My daughter and I visit Seoane on occasions and have never been disappointed. We came in on 6/20/26 at the last hour. We had trays of plants that we bought from home to be repotted. To be honest, I don't think that we were expecting a miracle from someone to do this for us with no appointment. Guess what Ms. Vicki did, although they were low on staff, she accompanied us not only by repotting our plants, but also by explaining how to do it. Her wonderful sense of humor made our day! We love you, Ms. Vicki. Don't change your beautiful personality. And to add, my plants thank you so much. They are blooming with joy! As a first time homeowner in the area, I'm starting to become a bit of a regular at Seoane's. I've purchased everything from Christmas trees to all of the shrubs and perennials in my front yard. The plants are always high quality and they have such a great selection, but it can be pricey compared to other nurseries in the area. During the Spring and Summer they have a sprawling selection of plants, trees, and shrubs, I could (and have) spent hours browsing through them all. The staff is always really nice and you get the vibe that they're genuinely interested in your project and happy to give recommendations. In addition to the actual plants, they have landscaping services, lots of gardening supplies, and even decorative items and gifts. I haven't participated in anything just yet, but they even host all kinds of events and classes throughout the year. Overall, I'm super happy to have such a fun community spot nearby. They only lost a star for me because of the high prices, but as long as the plants keep doing so well I'll keep coming back anyways :) read more

Horrible experience. Met with a landscape designer last fall to prepare for a spring/summer project (Bryce). Never followed up. I called to follow up this spring. Said he would call me. Never did. Different person came out. Explained project desire. Fairly substantial. Called me and said "wasn't big enough". That's fine. But it took 8 months to get to that answer? Moved into the area. Got a quote for landscaping. I'm still waiting to have a good experience. Every time I go, I feel like I'm bothering people by asking where things are. Every time I go no one says good morning or good afternoon. No one greets me. So I wander the whole place looking for inspiration with my huge garden that i have yet to figure out. I buy things here and there, I even have an account. They only reason why I gave three stars instead of two was because two gentlemen on two separate occasions were so helpful helping me look for plants for the front of the house for hedging and for beautiful blooms for lilacs. Purchased 3 ornamental grasses last year at the end of the season. I really love this garden center so we went to the end of the year celebration with pony rides etc. The grass did not take and died. So I brought it back because they advertise that if you bring it back with a receipt then they will replace or refund. Well of course they "don't warranty grasses". So here I am having to go back to a big box store because the mom and pop store doesn't honor what they say. So off to Lowe's which honestly is upsetting but this is EXACTLY why people drift from small business's, zero integrity. So I'm out $100.00, 3 dead grasses and need to purchase more.... read more

I've been buying plants from here for a couple of years now, but I felt compelled to write this review based on my experience with Vicki. She was helpful from the beginning and very patient with explaining all the different options. When I called back for the delivery, she even went as far as to measure the plant for me to ensure we dug the appropriate size hole. We overshot and ordered an extra tree. We recently discovered Seoane Garden Center and had a wonderful experience picking out our Christmas wreath and trees. We appreciated the welcoming knowledgeable and helpful staff and enjoyed the festive atmosphere of hot chocolate pizza and pictures with Santa! We found the Christmas trees and wreaths to be of great quality and it was worth a longer trip for the reasonable prices. The garden shop is a beautiful oasis with many cool garden accessories and gifts. We plan to return for spring shopping. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. Purchased thousands of dollars of bushes from Seoane's and have three large bushes and about four smaller ones that didn't come back after the winter. Was told because I bought them through my company and got a 30% discount that it is considered a "sale" and they don't guarantee anything that's purchased "on sale". Now I have several trees and bushes (that were expensive) that they won't stand behind and have to purchase new ones somewhere else. I'm sure the new place I find will be more than happy to take our business. Not very cool Seoane's to not stand behind your merchandise. read more

Bought a hydrangea there that had a tag in it that showed they were pink flowers and another with red. Three weeks earlier The red bloomed red but the pink bloomed purple. When I called to ask about it they said I need to put lime in soil to make the flowers come out pink and red. Well the reds were red so obviously the soil didn't need lime. They put the wrong tag in the pink hydrangea that cost me $89. I only bought it because I wanted the pink and red. I already have blues. They kept blaming my soil which clearly was not the problem. They told me I had to dig it up to return it instead of offering me any type of discount. Never going there again. They are way too expensive anyway. read more

I purchased a large amount of vegetables and floral plant last weekend they all did great except the azeala plant which starting browning the next day. I was not able to plant until a week later at that time even with consistent watering the blooms died. I took back to exchange and was told because the plant was not in good condition they would not take back and they got the manager Vicki whom said the same thing. I was looking to exchange because it was in bad condition, if it was in good condition I wouldn't of needed to return it. Basically there was a lot of back and forth and they do not back up their products. This should be posted upon entry of near the plants themselves that they will not exchange or take back problem items. Lowe's may not have best selection but they take plant back that fail. read more

I paid top dollar ( my mistake) for landscape design including a new soccer lawn. They contracted to prepare the site, applying compost and three inches of loam. They skipped the loam and put the Sod on Rocky dirt. Told me to keep watering....the lawn looked good till the next spring, half dead. Already. I peeled up the Sod that never rooted into gravel. I have used Seoane landscape and garden center for a number of projects around the house to include planting shrubs myselff, to having them plant for me... I will from now on, choose the later.. My wife and i went to the garden center, and with an expert salesperson, we picked out our trees and shrubs , probably the largest and best selection over the garden centers we have visited in the past. The plants and a crew arrived a few days later, and spent the time to neatly dig out the holes for planting, planted, mulched and cleaned up... a real professional clean and neat installation.. we also have a number of plants we planted years ago that are prospering nicely and are a beautiful accent to our yard. ..other quests ion about plants and yard maintenance have been addressed to them as well, and we have always received excellent advice.. For us in Scituate, its a bit longer drive than some local facilities, but in the end well worth it.. High praise to all at the garden center and landscaping. read more

I went here early in the spring season to look for some large shrubs to go in front of my house. I had an idea of colors i wanted. When i found someone who worked here i asked them for a Barberry plant. Those where the only things i knew that were either green or red and had color in all the seasons. His response was Extremely rude toned "you cant get those in this state because they are now illegal to sell" . I will admit i am a novice and i had NO IDEA! i see them everywhere so never in my wildest dreams would i think it was an illegal plant. typically i would have been greatful to learn this info, but instead i was bitter and angry at how i was treated by this middle aged man. I ended up spending over $800 at Capeway Nursery in Middleboro right after i left Seoane. They were so nice, helped me pick out things and load my truck. They treated me like a customer should have been treated. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Horrible customer service. The front of the garden center looks nice, but if you go down back, all of the plants are dried up/dead, tipped over, not maintained. The manager is incredibly rude. You can never find anyone to help you. They claim to have a one year guarantee but don't stand behind it. They are nice to you when you are buying, but if you have an issue, watch out - they are confrontational, accusatory, and downright mean. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. Very expensive, too. There are much better garden centers around. Shop elsewhere!! read more

Have attended the Container Herb and Container Garden workshops this spring. The classes are great. The staff is knowledgeable and so helpful. My only suggestion is if they could get their class schedule out further in advance so I can plan my work schedule around it. The staff at Seoane are truly amazing. I have been going for years and each time I am beyond impressed. They are so friendly and knowledgeable and no matter how busy they are, act like you are their only customer. They look at my photos of what I need filled and take the time to walk around and show me beautiful options. We have even taken the kids there for Easter pictures w the bunny because we don't want to wait in the mall lines and we get their pictures checked off our list while we have fun getting our Easter plants... They have the best Christmas trees and wreaths too! There are many places more local to me but we always take the drive -- it's well worth it! read more

We've been working with Lou Seoane on the plans for our backyard. He is an amazing artist who puts all his heart and soul into his work. We're so excited to have a tropical paradise with an infinity pool, cabana, and a huge rock waterfall. We love to visit the nursery too for our Christmas tree and annuals every year. Just want to say what great service I received from Seoane's Garden center we bought last year 3 Inkberry Holly bushes that one did not survive and a 2nd was very close to not making it after planting I spoke to John Adams who took care of the issue right away with replacing one and we agreed to try and bring back the 2nd one which just didn't make it almost a year latter.John was out sick and still took care of the problem I was also helped by Cindy at the garden center who went out of her way to help make it right even though she didn't know all the details This is why I shop at Seoane's Garden Center its a no nonsense great service place that backs its products. Came here and bought a Beautiful Giant Bush for $150.00. It was PAID for, TAGGED with our name on it AND MOVED to the SOLD section. Our Landscaper came to pick it up and it was GONE and SOLD. So that means SOMEBODY REMOVED THE RECEIPT AND SOLD SIGN so they could SELL it to someone else. Now there's just junk left to buy of course as its past July 4th. So today we went and picked something much smaller (everything else is gone) and took it with us. Not going to take any chances NOW that they sell THIS ONE! No Discount given as a token of their mistake. So now we are stuck with a $70 CREDIT which forces me to go back. I'm in Retail and when we SCREW UP, we take care of our Customers. Seone's has a great 1 year bush and shrub warrantee which is why I've bought many bushes anrd treess from them including hemlocks, spruces, white pines, boxwoods, lilacs, azaleas, hollys and more. Today I brought in a $130 holly I bought last spring that had died in the fall. John was called to see me about the warrantee. He never had any intention of allowing me to use the warrantee. He told me it probably died from a harsh winter. I said it died in the fall and he asked for pictures. I had no idea I was supposed to take them as it doesn't say that in the warrantee. He said if it died in the fall either I didn't plant it right or it dried out and would not be covered. I brought him out to my car to show him the bush. It was obvious it was planted right, didn't have a disease and had died before vwinter. He told me it dried out and wasnt covered. I just cant believe it. Unfortunately for him i was buying two bushes and looking at flowering fruit trees. Someone else will get that business now. Seoane's is awesome! My wife and I wanted to buy our Chrustmas tree from a local place this year and I've driven by Seoane's a million times and thought we should check them out. It was so much fun-they had the outdoor area all decorated for the holidays and had a real fire pit with hot chocolate. All of the trees were displayed neatly and in their own stands so you could really see how each tree looks. Last year at Home Depot, the trees were all thrown in a heap and it was hard to make a decision. The customer service was great - a very friendly high school student named Matt helped us with everything. Once we picked our tree, he handled everything including a fresh cut of the trunk and he even measured it to make sure it wasn't too big (we have 7 ft ceilings). Matt wrapped the tree and carried it out to my wives SUV-really nice guy and awesome service that I rarely see these days. One last note- we thought it would be a lot more expensive but the prices were right on par with Lowes and Home Depot. We paid $45 for a beautiful 7' Frasier Fur-I actually thought it was a great deal. I swear we paid like 70 last year. Anyways, this place is awesome and I plan on returning in the spring for all my landscaping needs. Thanks for a great tree and thanks Matt for all your help!! read more

Don't be fooled by the beautiful appearance of this garden center. On May 12 I popped into the garden center on a whim to pick up a few herb plants and maybe a succulent or two. I purchased 2 herb plants and a string of pearls succulent. One of the herb plants died within a week. Not a big deal. $5.00. Chalked it up to the crazy weather we've been having. The succulent was struggling and NEVER needed water (I checked it frequently). To me at $12.99 for a 6" plant is overpriced. But, I splurged. Upon taking a close look at the plant TODAY (May 24) it was clearly dying and had bugs. So, I dug out my receipt intending to bring it back and get a replacement. Upon looking at the receipt, I realized I was overcharged $3.00 for the plant. So, here I was, gazing at a plant that I paid $16.00 for just 12 days ago! I put my pup in the car and headed over. I figured this would be quick and painless. So I left my pup in the car. I went to the counter and explained to the worker. She tried, but doesn't know how to do returns and said that I'd have to wait for Vicky to come back. I said, "I hope it's not long, I have a dog in the car." To which she replied, "Oh well". Really now. I have a dead plant that I was overcharged for with a dog sitting in a hot car and that's the response I get? Then, after only a short time, Vicky comes. She immediately became very confrontational, accusatory and very disrespectful to me. Telling me she wasn't giving me back my money and that I overwatered the plant, that I should have brought it back the next day, that I underwatered it, etc. the only thing she was willing to do is give me the 3.00 I was overcharged. All the while glaring at me like I was some type of a peasant. She was attempting to intimidate me and I don't allow that. I believe she sensed that I wasn't easily intimidated and gave me the full amount back. Which was good because I wasn't leaving there without it. This happened in front of other customers. Love this place for a few reasons: #1 local business owner. # 2 knowledgable staff. # 3 great products. Talk to any one there and they know their stuff. I have an oversized window box in full sun. For 7 years everything I plant has died.I finally asked a Seone employee and she designed a window box full of plants that have survived this summer with only two waterings. read more

I bought 6 shrubs at Seoanes last fall. Over the winter they developed brown and white spots. I went in early Spring to find out what was wrong. I was told to buy some fertilizer. That didn't work. As the Spring progresses there are more and more damaged leaves and the blooms are stunted. I checked the shrubs currently on sale. Many of the shrubs on their lot have the same issue. But they won't take responsibility. This week one of the shrubs died and they refuse to honor the guaranty and replace it. Don't buy anything important here. read more

I have purchased plants from this place the last few years. The first year I bought an azalea bush for $65. There prices are not cheap. When the plant died after a few months I called to inquire about their policy of replacing plants and was told I must bring it back in the container that it was purchased in. Although, I had my receipt, I did not have the container. So this year I saved everything when I spent well over $100 for plants. When a Rose of Sharon failed to do anything after being in the ground for nearly 3 months, I returned it. The guy thought of every reason why they should not give a refund or replace the bush. First he asked if I had fertized it. I said no. (he would have accused me of killing it if I had) but he said I should have. Then he said I should have taken a picture of it instead of bringing it in. The warranty states that you must provide a receipt along with the plant. He pointed out a differant directive on the bottom that said "Do not dig up the plant unless we instruct you" When I had called, the girl said to just bring it in. Bottom line, he was rude and had no intention of refunding or replacing the plant. So their Plant Guarantee is a lie. I will go to Home Depot or BJ's and pay half the price, with no problems returning a dead plant in the future. read more

The BEST spot for shrubs, trees, perennials, and annuals. The staff is outstanding! So helpful and nice. They even offer classes. I have taken the herb and the flower container gardening classes. They supply everything you need! It was terrific and fun! They will even help you design a garden area if you bring pictures and be sure to tell them how much sunlight the area gets. We completely renovated our pool and backyard. Brice was smart, creative, and very attentive to all our needs pre, during and post our project.
