Kennedy's is a great place for trees or shrubs but I was excited when I learned they also do wedding flowers. Paul was a pleasure to work with and did an amazing job, my bridesmaids and I were blown away with how stunning our bouquets came out and they were very reasonably priced.

But they also sell a wide variety of bushes, shrubs, some trees, hanging plants, hay, fertilizers, plant foods and decor for your garden. As far as I know, there is no "guarantee" on any of the plants, trees, shrubs, etc here such as there is at place like Lowe's or Home Depot so that should be a factor in determining what you buy here. For most things, the prices tend to be on the high side although the vegetable starts we buy are in the ballpark. They do have some beautiful garden decor like chimes, birdbaths, and the like but these are on the high end. I saw a lovely stone cairn but it was priced ridiculously high for what it was and despite its loveliness I walked away. I wish there were more employees roaming around looking to see who might need assistance. I know it's very busy for them especially during the spring but to have a few dedicated people available to help shoppers would be welcome. We have had to wander about to track staff down if we have a question. Parking can be tight in high planting season so I recommend going early. I will say that despite the ridiculous and extended heat wave we had this summer, our tomatoes have really been going strong. I picked another basketful just yesterday morning and will go out there shortly to see what I have today. We also had an abundance of zucchini and I was thrilled to have lots and lots of zucchini flowers because I love to stuff and fry those. (If you've not eaten stuffed zucchini flowers you are missing a treat and it's worth planting zucchini if just for the flowers). We also had bumper crop of cucumbers coming from just 3 plants. I am thrilled we didn't plant any more! As it is, the neighbors were probably hiding from us worried that we were bringing more over. Three of the tomato starts seemed to whither and die early on even before the heatwave so it's not clear whether that was because the plant starts weren't healthy, our planting error or just the luck of the draw. Overall, with lots of effort on our parts (which is par for the course with gardening) we did well with the plant starts we bought here.

One fair warning, hire your own landscapers for any installation. Their fly by night crew does sub par work, places piles of dirt in random places on your property, leaves large rocks in your grass, and charges a wild amount of money. No joke, more money than professional landscape crews. Felt a bit taken by this and likely won't return again.

The plants are always high quality and they have such a great selection, but it can be pricey compared to other nurseries in the area. During the Spring and Summer they have a sprawling selection of plants, trees, and shrubs, I could (and have) spent hours browsing through them all. The staff is always really nice and you get the vibe that they're genuinely interested in your project and happy to give recommendations. In addition to the actual plants, they have landscaping services, lots of gardening supplies, and even decorative items and gifts. I haven't participated in anything just yet, but they even host all kinds of events and classes throughout the year. Overall, I'm super happy to have such a fun community spot nearby. They only lost a star for me because of the high prices, but as long as the plants keep doing so well I'll keep coming back anyways :)

To be honest, I don't think that we were expecting a miracle from someone to do this for us with no appointment. Guess what Ms. Vicki did, although they were low on staff, she accompanied us not only by repotting our plants, but also by explaining how to do it. Her wonderful sense of humor made our day! We love you, Ms. Vicki. Don't change your beautiful personality. And to add, my plants thank you so much. They are blooming with joy! Last but not least, we walk out with not only the plants we brought with us but two new plants...lol

Every…read moreyear we've ordered mulch from them because they've always been reliable, provided excellent customer service, and delivered quickly and seamlessly. Until this year, we had nothing but positive things to say. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was completely unacceptable and has left us extremely disappointed. When we called to order mulch, we were told the credit card machine was down, so we couldn't pay over the phone. We were informed that paying the driver upon delivery was an option. We were also told the mulch would be delivered the following afternoon and that the driver would call before arriving. I stayed home all day waiting for the delivery. At 4:20 p.m., I had to leave briefly to pick up my child from daycare for a 4:30 pickup. Shortly after, I received a call from Nelson Landscape stating the mulch had already been delivered. The employee who called was rude, disrespectful, and immediately demanded payment. They insisted I had been told delivery would occur between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., which was never communicated to me. Had I been given that information, I would have made other arrangements. When I asked if I could provide my credit card over the phone, I was told no one was in the office to take payment. I then asked if I could simply call back the next day to pay by credit card. Instead of receiving a reasonable response, the employee said, "Whatever, I don't have time to deal with this," and hung up on me. After years of being a consistent, reliable customer, this level of customer service was shocking. The interaction was disrespectful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We understand that mistakes and miscommunications happen, but there is never an excuse for treating loyal customers this way. Given the way I was spoken to and the complete lack of professionalism shown during this interaction, we can no longer support this company. It's incredibly disappointing that after years of loyalty, one employee's disrespectful behavior has completely changed our opinion of a business we once trusted and happily recommended.

Not only is she the consummate professional, she really knows her stuff…read more I needed help in landscaping my family's front yard - as a surprise - and needed it to be beautiful and low maintenance. A friend recommended Rebecca and I am so happy she did. Since it is summer, this is her busy season yet she still found time to come out to the site, do some hands on 'study' of the property, asked for my price point and went to work. I am not a gardener - plants run when they see me coming - so her patience and constant reassurance was key and soothing. She showed up with her Jeep, her tools, iced tea and wonderful smile... and she put me to work (I volunteered) so I could get a feel for things. Ever the perfectionist, Rebecca delivered just what I needed and wanted. Again, not knowing the first thing about plants, green things or the costs of such work, I asked my wine drinking housewife friends about the pricing and they all assured me it was very good and competitive. If you need a little something special done with a nice feminine touch and personable one-on-one serviceability, look no further. Rebecca is your gal pal. AND dogs love her.
