This place has a great selection of flowers, vegetable and herb starts which is the primary reason we come here every early spring. But they also sell a wide variety of bushes, shrubs, some trees, hanging plants, hay, fertilizers, plant foods and decor for your garden. As far as I know, there is no "guarantee" on any of the plants, trees, shrubs, etc here such as there is at place like Lowe's or Home Depot so that should be a factor in determining what you buy here. For most things, the prices tend to be on the high side although the vegetable starts we buy are in the ballpark. They do have some beautiful garden decor like chimes, birdbaths, and the like but these are on the high end. I saw a lovely stone cairn but it was priced ridiculously high for what it was and despite its loveliness I walked away. I wish there were more employees roaming around looking to see who might need assistance. I know it's very busy for them especially during the spring but to have a few dedicated people available to help shoppers would be welcome. We have had to wander about to track staff down if we have a question. Parking can be tight in high planting season so I recommend going early. I will say that despite the ridiculous and extended heat wave we had this summer, our tomatoes have really been going strong. I picked another basketful just yesterday morning and will go out there shortly to see what I have today. We also had an abundance of zucchini and I was thrilled to have lots and lots of zucchini flowers because I love to stuff and fry those. (If you've not eaten stuffed zucchini flowers you are missing a treat and it's worth planting zucchini if just for the flowers). We also had bumper crop of cucumbers coming from just 3 plants. I am thrilled we didn't plant any more! As it is, the neighbors were probably hiding from us worried that we were bringing more over. Three of the tomato starts seemed to whither and die early on even before the heatwave so it's not clear whether that was because the plant starts weren't healthy, our planting error or just the luck of the draw. Overall, with lots of effort on our parts (which is par for the course with gardening) we did well with the plant starts we bought here. read more

They have a great selection. Nice trees, bushes, flowers, etc. As others have mentioned they are a bit pricier than places around, and the service can be hit or miss. One fair warning, hire your own landscapers for any installation. Their fly by night crew does sub par work, places piles of dirt in random places on your property, leaves large rocks in your grass, and charges a wild amount of money. No joke, more money than professional landscape crews. Felt a bit taken by this and likely won't return again. read more

Went there 8/14. Walked in and there's 3 people in the cashiers hut. No one bothered to look up or even ask if I needed help. Appears that their phones had something more interesting to look at than paying customers. Bought what I needed after I asked for some help and got out of there. If they had been more helpful, I'd probably have browsed around and bought more items but I was really put off by their lack of interest. read more

Good selection of conifers (unusual ones, too!) and very helpful staff. Selection of perennials is a bit limited. Prices are high, but they appear to be good quality plants. That said, 2 of them died once planted (and a reputable landscaper did the planting, so it was done right). My advice - buy some unusual items here, and fill in with less expensive plants from Home Depot (where they guarantee their plants for 1 year). read more

Normally I wouldn't drive this far from Boston for a few hanging plants, but I got a gift certificate for my birthday, so here I am. Their greenhouses make it really easy to find what you're looking for... so much nicer than the Home Depot parking lot! Then I headed up the hill, and an hour later I found myself still walking the paths through the maze of trees and shrubs and chatting away with the staff. The staff is very informed about all the plant material on site. The nursery is set up in the most logical way. Prices are in keeping with the area but not as high as a close competitor. A ll plant material is well cared for and maintained as soon as it arrives. I only do business there. read more

We were talked into buying an expensive tree, that was not appropriate & apparently too fragile for our area. Began having problems after 6 months,and returned to ask for advice. We were told it was still alive, and followed this advice to the letter, without improvement. Finally, when it was obvious it was dead this spring, we again returned, & were told it "didn't survive the winter". When we mentioned the history, they claimed the problems were never logged in their records. They refused to even offer us a break on a replacement tree. When we said we won't be returning, they said "ok"...This place has an air of arrogance about it. Doesn't treat customers with respect and clearly does not stand behind their products. Note to ownership-Please don't bother to give your spin on how soil, environment, etc can effect survival. We've planted multiple trees, and invested time, money & effort to save the one you sold us. Try respecting your customers. If not, the next downturn in the economy will likely be impactful for you. read more

I Love, Love this place! The people are friendly, honest, knowledgeable, I've been coming here for years and years. My husband is the true talent and artist and he turned me on to this wonderful establishment long ago when I had absolutely no interest or enthusiasm. Now with our wonderful grandson, we visit without PA to grab hay for our scarecrow in the fall and our seeds and plantings for our vegetable garden. My husband has purchased gorgeous trees, shrubs and of course flowers for our spectacular yard. The Wisteria Plant with a fabulous twisted trunk has now bloomed and been shaped perfectly to our hand made arbor! This place is not to be confused with That other plant place called That Blooming Thing or Blooming place in Weymouth, & more recently popping up on the south shore.... I feel they are desperate to get business as in my experience they were horrible and dishonest! and this Every Bloomin' Thing in Scituate is a credible establishment with repeat customers because they treat their customers right! Kudos to them, They are consistently wonderful! I am a forever customer! Thank You Every Bloomin' Thing! I have signed up for their emails and now am learning about as well as loving my outdoors!! Lucky us, we have a sunroom and enjoy amazing blooms all year !! My poinsettia is still thriving, It is almost June... almost embarrassing except I got the slight off white one...still looks great! hehhe Happy planting folks! They have to make money; yet prices are okay! We purchased a gorgeous tree for a friend in memory of her mom, a forever tribute!
