You go, home think it over, get your H&P and by the time the Nurse calls to get you ready for surgery you share your final input. Its all in a nice little pamphlet incase you forget. I booked a surgery date of June 10th with the caveat that I would need to quit smoking 4 weeks before surgery. Anyone who has had to do this knows it's difficult. I reached out a little over a month before surgery and asked about the timelines because I was getting nervous about quitting and had just picked up my meds to quite. The response I received is attached to the review. Never once did I mention not having the surgery but they immediately went to how I was now having to pay $4000 to book. Disgusting, fraudulent and unprofessional to say the least. Nobody in their right mind would allow someone to perform surgery on their face after being treated like this. Be aware. The results of my two facial surgeries are very good, and the scars are negligible, which is important for a facial surgery. I could hear the interaction between Dr. Tolan and his surgical staff during my second surgery. That was refreshing. The clinic is well run, appointments usually run on time, and Dr. Tolan spends the requisite amount of time with each patient. The date of my consultation I miss judged how long it would take me to get to his office and was very late. I was stressed and had anxiety because I thought I would miss my appointment which is hard enough for me to make. I text DR. Pawel to let him know I would be late. He said "no problem let me know when you have arrived" When I finally reached the office DR. Pawel greeted me and spent a lot of time with me going over the whole procedure, asking me questions and getting to know me plus Doing the exam I am 53 years old and I wanted a mommy makeover! A much needed breast reduction/lift, lipo and tummy tuck. I was very specific and telling DR. Pawel what I wanted. That day in his office I was so impressed with DR. Pawel and became comfortable with him and his demeanor that by the end of the consultation I listen to my gut feeling and when ahead and schedule the surgery. Normally I would have to do a lot of research and thinking before making such a big decision. Dr. Paul let me pick a day and then later called to confirm and text me everything that we went over. Pawel is able to keep his prices so low, usually the surgery is about the same as the surgery centers fees in my experience. The nurses that assisted DR. Pawel were great! Lindsey took the time to listen to my concerns and educated me on the process, and when performing the procedure she had such a calm presence and demeanor and made for a more relaxing situation. Lindey helped with lip filler, cheek filler, and Botox. You could tell that patience and comfort are one of Lindsey's top priorities along with precision. I'm so happy my lips didn't bruise! Once I was taken back into the procedure room, all of the techs, or nurses, introduced themselves. The room itself was relaxing and saturated in large windows, so it didn't feel cold and lifeless like some medical offices do. Jersey did my numbing and I actually didn't feel anything, other than a few small stings in the beginning. While she did that, Miko (I apologize if I forget her name, since I was pretty out of it at that point from the Valium) used a massager on my back to trick my nerves from feeling too much pain from the anesthetic. From there, Dr. Joe came in and decided exactly how to cover my scar. Then, the techs/nurses placed everything. The entire process took about 6-7 hours. I was asleep about 90% of the time. Overall, everyone made me feel very easy and relaxed, which I appreciated it. If you're looking for a hair transplant clinic, I'd definitely recommend this one.
