I had a very disappointing experience with this academy. They repeatedly canceled lessons at the last minute, which made it difficult to maintain any consistency or progress. What was even more frustrating was that instead of honoring the original schedule, they keep pushing me to take lessons with other teachers who were not the ones I had signed up for. In March 2026, they cancelled 3 out of 4 classes but only offered to refunded half of monthly tuition. This felt extremely unprofessional and not a great business practice. The manager keeps blaming the teacher/employee who recently left the academy. Clear communication, reliability, and accountability are essential for any educational services, and unfortunately, this academy fell short on all three. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Do NOT join unless you're willing to let your hard earned money waste on an academy who do not care about anything but money. On a side note, I don't want to support a business where they are ready to throw their employees under the bus when things went South. read more

I'm not sure why my other review was taken down... or why all of the students who actually attend classes at KAA have their reviews hidden on this page also. It's interesting that the only review is from someone who does not take classes at the academy. I am an adult piano student at KAA and I am grateful to be working with a teacher who has a doctorate in piano. I feel like I am progressing much faster with my music than I ever was trying to teach myself. The lessons are fairly priced and my only regret is not beginning sooner! read more

Ever since they changed management, this has become the worst place to send your kids for music lessons. We have been with Kentucky arts academy for over 13 years with my kids taking lessons in guitar, and violin. Now lessons are canceled regularly because they can't keep their music teachers. We try to reschedule, but they have no convenient times available . They just let our credits expire. Avoid the headaches, and choose some place else. read more

I hate to say it but I think it's a sad day in America when you try to support local business and they won't accept cash. I try to send them my 8 year old daughter for violin lessons here left a message on Tuesday and they called me back today and told me that it would be okay to come pay cash and that they weren't able to schedule lessons for next month until the last week of the month so I couldn't pay in advance for next month either. I'm not sure what the credit card has to do with this or if this is just poor scheduling in general but it didn't sound like it would have mattered. Needless to say I drove up there and was turned away because I tried to pay cash for two lessons at $180. Can't really say that I would recommend read more
