I was all for it and he wrapped a padding around my foot that would mimic the effects of an orthotic. I took a couple of steps with the wrapping around my foot and it made my foot pain worse than without it. However, this isn't why I'm leaving this one star review. The way Dr. D'Ortone's demeanor changed after I responded negatively to the orthotic was appalling. He questioned, "Why are you wasting my time?", "Do you even have pain in your foot?" I hope Dr. D'Ortone reads this message and strives to understand and listen to his patient's concerns instead of jumping to conclusions and gaslighting them. One good thing about this practice is that the receptionist was very pleasant and understanding. Perhaps Dr. D'Ortone could learn a thing or two from her.

Then takes the time to explain his course of action. He's not like most doctors today who just just treat the problem. He tries to find out the cause of the problem & works from there on a treatment. I just got my orthotics today, he works w/u until your orthotics are perfect for you. I even took my son to him bc his feet were bothering him. He knew exactly what was wrong & helped him. Dr haluska told me that he doesn't get a lot of kids as patients but he should. It would save kids lots of problems w/their feet in the future if they were treated properly when young. I highly recommend dr haluska. I've suffered from plantar fasciitis for years, this is the first real relief I had in a long time.

I entered the side entrance which a sign at the front of the house/business will direct you. Nevertheless when I entered there was another patient in the small five seat waiting room. So come alone since space is limited. There was no receptionist in the area patients are expected to sign in so no welcome or greeting ever occurred. Hmmmm. That's unprofessional to never come out to tell the patients you'll be with us shortly. I have another appointment at 10:30 & this untimeliness I am witnessing and experiencing concerns me. It 9:11 am and still no person has come out to greet the now four patients. I'm assuming his is a norm and I should just be patient. I'm thinking this is a very personal doctor as I can hear him consult another patient. I hope so because I want the same treatment once my appointment is acknowledged. Doctor Goldstein could sense my anxiety over having to have my toe numbed and he offered me a stress ball and kept my mind off of it with conversation. Been a patient for a few years and Doctor Diamond's practice is a bit different from most…read morepodiatrists--I know, I've been to quite a few. First, he's a huge fan of treating foot problems without surgery. This is a Good Thing, because operations on the foot can cause all sorts of complications! Second, unlike most podiatrists, if you get orthotics, he doesn't just hand you a pair and send you on your way--if you continue to have problems, he'll have you back in a week or two and see about making adjustments. For me, this was crucial. Third, unlike most doctors, it's not just him treating you. He has a common area and a small army of nurses who help with treatment as well. This reduces the wait time for an appointment. Most of my appointments take less than an hour from entering the office to leaving it. A more specific story about non-surgical treatment--many years ago I had a morton's neuroma (pinched nerve) in my foot which was resolved. But about 2 months ago, it came back! I set up an appointment with Dr. Diamond, and because it was not too severe, he was able to treat it with acupuncture. After 3 sessions over the last two weeks, I am feeling much better and no longer walking with a limp! 6/5 stars.
