After some minor paint damage happened to my car, I took it to Dacus for an estimate. After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.

So to try and shorten up my story, I took my 2025 sierra 2500 to them for repairs when my truck had…read moreonly 3k miles on it... after picking up the truck I found a few interior trim pieces had been damaged, this was unacceptable as my truck was brand new, I dealt with a gentleman who was very helpful He ordered new parts but some were on backorder. He told me he would keep in touch with me.After going back and forth for almost a year. I finally was able to bring my truck back in. In the time I was waiting on parts, the paint repairs that they did was flaking off. They repainted the parts. after picking up my truck three days after I was told, I would be able to pick it up. I noticed my park sensors were not working and I had new rattles inside my truck. I got back in contact with them and I told them the issues, they asked me to bring my truck back up, but unfortunately, I do not have time to keep taking my truck up there for repairs that should've been done in the first place. I started addressing the issues myself and found all kinds of hidden mistakes, just to name an example of one the rear seat bolts are missing leaving me with trying to track down new hardware. So for anyone who needs repair repairs done I would completely avoid Caliber Collision.
