The store offers a wide array of the usual Mediterranean and middle eastern food goods, imports, grocery, fresh meat, frozen items, cheeses, labneh, yogurt (Greek style, Lebanese, others), fresh pondered coffee beans, coffee/eat kettles, kitchen ware, pita bread bags, candy, and all the known lovely sweets (baklava, warbaat, katayef, etc). They also sell pre-packaged assorted baklava sweets, as well as imported sweets. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The owner is very friendly and she always tries to accommodate the kitchen needs especially when it comes to fresh meat, poultry, lamb, etc. Cleveland/Akron area has a number of similar stores, but this one serves Tallmedge and Akron area which helps since there are not too many similar stores directly nearby in Tallmedge and south Akron area. If you are in the area and need some quick Mediterranean grocery flair, stop by.

I will say that the snacks on the shelf will sometimes be expired (I once accidentally bought a cookie package whose expiration date was a year past) and you will have to scan produce for mold, but besides some isolated cases I haven't had much experience with food from here having gone bad.

I got into the habit of ordering these specialty items on Amazon, simply out of convenience, but this year I decided I would try instead to support local businesses instead. Rather than running to Amazon when I needed a special spice, I scoured Yelp for local groceries that might have what I was looking for, and I found even more than I hoped to at Patel Brothers! I noticed immediately the store is spare, but clean and very organized. It was very easy to find the items I was looking for, and I was especially pleased to find they had fresh produce as well. I was really excited to find curry leaves here, which is used in a lot of Indian cooking, but I typically have a hard time finding them. At just $1 a bag. I felt like I hit the jackpot! I brought my husband along as well, and he stocked up on the great selection of snacks they had. I was also able to find all the spices I was looking for: Kashmiri chili powder, amchoor powder, and chaat masala. My only dismay was that all the spices are sold in pretty big bags, which I think would be appropriate for a family who uses these spices every day, but it would have been great if they had a bulk option instead so I can get a smaller amount. In any case, we came out with a great haul, and the cashier even offered us a freshly made samosa on our way out, which was delicious. Here's to supporting more local businesses in 2020, and the beauty that ethnic groceries have to offer!

I like that they have most of the things I need from raw material to prepared food. The owners are nice and friendly. I visit this place almost every weekend and always found what I was looking for. I have never had to ask the owners about anything but I am sure they are helpful if you ask them any questions. They also have occasional exhibits of jewelry of Indian origin if anyone is interested. A nice neighborhood grocery store.

The new store is large and neatly organized offering everything from fresh produce to spices, frozen foods, kitchenware, and health & body care items. I'm glad we were able to check out A & A Indo Asian Grocery. ITEMS - They have a standard selection of food to choose from such as rice, frozen food options like naan and paratha, Indian snacks, tea, etc. They even offer fresh food to buy at the check-out counter up front such as hot samosas to take away (to-go). I bought the Aloo Paratha ($3.99) from the frozen foods section, Little Hearts small biscuits ($1.99), Small toffee candy ($1.99), Cardamon Tea ($5.49). I've tried Aloo Paratha many times before so I already knew that I would love it. They sell the Deep brand of Aloo Paratha here and after heating it up over the stove-top, I loved it. Aloo Paratha is a bread filled with potatoes and spices. It's the perfect carb-filled meal to go along with eggs in the morning or it can be eaten as a side dish for lunch or dinner. Absolutely delicious! The toffee sweet (candy) and the little biscuits that I bought were good too. I haven't tried the cardamon tea yet but I gave one packet to my friend and he liked it. However, I did notice that upon getting home, that the tea is made with artificial ingredients so I'm not too happy about that. I was hoping to get a pure/natural tea so I actually will just give the whole tea away. It's unlikely that I will try it which is sad because I love cardamom. If you love Indian food and snacks like myself then you will enjoy visiting this grocery store. It's clean, service is friendly and nice, and options are plentiful.
