Best oral surgeon for wisdom teeth extractions! I highly recommend this place and surgeon to anyone…read moreneeded or getting their wisdom teeth extracted. The first time I came to AO&MS, was for a consultation. I met with the dental assistances for x-rays and information regarding: insurance, medical history, medications, previous complications, etc. Dr. Macholl came in afterwards and talked to me about what he would be doing during the surgery, what I should and shouldn't do before the surgery side-effects after surgery, medications (pills to take before and after the procedure and IV sedation medications), and answered any questions I needed to ask. After meeting with Dr. Macholl, I was met by a woman who talked to me about the approximate total payment of the surgery and my next appointment time. Day of Surgery- (Before) Dr. Macholl and his staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were telling me the step-by-step process of what they were doing and explaining what everything was and what it was going to do. Dr. Macholl had four emergency medications on hand in case an allergic reaction had occurred from all the medications. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and safe. (After) Fast-forward after the procedure. I felt very sleepy. I awoke with ice packs wrapped around my head. Dr. Macholl's staff were very cautious and helpful of helping me to my car. Overall, this business is very professional and comforting. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, they are there to help you! :D

The office staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Dr. Parmer is amazing and attentive. He took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions. Their service literally had me looking for any additional oral surgery options that I could have them do; it was that good. I will absolutely use them for any future oral surgery needs as they are the shining example of how healthcare providers should operate.

When she was brought out she was completely in tears and crying they did not even let her stay in a room to come down before taking her out. They did not give her pain meds or anitbiotics claiming that a shot she was given during her surgery would numb the pain for 3-4 days Which it did not She went back for a revisit about 5 days later after Begging them to see her because a Tooth site was bothering her doctor green came in and 1 did not wash his hands nor put on gloves and opened her mouth and poked the one socket that was completely healthy but he also snapped at her grandma then told them that all 4 sockets where infected after this revisit he gave her antibiotics She went to a actual professional oral surgeon who told them that all four were not infected and the site that he did jam his nasty finger in has now become a dry socket they also said all 4 where in the proper stages of healing when he jammed his finger in there and pushed out the healing tissue and that they had never heard of the shot that they used that I mentioned in the beginning

I wanted some type of meds so I would not know what was going on and feel no pain so he was going to do an IV. I said I am hard to get a vein, like almost impossible but he insisted saying he done this and knows what he is doing that there would be no problem, unfortunately I trusted him. I went in for the procedure and they were so very nice, up till a certain point. I was in the chair and he was trying to get an IV started, one arm, then the next arm then in both hands, nothing but pain, he could not get a vein just like I told him would happen... then he tried to put the IV in my foot and I hollered just to stop, I did not want to do this anymore.. He literally got mad at me and told his assistants to go ahead and break down, which they immediately did. At that time I thought I was alone and was left in the chair. I was 65 at this time, and overweight so could barely get out of the chair alone. after struggling for a while I was able to lift myself up and turned around to my surprised Green had been standing behind me the entire time, just watching with his arms crossed, struggling to get out of the chair, and all he could say was, "you still owe me $300.00... Humiliated, I got up and left the room, went to waiting room where my husband was waiting on me at and just started crying, told him what had happened and the receptionist heard me tell my husband he tried to insert the IV in my foot... she said that is not true he would not do that, the nurse behind her turned and said, "yes he did I was there". I paid my $300.00 and I left. I would not take my grand daughters Cabbage Patch Kid to this guy.

GO TO ANOTHER ORAL SURGEON!…read more Unfortunately, my experience with The Wisdom Teeth Guys was very disappointing. First, their quote for my wisdom tooth removal was higher than other oral surgeons I contacted, even with insurance, which was surprising. On top of that, they required me to go through extra steps, including getting a medical release from my doctor before they would even proceed. That ended up being unnecessary based on what other oral surgeons told me later. The day of my appointment was even more frustrating. My appointment was scheduled for 7:45 AM. I arrived about 5 minutes early, checked in, and waited in the lobby. Two other patients who arrived after me with 8:00 AM appointments were taken back before me. After sitting there for about 30 minutes with no explanation, I decided to leave at 8:15 AM. Around 10:00 AM, the office called asking if I needed to reschedule. I explained exactly what happened. They said they would research the situation and call me back, but I never heard from them again. This definitely felt like a "doc in the box" type of dental operation. Their phone is answered by a call center rather than the local office, which made communication frustrating. It was also confusing trying to find the location because the actual sign on the building says "Hometown Dental," not The Wisdom Teeth Guys. In the end, I went to another oral surgeon who quoted me $150 less, got me in the same day for a consultation, and had my tooth removed two days later. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, overpriced, and lacking follow-up. I would recommend checking other oral surgeons before choosing this office.

I got there after booking a week in advance a little precaution about the 200 cancellation fee lol but I was all in! I'm getting these babies taken out and hopefully and prayerfully it's pain free. When I arrived the receptionist and nurse is in the lobby. The nurse escorts patients out to their cars in a wheelchair and they look fine and barely sedated she eases my concern about that and reinstates the post process. She wasn't rush but cared about my slight paranoia of everyone seemingly so alert after the process. The receptionist explains the upcoming final X-ray and final new patient forms and lets me know it will be a minute before the first steps. Everyone was kind and familiar with the process. After the beginning steps I was brought back once more with my driver to meet the guy who admins the IV for sedation, more support nurses, and the actual doctor doing the extraction! Everyone again was super sweet and attentive to my concerns and made it easy and personalized. The procedure for all 4 wisdom teeth was about 15 minutes and I don't remember a thing! Praise God! I'm home now 13 hours after the procedure and I'm feeling fine today after following the instructions given. I did bleed for several hours after cause I was not really biting down on the gauze but that's totally my fault. After calling in and getting additional quality help I bit down strongly on the gauze for another 30-45 minutes and the bleeding was under control enough to eat ice cream and take my medicine. I would strongly recommend these GUYS! I went an hour out my way to Fort Worth because I wanted the next available appointment and it was totally worth it. My tongue and lips are slightly still numb but I'm confident I'll have all the feeling back by tomorrow or the next. Ultimately I am happy with the decision I made to go to The Wisdom Guys! Thank you to all the staff! Keep providing excellent service.
