From the moment you check in to you check out, everyone is so caring, and understanding. The friendliness and vibe in this office is nothing but positive energy. Dr. Runkle was beyond understanding, he explained everything to me, and gave me my opinions, he explained that no matter if I had the procedure done that day or in a month it was need to be done. When I expressed concern about getting shots in my toes he reassured me I wouldn't feel anything, and I didnt. The procedure took about 10 minutes and I was out the door. At the end of 7 months I saw him for a routine checkup telling him I still couldn't wear a shoe, it burns, stings, & keeps me up a night throbbing, It was red & very swollen. He said that it was fine & just part of the process. Getting a second opinion was the best thing I ever did. ONe week later I saw another podiatrist that had to remove my nail again & it was very infected with a lot of pus coming out of the hole from the so called hematoma. A biopsy of this area that was there from DAY 1 was done & came back Staph infection & a Granuloma. One week out with my NEW DOCTOR I am wonderful pain free & even wearing a shoe!! I cannot believe the difference of the 2 drs. I feel Dr. Runkle treated me as a cry baby & ignored everything I was telling him. I was told I was put on the wrong antibiotic from the get go & that being the reason for the infection. How sad is that. & new dr also could not believe a biopsy was not done of the area of where the hematoma was. Thank GOD I got a second opinion & got my life & toe back :)))))
