I've been a patient of Dr. Farrell's since 1999. He removed my tonsils way back then and then I was diagnosed with Meniere's Syndrome. I still see him to this day on a regular basis and he's the greatest. He always listens to what you have to say, acknowledges what you've stated and knows how to handle one's situation. Even when I had Covid-19 in April of 2020 He and his team were accessible by phone and extremely helpful given my situation at the time. He's the best! read more

UPDATE FROM MY REVIEW BELOW. After no call back some 5 days later a new medication arrived at my pharmacist without notice. No instructions to discontinue the current one and start this new med, NOTHING! I called the office again and no help. They would not even consult the Doctor and call me back. With regards to Dr. Farrell, I fully agree with the Johnathan R.'s review, though I saw Dr. Farrell at his Imperial Point location at 1065 N. Federal Highway (102-104). I've never been to Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) or as Dr. would more properly designated, an Otolaryngologist, previously. But, then enduring the first ear infection of my life and upon the insistence of my primary treating physician, I begrudgingly made an appointment which I kept. He took one look at me, simply said you're in good shape....didn't even use that usual downer of a qualifier: "For Your Age," just said I'd be fine with treatment within a couple of days or fine without any treatment within a couple of days; hence the best option would be to do nothing. Low and behold within a couple of days I was indeed fine; fully recovered. What I liked was his simple, concise diagnosis and prognosis, not over complicating things, not using any big words and dealing with me, not on his level of medical knowledge, but on my level which insured that I understood. read more

RUDE AND LAZY FRONT DESK STAFF. I also agree with previous comments about Dr. Farrell not knowing what to do. I already had my diagnosis through lab results and took them with me. It was a bacterial infection in my ear. He looked at the 3 different medications that my GP had tried me on and said they "should have worked", and that he needed to "think about this". A week later one of the office girls called and said the Doctor had phoned through a new prescription for me to try. I thought great! When I picked it up it was one that I had already tried weeks earlier and didn't work. I called back and asked if she could check with the Doctor to make sure he knew that I had already tried that medication. She refused. After a bit of back and forth and me asking "are you just refusing to ask a 5 second question to the Doctor and call me back?" I didn't want to start the med until I was sure. She rudely and reluctantly snapped that she would ask and call me back. Three days later I am still waiting for that call. I will now seek medical attention elsewhere. The office staff are very professional and fun. I had a 10:30 appointment and was taken in at 9:45 (arrived early to complete paperwork). He's a well experienced otoralyngologist. He removed a mass I had in my jaw. Procidure was done in broward Hospital. All was good. He and his team at his office and hospital are great. He operated me at 8:00 am and I was in my home at 1:00 pm. It was just because I wanted. He said I'm his first patient in decades that don't stay at the hospital overnight for that procidure. ;-) I'm on my follow up time and I'm getting all my sensitivity back as he said it was gonna happen. He's kind, respectful and very professional. Very old school. He's always in a good mood. And a little story always comes out during the visit. I was referred to him by my primary Dr. and I'm very happy. His office is at Imperial Point Hospital (side building) with free parking. It's in the first floor and there's no need to take an elevator or use stairs. read more

Dr. Farrell is great! He's super funny and has a wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend him to anyone with tonsil issues. I had a tonsillectomy done with Dr. Farrell at Imperial Point Hospital 13 days ago. I kept getting strep throat, so Dr. Farrell recommended the removal of my tonsils. Dr. Farrell was so nice, caring and knowledgeable. I was very impressed by his credentials (I believe he was Chief of Surgery at Broward Health, he did his residency at the Mayo Clinic, and so much more!). For my tonsillectomy he used sutures, which was a method I hadn't seen in the hundreds of message board posts I had read before the surgery. I experienced very little pain during recovery which was the opposite of what I read on the message boards, so I'm gonna chalk that up to Dr. Farrell stitching up the wounds instead of leaving them open. According to most literature I read before the surgery tonsillectomies for adults are excruciatingly painful, this was not the case for me (I'm 26). Dr. Farrell also has you stay overnight at the hospital for observation which most doctors don't require. He does this for the safety and well being of the patient. At first I was pissed that I would have to spend the night at the hospital, but it ended up being a blessing! The nurses were very helpful and were always there whenever I needed more pain meds. Dr. Farrell saw me for surgery follow up 6 days after, and he told me everything looked great. I'm very grateful that Dr. Farrell was recommended to me by my regular doctor :). read more

He helped me once again with my muffled ear and discovered that the urgent care's terrible treatment had led me to an ear infection from the nurse trying to flush ear wax out of my ear she made it worse. Waited a week after office visit just to get a call saying I should go back to my past doctor. Complete waste of time.

If you are looking for a great doctor, very knowledgeable, pleasant, caring, and a gentleman, I recommend Dr Farrell wholeheartedly. His staff is also friendly and Courteous. My only regret is, I wish he could also be my anytime Dr. Not just a Specific illness. I was unable to hear for several weeks and came out of his office In no time, able to hear again. This is really difficult because I liked Dr. Farrell. The problem is that I went in there presenting a swollen lymph node that wouldnt disappear for 4 weeks even after antibiotics. So I went the first time and then made an appointment for a biopsy. He confirmed that it was stage IV cancer, when he went on he told me the diagnosis from the lab said it was squamous cell carcinoma with basiloid feature. When I asked him what basiloid features were he said he didnt know. I was very surprised since he has been around so long. I was further surprised when he didnt offer to find out what it was. I then wrote an email to him and it was never answered. I am highly disappointed read more

Gosh, Dr. Farrell was such a sweet man, so much so that I couldn't help but get a wee bit teary-eyed when he was speaking to me, which is something that has never happened to me just by being in someone's presence. Dr. Farrell's walls were adorned with all kinds of achievements & credentials (he completed his five year residency at the Mayo Clinic & was Chief of Staff at Broward). He was very punctual, which I don't think I've ever encountered at a doctor's office & his staff was very warm & friendly. Dr. Farrell has been practicing since the 70's I believe so he has been around quite a while & he has a wealth of knowledge & will hopefully continue practicing for years to come. Well perhaps I would be more positive if I did indeed got to see the doctor when I brought my father to his office 5 years ago today. We had an appointment, however due to some problem with insurance and referrals, which was indeed taken care of before our visit, my father was told he could not be seen. We waited 2 hours plus while the confusion was trying to be worked out but we were still denied access to see the doctor even when my sister and I said we would pay cash to have our father be seen. It has been 5 years exactly today since we attempted to have Dad see the doctor. He was congested but we had no inclination he was as sick as he was. We took Dad home disenhearteded and he died 12 hours later. Seems the office staff was more concerned that they could loose their contract with an insurer if they saw him without the authorization that thought they didn't have. Instead my father lost his life. read more

Dr Farrell is by far the best ear nose and throat doctor I have had the privilege of knowing. He is the kind of doctor who not only has an amazing bed side manner but he truly cares about diagnosing your problem without trying to put his patient into bankruptcy. I went to many doctors for my problem and they all wanted to do expensive testing and never really used their background, experience or training to just think outside the box. Dr Farrell figured out my problem and I am cured. It just took some common sense and experience in his field to determine what was wrong AND he did that without trying to charge me for unnecessary and expensive tests. There are not enough words to describe what an amazing doctor he is and how sad that he is one in a million but hopefully not a dying breed in the field of medicine. There are few doctors that rise to the level that he reaches not only with his patients but his office staff are also amazing and it clearly shows what a great guy he must be to work for as well. read more
