don't rely on the map for directions- look them up on the farms website…read more I have to state now, that i am a volunteer for the woodlands farm trust and have been for the last 5 years, so my apologies if this contravenes qypes t's and c's! the woodlands farm trust is a charity run by volunteers, and open to the public. they have quite a lot of animals, mainly sheep and cows. i find this farm extremely well run, and there is always something to do. if you fancy volunteering and getting a little dirty, then go down and give it a try. it's an ideal place for the family, as well as school visits. the woodlands farm trust also has open days, but check the website for further info. its free to get in, but the farm actually relies on donations, so please give genorously!

Staff are enthusiastic and serve you with a smile on their face. Obviously you also get the added satisfaction of knowing your money is going to a good cause too.

They have so many big cats from tigers to lions and they have a great breeding programme in place to keep these amazing animals from becoming extinct. The animals all look happy and the cages that they are kept in are all very spacious and maintained well with many trees, etc for them to play / climb up. This park is not open to public only 3 days in the year on special annual open days. However you can see and experience the park another way and that is by paying to stay at the park in one of their special huts along with a experience be it with a tiger or another of the big cats. The huts that you stay in are all equipped with a kitchen, sitting room, bathroom and bedroom all well equipped and very clean. I went along on a open day and I was not impressed by the open day itself as it was more like a fete selling a lot of tat apart from a few stalls and a falconry show happening but least I got to see the amazinig big cats and hear some great talks on the amazing animals that roam the likes of Africa etc.

They offer delivery on large items through their van drivers, and also do house clearances for people who are getting rid of furniture.

Both shops are well laid out. The clothes are high end prices and a bit too dear for me but the furniture shop is amazing and has so many bargains I can't list them all here but it's easy to pick up a tv for £20, a dishwasher for £50 and a bookcase for under a tenner. The upstairs is not accesible for wheelchair users or anyone who can't climb stairs. The shop can be accessed for the high street or the best bet is to park in Morrisons and walk down the stairs as the car park is behind the shop.

There's a huge stock of books, dvds, videos etc a large mens clothing and shoes area and lots of toys, gifts and bedding etc. The baby clothes are from as little as 20p per item, I've kitted out my wardrobe from this shop. It is so busy and a real community area where people meet and chat and everyone is friendly. All the staff except the manageress are volunteers and it's for a very worthwhile cause. (the cottage hospice has about 14 shops in total)

One of the great things about this shop is that they don't overprice items, recently I have noticed charity shops have been becoming very expensive and sometimes it ends up that you're better off buying something new in a cheap shop such as Primark than a second hand item. This is not the case in here, items are always very fairly priced. Look out for the bargain rail which is usually outside the shop when the weather is good enough - it is filled with items of clothing for 75p which have been in the shop for a set period of time - a sort of a clearance rail!

They offer ante natal groups pro natal groups, toddler groups, assistance with breast feeding, drop in sessions, weigh in sessions, christmas / easter days off, lots of day sessions for children in the Summer involving lots of different activities. The staff also visit your homes for regular checks. I have had also had a speech therapist visit regularly who was also excellent. The effort the staff put into this centre is amazing.

The Maidstone shop is very small, but always has a wide range of lovely second hand clothes, hand bags, bric a brac, books, DVDS, CD's. It also has lots of new bits, which are idea for gifts to people. The shop is always very clean and tidy and the staff are always happy to help you if you are trying to find something inparticular. The store is run by volunteers, who give there time to help this charity.
