After being with a well known podiatrist in the desert for many years, I decided to get a second opinion for my painful fallen arch due to continued pain. Unlike my regular doctor who has become too busy, and the front desk which is not well run, Dr. Phillips was found to be personable, listened with patience and far better explained the pain issues. He recommended a different type of orthotic (OTC) versus the $500 custom and uncomfortable orthotic made by previous doctor. I called late in the afternoon and explained my situation and how another podiatrist actually made it worse a couple days ago and he made it a point to get me in the very next day. There isn't enough room or stars on this page for all my comments. A few years ago (2012) a Dr friend of mine recommended Dr Phillips as I was suffering from planters fasciitis. Since that first day on I have been treated like family from the reception desk, nurse and Dr! It's rare in today's times to have a Dr spend time listening and explaining your health issues. Best in the West! I had to go see Dr. Phillips again recently. About 5 years ago I broke a bone in my foot while bowling, Dr. Phillips set the broken bone and casted my foot. The bone healed perfectly and I was back to the gym in 6 weeks! I recently had foot pain in the other foot and it turned out to be a bone spur between the toes. I couldn't believe how painful it could be and made it impossible to wear my dress shoes. Dr. Phillips removed the spur in the office and saved me a ton of money. He is really knowledgeable, kind and funny. The office staff is nice and really work to get you in and taken care of quickly. Only negative is that the office is really busy and sometimes they run a little late, but the Doc is worth the wait! Highly recommend if you have a foot problem! read more

I actually found Dr. Phillips to be pretty wonderful! He's an old-school doctor meaning great bedside manner and takes plenty of time to explain things and answer questions. On top of that he's got a great sense of humor and you end up leaving smiling with all the information you need for whatever ails you with your feet. I absolutely recommend him but you do you have to deal with the two women in his office who for some reason are on the arrogant spectrum as well as brusque and somehow miraculously condescending. When we asked for them to call in the prescription as I'd had knee replacement, they made it such a big deal and so uncomfortable we ended up just having to drive the hardcopy to the pharmacy and then make an additional trip later.. we were surprised as it is such obviously standard procedure now to call or fax it in but apparently they felt that was too time consuming and stressful for them! Very weird and kind of tainted the experience. I also had to sit and listen to them gossiping about another patient while sitting in the waiting room. Still, he's so great I still recommend him and he was very helpful and on point! read more

I injured my big toe and achilles tendon. I asked for the first available appointment and was given one in weeks. I arrived about 12 min before my appointment and filled out the paper then waited for about 1 hr and still had not been seen. I was obvious from what another patient said in the waiting room that they were an old patient and was sliced in at my time. So if you have a substantial injury and need to be seen soon don't go to Dr Phillips because as a new patient you will be seen dead last. read more

Wow am I impressed. I called Dr. Phillips after a pickleball injury. I thought for sure I had a fracture and would be sidelined for 6 weeks in a boot. I called the office to see if I could get in for an X-ray. The very sweet receptionist said they are booked out for 6 weeks but took my number down in case they have any cancellations. She also gave me the number of two competitors. 4 hours later she called me back and had a last minute cancellation. I was there 25 minutes later and was warmly greeted by her and a very nice nurse. Had to wait 5 minutes max before Dr Phillips came in. He was very personal and professional. Took a quick X-ray right there in the office and ruled out a fracture. It was metatarsalgia. He gave me a cortisone shot, made me a split and told me where I could find good inserts online. He also trimmed up my nasty dead toe nail for me. I was back on the pickleball court the next day. (Against doctors orders) I would highly recommend this incredible practice to anyone. Thank you!!! read more

I am a regular because I find Dr Phillips and his staff caring, welcoming and the podiatric care is top-notch. Some complain about the wait time. Dr Phillips has no control over how long any patient visit will take. If a person ahead of you has severe complicated problem, he will take the time necessary to do the best for that person and you will have his attention when he gets to you. Be understanding. Some folks need him just to be able to walk. Although my feet are problem free, at age 80, I take care of them since they have served me well. And so does Dr Phillips. This is the way most professionals used to take care of patients and thankfully we still have a professional who is giving that same service his father gave before him (and his son will join him some day after training is complete). My wife and I look forward to seeing him and his taking such good care of us both for all the years to come. read more

By far the best experience I've ever had from a medical office not only is the staff super friendly and accommodating but Connie made me feel as though I was being treated by my own mother. I see a lot of people complaining about wait times and Wait time is irrelevant to me when it comes to doctors offices because no doctors office is ever exactly on time; however, Once the wait was over and Dr. Phillips was available. he not only addressed my concerns but treated my sever pain from an ingrown nail. Arrived a few minutes b/4 my scheduled appmnt. Signed in and sat in the waiting room No-one from this office phoned me before I left my house to advise me the dr was running VERY late. Upon my arrival the receptionist didn't advise me he was running one hour late. I was ignored while sitting in the waiting room with no updates as to why I was waiting so long. I was eventually moved to an exam room. After precisely one hour from my scheduled appmnt I walked out of his office without being seen by the doctor. Been there before and waited too long then too, but not as long as I did this time. I will NEVER return. Dr. Phillips is a good doctor and very personable but his lack of concern of his patients time is unforgivable. I had recently recommended him to others but I have already phoned them telling them to find another doctor. This lack of concern for patients time is an issue that starts at the top and filters down to the personnel. They should all be better trained. read more

When I first came to see him I had a foot injury that had progressed and not yet been accurately diagnosed. He was able to give me an accurate diagnosis. It is because of his knowledge and expertise that I was able to properly heal. If it wasn't for him, I likely would have gotten much worse! Dr. Phillips and his staff are amazing. My 90 year old mother had been misdiagnosed at the Eisenhower ER and subsequent staff. She could not get out of bed and was in extreme pain to where I had to come to town and find a solution. I called Dr. Phillips office, explained the situation and they had her set up very quickly. He assessed the situation and found the problem (gout) immediately and treated. She is already feeling better 1-2 days later. If you in a hurry to get in, forget it. I have been dealing with a painful condition on my foot and when I arrived here I was hoping he could help me. He took weeks to look at the MRI, when I arrived for follow up appt after having MRI he didn't even have a copy of it!! Fortunately I did in my purse { I swung my Medical Imaging to pick up copy} he did not do X-ray pre MRI. Told me he needed to chat with Radiologist who did MRI so I waited 2 more weeks and still no call. After a month I called and he said he had not chatted with him yet. Obviously he was not interested in my condition and I wish he would have told me so I could continue on to another doctor. You have to look past the front desk, I can't imagine what it would be like working there, the office looks like you walked into the 50's with a signed thank you letter from Eisenhower on the wall!! I was very satisfied with my visit which not only was relieving, but also a delicious surprise when Dr. Phillips offered me two slices of pizza! When I entered the office, it was hot as heck. So wear your swimsuit if you go. Aside from that, I had to wait for the Queen Bee to finish her non-business conversation with a patient to get an acknowledgement that I existed. She handed me the paperwork to fill out, and that was about as great as the visit got - a couple of easy forms to fill out, no HIPPA form to read or sign, no indepth questionnaire on anything. There was one form that I had to sign stating that the doctor will charge $25 to any patient who doesn't show up for the appointment (which is beyond me how he does that if they don't ask for a credit card when making the appt.) After returning the paperwork, I asked if the doctor was running on time. The lady's response was, "Pretty much." Which of course translates into, "No, but I'm not going to be honest with you." I then waited 20 minutes after my appt. time until I was called for the Empty Room Wait. I asked the woman before getting out of my lobby seat how long I'd be waiting in the room. She responded with, "10-15 minutes." So I added up the total time the doctor would be late and wasting my time and decided that 30 minutes demonstrated poor time management skills on his part. (I realize things happen during the day, but when you're lied to by the receptionist and then threatened with a fee that WE should be charging HIM, it shows poor doctorship on his part.) I told the woman to have him send ME $25 and I left. Not recommended (tho if you need to sit in a steam room, you could get the same result here for free). read more

Lucky me. I was in a lot of foot pain, was painful for me to walk. I picked Dr Phillips only because he was the closest podiatrist to me and could get me an appointment within a few days. I'm not one to wait longer than 1/2 hour when I have an appointment. I find it very disrespectful to the patient... basically saying that my time is more valuable than yours. After listening to their very polite staff as to why the doctor was backed up I was ready to walk out. My husband made me wait telling me I had to have my foot looked at. SO LUCKY for me that I waited. The doctor is like the old fashion doctors...the kind that really care about his patients, loving, caring and professional. You are not just another ticket, another dollar to this doctor. He cares. He diagnosed and fixed my foot that day right in his office. I walked out of there after months of limping, pain free and NOT limping. I was so stunned, amazed, relieved and happy to know I didn't have nerve damage and that my problem was repairable. Dr. Phillips was my third attempt to see a podiatrist and get my foot problem solved. The first one diagnosed me incorrectly with arthritis, and the second just wanted to sell me orthotics. Neither did x-rays. Dr. Philips x-rayed my foot, correctly diagnosed me with gout, gave me a shot, prescribed two oral meds, and the next day I could get back on my bike the next day! I also now know I can take one of the meds when I feel this coming on, and prevent the worse of it. Dr. Phillip is a knowledgeable professional and I highly recommend him. read more
