Like most men I'm not a flower expert. Wanted a bouquet of flowers for my girlfriend. I only told them my price range and to make it over the top. I picked it up and it was $20 under maximum that I told them(so they didn't just charge me what I said I would pay). I thought the arrangement was nice, but nothing crazy. When my girlfriend saw them though she flipped. She absolutely loved them, and went on to say the names of each flower and how much she loved those types of flowers. She actually thought I had been listening all these years and remembered her favorite flowers....I did not, Kent's just made an amazing arrangement. This place is amazing, no complaints whatsoever! I ordered from Kent's through Teleflora's website (their website offered better formatting options for including a full message on the accompanying card), and Kent's called Teleflora without notifying me that they would not be completing my order. I received no call, no email, no notification at all. Teleflora then decided to complete my order through another unknown florist that I did not approve of. When I called Kent's to ask about my order, they simply said that they cancelled the order and referred to Teleflora as an 'STD'. Why does Kent's use Teleflora's bouquet templates and ordering service if they despise the company? I am deeply disappointed in Kent's terrible service and will never order flowers through them again. read more

The lady I talked to on the phone was most reassuring that the bouquet would be so nice, price was not an object, and I explained how unhappy I was with the last florist I had chosen. Well at least the last florist only ripped me off for $40 bucks, I paid $117 for a scragley piece of .... ugly bouquet, and she even said they had just gotten a shipment of fresh flowers in, hate to think about what the old flowers would have looked like! You can imagine how outraged I was when my colleague texted me a photo of the bouquet, horrible, cheap looking rip-off NOT AT ALL WHAT WE HAD DISCUSSED!! and the worst part is that my colleague had just suffered 2 major surgeries and her mother dying in the last 3 weeks....How embarrassing for me, it should have been so beautiful, as promised. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. We sent my entire family blue balloons to tell them we were expecting a baby boy in July. I live an hour away from Columbia so tried to find a florist that would deliver my brother's balloons. I explained that they may not be home and to please weight them down and leave them on their porch. They explained they weren't responsible for what happened to the balloons with the weather being cold. I said that was fine. No balloons delivered. No phone call received. But don't worry - the money was taken out of my bank account. I called the next day and Kent was incredibly rude and said she couldn't leave them because it was too cold and they are out for delivery. I don't need them delivered today because the surprise is ruined now. I asked for my money back and she said she would be happy to give my money back because she didn't need my business. I'm a business owner myself and would NEVER treat my customer this way. Disgusting! read more

Complete disappointment sums it up. I purchased a $200.00 arrangement for my wife two weeks prior to valentines day. I was very excited to see her reaction. This is where everything takes a turn for the worse. What i purchased and what was delivered were completely different. I searched on Kent's website and determined i was provided with a $60.00 arrangement. I called to inquire about the mix up and explain my concerns. The owner started to argue with me about the cost of flowers etc. With his logic he was still over $100 off, after pointing this out he quickly realized his math was up to par. He explained he would inquire and call me back. 2 days later i receive a message from the owner telling me i received more than i paid for and i should be happy i got anything at all. Being it was valentines day and they were extremely busy. the owner knew he had taken advantage of me and was not concerned with that fact at all. I make it a point to avoid businesses as well as people like this. If you feel like being taken advantage of, by all means Kent's is that place. read more

I ordered flowers for my stepdaughters birthday and specifically ordered lavender roses with a lavender ribbon (straight from their website) because they are her favorite. I also clicked the button indicating NO SUBSTITUTIONS. They delivered hot pink roses with a purple ribbon. When I called them on it, I was told the flowers were technically called Deep Purple, so basically they didn't make a mistake. I sent the photo of the bouquet that I ordered directly from their own website as well as a photo of the bouquet they delivered. The website clearly shows lavender roses and ribbon. The flowers that were delivered were not even in the same ballpark as far as color and did not in any way match the lavender ribbon. Yes, the roses were pretty, but they were NOT AT ALL what I had ordered. Had I been told they did not have the roses that I ordered on their website, I would have used another florist that did have lavender roses. I could understand making the substitution if I had not specifically indicated that I didn't want substitutions when asked on the order form. I indicated that because I was not contacted and told they did not have the roses I ordered, I would expect a big discount if not a full refund. I then received an email saying Kent would pick up the bouquet and refund my money. Seriously? She is a student taking finals about to graduate from college in a couple of weeks. She is basically living in the library while studying and I am supposed to make her stop and schedule a time with them to come pick up the flowers that were delivered to her as a birthday gift? Any other florist I know of would have apologized profusely and offered a discount of some kind yet they did not offer ANY discount. I wish I had read other reviews before spending $87 on this bouquet. They don't appear to be reliable when taking orders online. If you order from Kent's just know that you may or may not get something that looks like what you ordered. And they will make substitutions regardless of what they tell you. I would not encourage anyone to order from this florist, unless of course you don't care what is delivered. I will not be using them again. read more

Super disappointed. Sadly can only give a 3. My son sent flowers for Mothers Day. They not only did not arrive as scheduled, if he had not called to check we would never have even known they were even sent. No call, delivery notice found 7 hours later face down out in the yard...no offer of assistance when I called the next day. Finally just went to get them myself and they were the worse for wear after 2 day delay in delivery truck. The peonies and hydrangeas in my yard and Wal-Mart look nicer. Looked a lovely arrangement had they not been wilty with brown edges and creases. Very disappointed.
