Oliver and his guys do pretty good work but the communication over schedule and money was really bad and unprofessional and I was constantly catching little mistakes in the work and having to ask for them to be addressed. I was out of town when the project began. I returned to find a house that had received two coats but obviously needed a third. Oliver quickly agreed and later, after many delays and drama, did the third coat as well as other aspects of the project that he had left unfinished. When he and I discussed this part of the project and I asked why he hadn't applied the third coat without me asking for it when it was obvious to his expert eye that it was necessary, he told me that he doesn't speak up when he notices things like that. He said that he waits to see if the client complains about it so he doesn't have to do unnecessary extra work. This told me all I needed to know about his work ethic. I will not be using Midwest Painting again.

Contracted Chris and his crew to update an older home that needed work. He was responsive and…read morepolite, answering questions and very upbeat. His work offer was well written and similar cost to others. I decided to go with him after reading some reviews on his page. I am sad to report that after delay of the project, then asking for money because of said delay, then saying the home was ready when the projects weren't complete I took possession of the home and paid in full as we were in a time schedule. Following is a list of things that I found very unsatisfying: The floor was refinished but there are spots that have streaks and places that look like they were stained. The paint job they did in the main house area was not doe. Well, looked like maybe only primer was used? Also the window sills, where the blinds came off, etc, were not painted or holes filled in. The paint job in the basement was half done. I had to ask to have the heat/air ducts painted. Then not all were done. The electrical in pretty much the entire house was not wired correctly. I had to hire someone else to get the fans working properly, the lights to work with correct switches, etc. The washer was not hooked up and the dryer gas was off. The dishwasher was wired and hooked incorrectly. Was missing the kick plate and was crooked. I had to have a new person reinstall. They forgot the new bathroom fans but after requesting these they were installed, very small and the paint was never touched up or made right around them. There were greasy marks in new paint job, splashes in walls of idk what and the paint we smashed for (high quality washable paint) was not used. The locks installed were not installed correctly, and one had been taken over by the owner and we had to buy a new one (expensive!) I can't recommend this company.
