn't for this tooth I wouldn't have discovered the LANAP treatment. Moving around for work a lot I haven't had the patience to set up a cleaning routine so needless to say I was overdue. They mentioned the treatment was new and only a few people were certified to do it. I decided to proceed and have been happy with my choice ever since. The procedure itself was, from what I felt, minimally invasive and the post care was very manageable. The day after the procedure I already felt the difference in my gums and overall cleanliness of my teeth. Overall a new mouth! Pain was easily maintained with over the counter meds and the healing process took just under a week. I highly recommend this procedure to anyone who is wanting to make a change in their overall gum health. read more

Had a lot of work done under sedation by Dr. Sully, the son. First time seeing him & it was the last. They were nice but that was it! HORRIBLE work & I paid extra to go to this place & have the sedation done. When I was under sedation, WITHOUT asking me beforehand!!!!!, IF he could do this....he cut off parts of 2 teeth that were rubbing behind 2 of my front teeth. This left a vertical gap on these 2 teeth that yes looked as if they had been cut in half. I had no more rubbing behind the teeth but THIS was suppose to fix it? This left me with a NOTICEABLE gap on both sides of the teeth, which I didn't have prior to! Afterwards I struggled for months & now about 2 yrs? with food getting stuck in that gap, irritating my gum, and finally pieces are rotting off the 2 cut teeth! Now I'll have no other option other than completely removing them & put implants in. Dr. Sully, did NOT ask me to do this, he just did it & it has cost me pain, irritation, & permanent DAMAGE! IDK where or who taught this dentist but he is absolutely flying by the good name of his family & NOT by skill! I should have sued him, this seriously was a situation for that & I'm not one of those people! read more

I was moving to Florida in two weeks and my crown broke. I had been seeing my old dentist in Chattanooga, but they said it would take two weeks to get the crown in (right during my move to Florida). They suggested I look for a Nashville dentist that makes crowns in house. I called one place and no luck, but saw Sullivan and tried them next after reading reviews. Dr. Meghana took fantastic care of my emergency crown replacement in just a couple of hours, and Celeste my hygienist was also wonderful. They both offered great advice for some issues I've had for awhile, even though I was moving to Florida and wouldn't be able to come back. Very friendly staff, and Dr. Meghana was extra careful to make sure I was numb and anxiety free when I told her I had trouble before. I found Sullivan Dental Partners through an on-line search and saw they had great reviews. I called on a Sunday evening and left a message on the emergency line with hopes that I could get an appointment sometime the following day.
