ZERO STARS: So the bride & I wanted to see what this place was about. To our amazement it was nothing short of beautiful on the surface. Breath taking. First sign that we knew something was off? We walked in for a tour, one of the lease representatives asked a coworker in front of us if they can do them the favor and they got shot down (with attitude from what I remember). So we waited & Ray took us. We loved the apartment, but that's when we notice the little fees started to pile up when we asked Ray (possibly the 'best' on out of all of them) about what we should expect on a monthly basis. We came back some time later because we were unsure. Once my wife and I agreed to take the apartment it all went downhill. We paid the security deposit and application fees (about $475 all together). We were told that we would get an email very soon saying we were approved along with a congratulatory email with perhaps the info of moving; soon they said, like 3 to 5 days soon. Two weeks past and nothing. I called for Ray and he wasn't available. Nobody in the office would cover his work which makes sense why no one else gave us the tour. They had an intern there and when I spoke to her she would give me false information to the point that I pressed her on it and I'm not even confrontational. What was supposed to take 3 to 5 days, became more like 3 weeks. I told Ray (after I finally spoke to him) that I no longer wanted the apartment and wanted my money back. Here's where it gets funny. I was told I couldn't get my money back because when I signed the paper work at first, it said I only had about 3 days to pull out. I told him and whoever was above him that if I didn't get my money I was taking them to court. I got all of it minus $75. Later on reading other people's stuff I realized all that beauty in the apartments was only a mirage. Their appliances and stuff are all cheap and flaky, you're paying for garbage. Even though my experience dealing with Ray wasn't the greatest, he was the most professional and helpful. I can't be mad at him. I really want businesses to thrive, & I'm not interested in writing a negative review out of spite or hate, but my experience was so bad here I can't let this one go. I never write reviews but this review I hope will help someone out. As anyone else searching for a place to live I looked at the reviews prior to signing my lease. Before signing me lease, I noted several people saying they experienced scandalous excessive move out charges. Unfortunately, I was a victim of receiving a bill of over $1k in the mail for an apartment that was left cleaner than when I moved in. It's true robbery! After trying to rectify the situation I was tossed between their lawyers, property manager, regional manager, etc. Summary of charges: -They tried to charge me for a full replace of a stove that was broken from the time I moved in. Thankfully i kept the work order and email proof to get that charge removed -They charged me $180 for turning the key in a day before my lease was up. But yet I paid for my full months rent...after disputing they agreed to take $60 off of the total (SAD!) -They charged me full repaint of an apartment that had normal wear and tear -- no proof shared but yet I shared picture footage of the apt myself -Come to find out after move out their is a standard cleaning fee and carpet cleaning fee It's a shame that I couldn't even get in touch with someone that could make an accommodation on these false charges and they try to communicate via email. Good luck if you chose this place! This was my third luxury apartment and I've never been charged these outrageous prices. I've never written a review before, but I want to save anyone from going through what we did. I've lived in nyc ct and many other places. This is by far the most unethical, deceiving, and non transparent place I've ever lived. DO NOT LIVE HERE! The management is a bunch of crooks. They will ROB you when you go to resign your lease, and if you move out they won't give your security deposit back. They charge you for every little thing even if you leave your place in mint condition. We only lived there for a year and left our place better than when we moved in, and somehow still owned them money. They tried to fuck us in every way, and I've heard this from many others who previously lived in this building. We brought them to small claims court, won, and they've yet to pay us. Do not believe a word these people say and avoid this building!!!! read more

Trust me when I say RUN!!! Beautiful community and it stops right there. Besides the change in management 3times during my year lease, the move out charges are absolutely horrible. Read many reviews where previous residents accused the property of false charges and sad to say they were all correct. Be sure at the end of your lease to have pictures and video taken of unit as well as any work orders put in. I would say find yourself a great lawyer and if you have any media connections, get them lined up if you want any chance at disputing any charges. P.s turn your key in the last day of lease!!! Boyyyyy they charge you for turning them in a day early roughly $125. Might as well lost the key. First time in my 32 years of life leaving a review. Hopefully this helps someone. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE! We have lived here for less than 2 years and the water bill has tripled in that time. It's now $95 for a one bedroom. Water and sewer bills are public records and it's clear how much they are ripping us of by. Management rarely responds to any problems that are had. The people in the unit above us let their dog go to the bathroom on their balcony, and it would all drip down to ours. Management said they couldn't do anything about it and we just had to deal with it until they moved. The appliances are of the lowest quality. We had to have the air conditioner, dryer, stove, dishwasher, and microwave all repaired since moving in. We are the first people in the unit so it's not that they were even old. You do not get even close to your money's worth here. Edgewood Properties is an unethical and greedy corporation. I don't recommend living in any of their buildings. read more

Do not rent here, there staff is very rude to guest. The price of the apartments is not worth what they look like inside. They constantly "change the rules" without sending any notice out. I've also seen them favor certain tenants. Anyone of color I would urge you to look somewhere to spend your money. There are two new apartment building coming right across the street from here. They get zero stars from me Especially after a very rude and disrespectful encounter that happen with my mother and one of their staff members. DO NOT RENT HERE. DO NOT live here. This is the worst building in NJ and the management is horrible. There are sooo many reasons why and I have listed them below. In addition, there are way nicer buildings in the area, with better management and amenities that you will enjoy a lot more. Take your time and find a better building!! 1) First, the positive reviews are FAKE - They are paying tenants to write them. The real reviews speak for themselves, you will find them everywhere online. 2) As everyone has stated, you will lose your security deposit and can be charged ridiculous fees on moving out. Our apartment was spotless and I was still stuck with false and made-up charges, cleaning fees, etc. - They tried to charge me way over my initial security deposit, threatened me with lawyers, etc. 2) They make up crazy rules and if you do not follow them, they will threaten to charge or sue you (I.e. only certain things are allowed on your patio, they do not want you in the courtyard after 9 PM, etc etc etc) 3) Garage gate is always broken 4) My car has gotten hit multiple times and no action was ever taken. 5) Dog feces everywhere, entire floor smells like marijuana 6) The building is built so poorly that you can hear all your neighbors from every side, it is extremely loud, there is no privacy and you can hear everything all night 7) Apartment rent increase $500 per month, amenities increase 25% per year 8) Management does not care about you; they will not help you at all 9) There are way nicer buildings to live in, better management and relationships, benefits and amenities can all be found elsewhere read more

We've lived here for almost two years. The best part is by far the front desk staff, Tara & Nermeen. They work extremely hard to make sure the residents and facilities are taken care of and the mail is always organized. On Sundays they put out a beautiful breakfast spread and over the holidays they coordinate really cute activities and giveaways. read more

This place is loaded with bugs - they have had to send an exterminator 4 times to get rid of an ongoing issue. Do not move here - they do not provide a lease buyout as most management companies do . They will also charge you for "wear and tear" when you move out . Beware they will send you a big bill - even if you scrub your kitchens and bathrooms and have a profesional cleaner they will still charge you a cleaning fee of over 200 dollars per kitchen and bathroom . The walls here are also so thin that you can hear your neighbors toilet flushing - I would not recommend to anyone it is a nightmare here read more

If I could give this building a 0 star I would. Kensington stole our security deposit and would not respond to us after they told us at our move out walkthrough we would get our security deposit. We are now taking them to court to get it back. Our apartment was left in better condition than we got it! We cleaned the carpets got a cleaning and painted the walls. They are still trying to charge us. If you decide to move in here just know it was the worst decision we ever made. It's a fake luxury building. They are horribly mismanaged and it's really not a good apartment building. You can hear all your neighbors. They promised us a 500 dollar move in credit and did not give it to us. The fobs were constantly broken. The gate to get into the building was also broken a lot and we've gotten locked out of the building multiple times due to that. Once we were locked out for over an hour. I would not recommend this building to anyone. I have rented last year one of the UNITS 3228 in this community. Let me tell you this , living in this unit was a nightmare. 1. Only one person could take a shower at the time, the hot water would run out so quickly. I called multiple time for fix and later on i found out that the unit that i lived in had a defect. 2. My bedroom heater would blow a cold wind at night. it was sooooooo cold and when i complained they said that the can not do anything about it, it is built like this. 3. The highway noise was soooooooooooooo loud that you could not sleep at night. I was exhausted for infomania in this apartment. 4. At the time of coronavirus i delayed the rent for one month, during this month i was harassed by management , they kept sending me multiple emails and threaten me for eviction. when i showed the law that you cant evict anyone for coronavirus and they backed off. of course the next month i paid everything 5. 1 week before my move out date i hired a contractor and fixed all the issues and paint the apartment. I have a video recording of how clean and nice was the apartment before i moved out. 6. Now i have received a penalty from their legal team for the amount of 1300$ this has been 5 moths i keep sending them an emails to get a prove and invoice and they are not responding to any of my messages. please!!!!!! stay away from this people!!!!! They do not cooperate nor provide you the detail. Gooooooood the water bill and sewer its close to 100! this people are clearly ripping people off. Been living here for 1.5 years and need to renew lease out of necessity. But haven't had a great experience at all. Management is pretty unresponsive (though this has improved a great deal since Sangeeta joined the team). The cleaning services do not actually clean - hallways are left dirty for weeks and even after requesting they are vacuumed it is not done; tiles and elevators have spills that are not cleaned for days; etc. Amenities are not always available (i.e. the pool was not open the majority of the summer even after regulations allowed for this given Covid). There is dog poop on the grass all the time. The dog park area has dog poop left over all the time. Overall, I feel that what we pay does not reflect the quality of what we are getting in return. read more

The absolute worst place I have ever lived!!!! The apartments are built with cheap materials but we are charged "luxury" rent. I can hear every footstep my upstairs neighbor takes, the constant running back and forth across the floor by their child and loud crashes of only God knows what. We have been making noise complaints since the first day we moved in (lived here for close to one year now). Management is horrible and unresponsive when you are persistent about them taking care of an issue. The staff is constantly changing and there is no real manager here to handle anything.
