We'd never stayed at a campground before, so we weren't sure what to expect. We pulled our boat and wanted to be somewhere on the water with an easily accessible marina so we could travel by water. Prizer Point fit the bill. There's so many facets to this place, so I'll break my review up for each: I'm gonna start the review with the one big downside - we ventured out to the bison prairie on our last day and weren't going to make it back in time to check out. We called and were told we couldn't check out late. We were checking out on a Sunday and the place was DEAD all weekend. No way that many people were coming in. Anyway, it was a physical impossibility for us to get back in time. So they informed is it'd be $25/hr for each hour we were late. Mind you it was $100/night for the cabin we stayed in. Gheez. That alone cost them 2 stars. We felt like they were really sticking it to us. The unfortunate part is this stands out in our memory above the otherwise mostly positive experience. Marina - we rented a covered slip to keep our boat in at night so we didn't have to hassle with pulling it out. The slip was clean, new-ish and very well maintained. We stopped at other marinas around the lake and none were as nice as Prizer Point. The restaurant - we ate there twice. Once for dinner, once for breakfast. The food was just okay. The service was horrendous. There were only a handful of other tables each time, but if you needed something you had to go find someone to get it for you. One time I had to go to the marina counter to get a to go box. No server to be found. The cabin - we stayed in a "suite", which is pretty much like a tiny house. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the space met our needs. It was actually quite cozy. It wasn't super clean (dusty window sills, mildewed shower curtain), but...It's a campground. It wasn't gross, but it wasn't a Marriott. I'd say it fit with my expectation, maybe even exceeded it. The property - there was so much to do, we didn't have time to do it over a 3 day weekend, but we boated during the day. It seemed clean, well maintained and everyone (others staying) were so nice. Everyone waved, said hello, etc. There are some beautiful lake views all around the property. I only wish we had more time to explore a little more. All in all, I'd say it met our expectations for a campground. We'll likely return at some point in the future, but will be sure to check out on time. read more

So we loved the overall experience. Kentucky lake is beautiful and Prizer has options for whatever kind of stay you need. Tent sites, RV or Cabins. The entire campground is very clean. The marina is excellently maintained. Everyone around is so friendly. We just had a few hiccups. We booked our reservation the same day around noon so totally understand that it's last minute but we also didn't check in until around 7pm giving them more than enough time to ensure a clean cabin. However they didn't have our reserved cabin cleaned and the one next to it was "clean and ready" but upon getting inside we found tons of dead bugs and mold! Not just in the bathroom but also on the walls at a height where a kiddo or toddler could touch it or be exposed. To me this is unacceptable and a health hazard. We totally understand these are cabins in the woods but there were several empty units amongst us that were unoccupied and I can only hope they aren't dealing with the same level of mold. The only other thing we experienced that was negative was we rented a golf cart for $50 a day for one day but it kept dying even when the battery gauge read as fully operable. We broke down on day one and broke down again on our checkout day and had to leave the cart at another site. I'm hoping Prizer will be accommodating and comp us a future use of one day for the cart issues as I didn't request a refund but also didn't have time to resolve before checkout. The housekeeping manager and all the staff were apologetic and extremely professional which is why we will definitely still give Prizer a chance in the future. So all in all I would be wary of the cabins but everything else seemed well. Next visit we will be booking a bungalow on the water or bring an RV. read more

I planned a weekend for my daughter and friends. Upon arrival, I was told someone had changed my reservation and I did not have a condo available. After waiting an hour, the "manager" said this sort of thing never happens. She preceded to find me a duplex for the night and asked me to pay for it. I told her it wasn't exactly fair that my room was no longer available, and I had to pay for another one. She finally gave me to room for the night which was filthy. If someone could just clean the bird poop or perhaps use a blower to clean up around the cabins, that would make a huge difference. The next day we rented a boat, and the boat stopped working 10 minutes into our trip. We did get a new boat after an hour of waiting. This place does not care about wasting your time or reimbursing you when they are in the wrong. I would never recommend this dirty place to anyone. It is not well managed and nothing is consistent. Such a disappointment with all the money we spent. We were given the run around and no one was apologetic for all the mistakes that happened. read more

We were so pleasantly surprised to find this beautiful campground on our cross country trip! The campsites are very nicely laid out and many include a table & chairs and glider. Most sites have at least a partial view of the lake which is beautiful! We enjoyed riding our bikes through the whole resort. The staff were so friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome! What a gem this place is! Hopefully we can return to Kentucky someday and visit again! read more

So much to do, 2 playgrounds, a marina, boat shop, 2 stores, restaurant, 7 bathhouses (1 in construction) , 2 pools, a game room, 3 Laundromats, golf cart rentals, fishing spots, a waterpark, stage, cornhole boards, a jumping pillow, bike racing track, pizza delivery, outdoor church, basketball court, great staff, and great service! The only reason i gave this place a 4 is because the restaurant service wasn't very good, but overall, the best campground for another 100 Miles! read more

Recently returned from a week around Prizer Point Resort. Was a major disappointment, didn't get the cabin I thought i'd booked. The condo they put us in was filthy with bird poop thick on the railings. Had small children who kept wanting to touch the railings on the deck. Also rented a boat with a slide but got way out in the lake and discovered no ladder. Wasted time going back to get a different boat. They didn't seem to care at all. How incompetent they were. Would never recommend to anyone. Only good thing was the barbecue food truck that came on the weekends. read more

We have been going to Prizer Point KOA for years. We returned this weekend and found the resort to not be a resort at all anymore. They have packed in a whole new section with wall to wall campsites, but not concentrated at all on needed upgrades to the marina, the cabins, the existing campsites, or the grounds. The staff were unprofessional in both appearance and attitude. The cabins were dirty and not ready until almost an hour past check-in time. The bunk beds were unmade and there were not enough sheets to make them. There was extremely poor customer service in resolving issues. The 110V electric plug was not working at our campsite. Do not rent their boats! They will fall apart and potentially leave you stranded for hours like it did us. They may cut you a break, but not the full amount for loss of time. This is a poorly ran system with poorly maintained equipment. It took three weeks to contact management with over 10 phone calls. Yikes... The other marinas sell out for a reason! I honestly don't know why I even gave this place a star. On their website they advertised a water playground so me and my sisters drove AN HOUR to go try it. My older sisters are 18 & 16 so we had a legal adult with us. After being ignored for almost 30 minutes we went to the lagoon office, where we were sent back to the office that we had previously been. Finally the person up there with a questionable gender got off of the phone and told us that it didn't matter if we had a legal adult with us or not that we had to have a parent sign for us. Don't get me wrong I know it is for safety but my parents were at work and were the ones who gave us the idea. We had asked the person if they could email our mom the documents to sign but again we were told no that they had to had to be there in person. If they were so worried about us drowning they would have lifeguards I didn't know that just because of our ages we were gonna drown. Do not go here if you don't have an obvious adult even though I know plenty of people who come here without their legal adult but they have an exception for some reason. They wasted our day by not letting us do anything without a parent so do not come here if you are a teenager who just wants to experience a fun summer at the lake. read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in the deluxe tent camping. I think since it was so early in the season and the weather wasn't the best is why we were the only tent campers there. Which made for a really quite and peaceful camping experience. Overall happy with our stay. The campsites were clean and shaded with trees. There was lots to do giant chess, corn hole, two pools, movies on the weekends, jumping pillow and the lake activities. We took advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards. They were well kept and in nice condition. Only bummer was there wasn't a beach to be able to get into kayaks or paddle boards. You had to climb or jump down off a floating dock which for some might be a challenge. The marina/camp store was well stocked and nice. They had jiffy pop which I find hard to find in stores. We also ordered firewood which had to be delivered. They said it would be deliverers between 6 and 7 pm. When 7 pm rolled around no wood, called and was told it's on the way. One hour late at 8 pm is when it actually arrived and it was wet... if I actually needed the wood to make dinner I wouldn't have been able to eat. That was really the only down side of the campground experience. read more

Stayed here one night on a cross country road trip and wished we could have stayed longer. Tons of activities for the whole family and the most beautiful lakefront campsites we've ever seen. The sunset was just incredible. Knocked off one star for an 11:00 checkout time with a pool that didn't open until 10:00 and kids activities (jumping pillow, pedal carts) that weren't available until 9:00. Our road-weary kids would loved to have had more time to enjoy the amenities. Still, can't beat those views. read more

I do not recommend this place at all! My sisters and I, the oldest being 18 (a legal adult), I 16 and my other two sisters being 15. When we first got there we went to the check in so we could pay to be able to do the inflatable's that are on the lake, we were waiting on the women, (her gender is inconclusive), to get off her phone in the office to let us pay and get our wrist bands; we waited for 15-20min. After waiting for that long we just decided to go to the lagoon office thinking thats where we had to get our wrist bands and sign the waivers; we were wrong. The lady over there was very kind and told us we had to go back up to the main office and thats where we had to do everything for the inflatables. We drive back up there and tell the lady, (the one whose gender is inconclusive), we just wanted to do the inflatables for the day. My oldest sister said she was 18 (a legal adult) and the woman was very rude and said our parents had to be there to sign the waivers. We asked if they could do it over the phone or even via email and the women just became more rude from there. All of this to say are the rules are very understandable but those rules were not stated on the website so we drove over an hour and then had to turn around and drive an hour back. The drive was not worth it, do not recommend! read more

2 years ago, we stayed at a Prizer Point 3 bedroom cabin and had a great time! Sadly, this time was so different. My daughter, husband and I stayed in a lakeside cottage H3. This cabin is badly in need of repair and updating. You can see daylight coming from under the door and around the air conditioner and windows, so the bugs have plenty of places to get inside. Trying to raise the blinds, they fell off the window. The front door chain was too short to reach the lock. The AC was off when we arrived and it was so hot that the fridge couldn't keep up and wasn't cold. It took at least 12 hours for the fridge to get cold after we arrived. There were tater tots in the bottom of the oven. The grill was a rust bucket. Each night before bed, there were tiny moths swarming the light fixture above our bed. Found a lot of ants as well. One thing to note, if you rent a golf cart, there is no outside power source to charge it. Also, bring paper towels because they don't give you those. And bring trash bags too. The ones they provided were half the size of the trash can and as thin as Saran wrap. The only positive thing I could say about this cottage was that it had a good view of the water and lots of shade in the back. On of the worst parts of this place was the service. It appeared to be run by teenagers only. Many were unhelpful and unprofessional. Some seemed to be trying but lacked management. On our last night, the pool attendant kicked us out at 7:30 when the hours in our welcome packet said closing time was 8:00. During one of our times at the pool, ashes were raining down on us like snow. Turns out some staff were burning tree trimmings or something in a different area of the park. Other than that, the pool was decent. But bring your own chairs, no chairs are provided out of concern for COVID-19. We tried to eat at the pier restaurant but waited so long for our order to be taken that we just had to leave. We ended up going home early just to avoid spending another night in that cottage. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that we will return to Prizer Point. read more

Arrived just after closing, Morgan was just leaving and stayed to help, she went above and beyond and it was so appreciated she went as far as leading up s to our site. The campground was clean and very well taken care of. The only improvement I would suggest would be to make the site numbers more visible. We would stay here again. read more

We stayed in td02 next to permanent campers who were the most inconsiderate loud vulgar sexual and homophobic jokes and spread out on our space. Talk about entitled white privilege attitude more like white trash. We have been coming here for 5 years several times a summer I have told all my family and friends what a great place this is. Someone should tell those people the rent on a permanent single camper site for $5000 a year does not give them "entitlement" to be rude and obnoxious to other campers. (KOA does permanent sites???) Woo Ra! Screaming it ever time you come out of you door at the top of you lungs. Classy NOT. Not only that when asked to tone it down they made fun of the camping attendant Tracy (who was super nice) and made fun of us when we left. Further, they went to other tent campers and gossiped about us complaining about them. Oh let's not forget driving on our site in their golf cart because their space is full of extra campers and they have no room. Must be driving away other campers is their thing. So sad it was such a nice place. Prizer did offer us other accommodations but after the last three days I did not want to possibly run into these ignorant people. I will eat the $67 + tax a nite to not expose my kids, grandson or myself to their abuse. We cancelled our other bookings this summer and will be filing a complaint with KOA. This is not KOA standards. They should put an 8 ft wall on the dividing line between "permanent entitled residents" and the normal campers to avoid this kind of issue. read more

I wish I could give them NO stars. We made our reservation for a family trip. It was during the solar eclipse and NO ONE told us on the phone or in email that it was considered a special event and we couldn't get a refund. They said the only refund they would give is a gift card to THEIR koa IF someone took our spot. My husband is active duty military and we are moving to CA in Oct so a gift card is useless. We called multiple times to speak to Tammy, they always said she'd call us back. It's been over a month and still waiting on her call back. Thankful we disputed it with our credit card to get our money back. Horrible customer service. We have a lot of friends in the military who RV across country during moves. Will make sure none of them ever stay here. read more

We rented a pontoon for half day. We were careful and didn't go too fast and watched the depth finder! They said our boats's prop was too damaged and we would have to pay for a new one. We didn't notice hitting anything so we were surprised. We will stick to Kentucky Lake from now on. $250 boat rental and $175 for new prop. We looked up the price of a new prop and it's only $75, not $175! We asked for the old one. It had a few dings in it, but it seemed to be working just fine. It's hard to know for sure how much damage we caused or if this was even the same prop? Oh well.... never had this issue elsewhere. read more

We went on a family camping trip with multiple family members coming from different states. We all left very upset. For starters, there were kids driving around, yelling, and singing on golf carts late at night way past curfew hours (young kids probably around 12/13 years old). Young kids doing donuts and peeling out on golf carts (nearly hit other camp guests). An employee asking multiple customers to buy him Ice-cream. We rented a boat, the gas was supposed to be full and we pay for refueling when finish, but the boat was only 1/2 full when we recieved it and they tried to make us pay to fill it back to full (we took photos of the gauge for proof and they still tried to charge us). All of the washers and dryers are "out of order" except for 1 washer on one side of the camp grounds and 1 dryer on the other side. You had to drive from one side to the other to wash/dry clothes. Zip line is completely shut down. Lagoon is only open sat/sun. The pool was the only attraction available. Camp sites had huge mud puddles all over (they did replace them with others so that was nice). 2 of my sisters for some strange reason couldn't get the camp employees to come and pump waste from their campers. We had to call multiple times to get someone to come pump them (apparently the guy doing it was "done for the day"). It was 2pm when we started calling because they were supposed to come that morning. Now, the worst part was their lack of accommodations for disabled people. Both of my parents are disabled. The camp assured us there were bathrooms maybe 100 feet from the camp site so my parents would have facilities close by as they physically cannot walk very far. We get there, there are no bathrooms nearby because, "the inspector has not inspected them yet for approval." They should have let us know before we came.. My parents had to walk 1/4 mile to use the bathrooms (they couldn't even use my sister's because no one would pump it). So, my brother and I rented my parents a golf cart to use so they could get around a little easier to and from the bathrooms. They made us pay for the golf cart!!! We didn't fight with them as our parents really needed it. They shouldn't have charged us as they told us there were bathrooms close to the site for them. Then, an employee named Tiffany yelled (literally yelled) at my elderly parents for having 1 too many people on the cart. They had 3 of there grandchildren on there because they were driving them to use the bathroom. Mind you these are small children ages 3,5,7. They were not too large and fit correctly with bottoms on the seat. Meanwhile we saw multiple young children driving carts, with 6,7, and 8 people piled on. Now, none of this would have been an issue had my parents not been told they couldn't bring their gas golf cart because gas powered carts were not allowed. Ha!!! We saw numerous gas powered carts driving around. The whole experience was just awful. read more

This place is outstanding. Many things to do like standup paddle boarding, treehouses to stay in, cabins, zip line, pools, trips to Nashville, and more. We are absolutely loving this campground. Every night I get to watch a beautiful sunset over Lake Barkley. read more

My family and I had a great time at Prizer Point. We stayed on a lakeside RV lot with a great view. I'd most certainly visit again. They must have changed things around since some of the other reviewers visited. None of the activities cost any money. The way it works is that each member of your group is given a wrist band upon checking in. As long as you have a wrist band, you can do any of the activities for free. This includes things like using the pool, mini golf, a big jumping pillow, a water slide, paddle boats, kayaks, and a big mountain thing that sits on the lake for kids to jump and slide off of.. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, so I can't comment on them. We did however rent a pontoon boat from the marine there and the staff treated us very well. If I went back, I would rent a pontoon from somewhere else though. The pontoons they offered were old and only after this experience did I realize you can get a much better pontoon for the same price just a few miles down the road. There are plenty of things for the kids to do here. It's definitely family friendly and it's a beautiful location. read more

We went here to tent camp and found that if you want a nice tent site. You pay about $80 a night. So we opted for the $30 a night. Than had to pay $10 each for use of the pool. So after paying $54 (tax included) we went off to our terribly dirty, in the middle of nothingness tent site. No picnic table, no water, no fire ring, they said just set up wherever. The bugs were terrible. There was broken glass and trash lying around. The tent area is across the street from the actual KOA. Everything was overpriced. The staff were mostly a bunch of loud kids. Not recommended if you want a nice tent site. read more

We stayed here with family over Labor day weekend 2014. We've traveled all over the US in our RV and are familiar with RV resorts and amenities. The quality of amenities here was NOT in line at all with their fees. It was around $70/night for an RV site with no sewer - that included the $10/per person "resort" fee which covered the amenities. If you have kids, then this may be worth it - there's a jumping pillow, 2 pools, an inflatable water slide, a mini golf course (very small) and a few other activities. We took advantage of the pool while we were there and each day, it was dirty. Bugs and even band aids floating in the water. It was gross. The showers near the pool were AWFUL - they mgmt even had signs on the doors apologizing for their condition, stating they would be upgraded soon. Even with that knowledge, I was disappointed. The floors looked rotten in spots, the showers were dirty, one barely drained, another was so small if you dropped your soap, you'd have a hard time bending down to fetch it - and I am a small woman (petitie frame and average size/weight). The water pressure in one of the bathrooms was so poor by the time I got out of the shower, I wasn't sure I could rinse the shampoo out of my hair. It was barely dribbling out of the faucet. A group of us wanted to go down the inflatable slide, so we trudged over to the slide, only to discover that adults are not permitted on the slide unless you are accompanying a small child. This angered me a good bit. While the logical argument could be made that large adults in poor physical condition may not be able to make it up the slide (you have to climb up the rear side of the slide, which can be difficult for some), and they don't want heavier adults on the slide - it seems like the more you weigh, the more speed you get on the way down. I think there has to be a better solution to this. There were adults going down the slide under the guise that they were accompanying children and thought the rule was silly. It appears as though the rule wasn't being applied consistently to all guests. There's also a floating "iceberg" in the lake - an inflatable contraption that kids/adults climb and then jump/slide off. We took some paddle boats out on the lake to watch the iceberg participants and I was horrified at the melee there - it was an insurance carrier's nightmare. People climbing right above another - likely to fall on top of the person below - people sliding down with others at the bottom. There was no control or supervision at all. All in all, I thought it was a ripoff for the $ spent. We've stayed at KOA's all over the country. We stayed in a KOA in Jackson, WY (a hugely expensive area) and paid max $50/night - and their restroom trailers were AWESOME! Clean, heated, and even stocked with shampoo/conditioner/soap in case you forgot to bring yours! They didn't have pools, but the scenery was gorgeous - along the Snake River. I didn't find that the fees charged by the KOA in Cadiz to be in line with amenities, location nor scenery/attraction. The location is really remote and the lake isn't all that beautiful. Guests are charge extra for the "amenities" and then limited by the condition of those amenities and rules prohibiting folks from participating. I think it's a racket and we won't be back. We also ate in their restaurant one night - it was mediocre at best. I had the fried catfish and for $12, I thought it was way over priced. 2 small pieces of fish, frozen fries and a few hush puppies. read more

We had a large group of around 30 people coming in for a retreat from all over the states. Prizer Point made it an incredible experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we were having a good time. The lodgings were basic, but clean and had everything we needed to make food. Of course, it's right by the lake so there were some bugs on the windows and floors, but that's to be expected! Some in the group rented a pontoon, and the propeller broke but the marina quickly fixed it and they had a great time on the lake. There were plenty of activities for kids and adults alike, and even when it rained we had the option of the enclosed pool and various board games + a variation of ping pong. We even set up corn hole in the lounge until the rain stopped. I was a little worried about some things because of some of the negative reviews, but I am happy to say we didn't have a single bad thing to say about the place or the people! I'm thinking some people just can't be pleased and expect bad things so that's why they don't have much nice to say! Highly recommend Prizer Point and KOA for anyone who wants to stay at a beautiful resort tucked away in the country... The drive to the resort was breathtaking, but a little challenging for inexperienced RV pullers as there are lots of curves and hills! read more

I was soooo disappointed. Loved this campground the first time we stayed there a few years ago. They have done a lot of building and the sites are nice, they now have few views if the lake. The WiFi doesn't work. You get what you pay for. It's free... and good luck connecting to it. We also had no phone signal or tv tuner ...digital OR analog signal from our antenna. It also appears they have all teenagers running the place. Total disorganization integration camp store. It took almost an hour to get a price on a pontoon boat rental and then they didn't tell us that we had to pay for gas upon return. For the outrageous rental fee the gas should have been included. I'd rate the food at the restaurant but we never got any service. We were seated and waited 25 minutes and no server. There were 4 people in the restaurant so it wasn't busy. The hostess disappeared and apparently took the staff with her. I've also never seen so many water snakes in my life! Literally saw at least 50 near the marina alone. We won't go back. I'm sad about that. Previous stats were nice. read more

This campground has some awesome views of the lake. Trouble is that some of the trailer sites are either placed right next to a cabin or are too close to other sites. The grounds have many cabins to stay in, but parking is very limited. Also, watch out for the teens driving golf carts on the narrow roads. Check in was not the typical KOA. I will say that it might be because it was father's day weekend. The check in office looked new with three check in stations. All three employees I saw were busy on the phone answering questions. After a bit of waiting, the nice woman asked the person she was talking with to hold so she could check me in. I was then given my parking pass, map, and other items. After pointed out my reserved spot, I expected the golf cart lead to my trailer spot. I got none and had to back my 30 foot trailer up between a bunch of cars with no KOA parking passes. Needless to say I was able to park the trailer successfully without hitting anything. Years of experience! I was happy to see that my site had a deck. Trouble is that I had to pound down 50 nails so I didn't stub my toe on them. Price was a little high for what I got. read more

Love this place! We had an open weekend so decided to go camping at Prizer Point and it was the perfect decision! With 3 kids ranging from 1-11, sometimes it's hard to find things the whole family can enjoy but this hit the mark. I couldn't believe how much was included to keep the kids busy and having fun. My daughter even thanked me for not letting her bring her iPad because she had more fun without it. My oldest tried paddle boarding for the first time and all 3 kids were wiped out at the end of the night. We will be back for sure. This is one of the best family trips we have taken! read more

We had a very average experience here. The area was very pretty and had a nice lake surrounding the camp ground. We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow in mid October. The cabin was not cleaned well. The baseboards, under bed/sofa, and loft were very dusty and really bothered our allergies. The "dwelling" (owners home?) had a dog that was NOT on a leash and hassled out leashed dog twice. The restaurant was open, but did not have half the things available and was very overpriced. There was very little staff available. The checkout time was 10:00am but the office was not open at 9:30 am. We had to search for an employee so we could check out. The amenities wristband is overpriced too. There are better places to stay in the area. read more

We stayed in condo 13 and our friends stayed across the street in an RV pull through site. First of all I would like to stay I have stayed at several other camp sites in lodging and you are by far the most expensive place we have ever stayed. My friends, having an RV, also commented on how their RV spot was the most expensive place they have ever stayed. We were ok with this because of the extra amenities and hoping the quality of the resort would be worth it, but it was unfortunately not. We also rented 2 golf carts, and had a boat for what would have been 2 days, so needless to say we spent quite a bit of money at your resort and unfortunately we were so disappointed we left a day early. One golf cart we got was not fully charged and 30 minutes after using it, it died and we had to push it back to the marina. We had one golf cart where the keyhole was broken. 2 times the key insert fell behind the cup holder, making the golf cart unusable because you could not insert the key. One time I was stranded with 3 of my kids and we had to walk to the marina where were helped but were notified this happens and they knew that golf cart # 5 was the broken on . . . I asked for a new one but I was told I don't need one and I could not get one. It broke again and this time I had to fix it myself - not exactly happy especially with the cost of the golf cart. My friend's pull through RV spot was extremely uneven and the spots are literally on top of one another and crammed in. The resort was littered with trash. My 1 year old could not walk around without picking up trash everywhere!! It was absolutely disgusting. The big indoor/outdoor pool was closed 1 full day while we were there. The game room has little to no games and the large chess pieces are locked up and can't be used. The lagoon was a shining star, however, it was only open on the weekend, which was not clearly advertised on the website. This is extremely misleading when you are paying so much for the stay at the resort for one of these amenities. The restaurant is something else. We ate there for breakfast on Sunday. The windows are so disgusting with bugs stuck on them it makes one lose their appetite. The food was literally frozen and almost inedible Frozen waffles, frozen fruit, frozen muffins and Danishes. I understand the need to freeze food but not to serve it frozen. One could have broken their teeth on the frozen strawberries alone. We rented a boat on Monday and we loaded up the boat, had every one on it and ready to rock and roll. Low and behold they could not find the keys for the boat. They were nowhere to be found. We had to unload all our stuff and all our kids and move to a different boat. This obviously took up time and we were able to leave an hour later than we had reserved because of this. Finally the kicker of the whole resort and why we finally left early - our condo. The layout was fantastic and the condo itself had strong potential, as did the whole resort. However it was absolutely filthy. The first 10 minutes we were there my 1 year old was walking around and crawling on the floor and literally turned black. The floor was so disgusting that my girl's feet and legs turned black in 10 minutes. I called and immediately a lovely young girl came down to mop the floor, but she brought a Swiffer type mop and 1 pad so within 2 swipes of the floor she was just mopping with a dirty pad. I had to scrub the floor myself for my daughter to be able to walk around the condo. Likewise the quantity of bugs in our condo was unacceptable. There were bugs, ants, and grasshoppers EVERYWHERE. And the quantity of bugs killed on the walls and windows was disgusting. However the thing that bother us the most was the dampness in our condo. It rained on Sunday and ever since then our condo was down right damp. The floor was damp and slippery, the bedsheets were damp, the towels were damp. It was uncomfortable and gross. I know we are camping. I expect some bugs and some dirt, but I also paid $2300 to not have to deal with the quantity of dirt and bugs. I especially paid that amount of money to not have to deal with the dampness and to have dry towels to dry off with. If these things did not bother me I would have tent camped and then it would have been understandable. I have tried repeatedly to have some one contact me regarding my concerns . . . I have called now 3 times, sent 1 email, Facebook edit messaged 3 times and yet stil no one will respond to me. There are so many other choices around Kentucky lake and land between the lakes. Please don't waste your time and money here. read more

Never again. These people are rude, dishonest, and cheap. They cheated us out of a security deposit on a boat rental because a prop blade was bent. Trouble is, the 15 year old twerp who did the walk through in the morning never pulled the prop up to show us the blades. We had no incidents and hit nothing during our rental. When we were through, the inspection included the prop blades (which we had never seen). How are you going to charge someone for damage that was most likely already there when the rental began. They're trying to get someone else to pay to fix their broken crap. I personally will never be back. There are way too many other, nicer, friendlier places to rent a cabin and boat around the lakes to bother with these people. read more

Our family rented a deck boat for the day. The boat was a little weathered, prop a little chipped and broken front light. Price for rent is comparable for area. Prizer has tons of things to offer for a marina. They have a restaurant, store, cabins, and tent camping. The marina has an floating iceberg they move out to the cove for climbing. We will go back. read more

Gorgeous view of the lake from our premier site, but a little expensive. We went during the weekand and it was very quiet. We got wristbands with our camping fee, so no extra cost for activities. They have cable tv hook ups. They advertise free wifi, but our site was too far away to get it. If we go back we will get a site closer to the pool. read more

We've found ourselves without a place to stay when our house closing didn't happen as expected. We wandered around staying at some less than nice places when we finally stumbled upon this gem. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The views are amazing. In total, we will have stayed 15 days here. Nice cabin with 2 bedrooms. One with double bed and the other had 2 sets of twin bunks. Armoire for your clothes and ceiling fans. Nice front porch with Weber bbq and propane is furnished. Kitchen is well stocked and includes grill spatula. Little dining table that folds up upon the wall if you need more room. 32" tv with plenty of cable channels. Wi-fi is spotty. We had them deliver firewood. Bundle does not include paper or matches -FYI. So many things to do here. Nice pool, jumping pillow, corn hole, etc. Everything is in good repair. With your wristband, you can help yourself to paddle board, kayaks, etc without having to wait in line. Movies in the park on weekends. We rented a pontoon boat and had a great day on the lake. Nice clean boat and ran as expected. We also ate in the restaurant. Food was good, prices were good. No complaints whatsoever! read more

First time staying here. We really enjoyed it. This is the first KOA that we've been to that doesn't have a grill. So we had to go to a local store to buy one. If you go and plan on grilling make sure you bring one. We were there this past weekend and they had a band playing on the water which was wonderful. They were facing towards the water so people could be on their boats and if you didn't have a boat you could float in the water. There was this really big water bouncy house that my kids loved and my husband did too while the band was playing. I must agree that there are tons of kids on golf carts, but they're kids and love to have fun too. It's also pet friendly which we took our dogs. It is extra. We rented a boat which was SUPER expensive and it had issues. You must stay within a certain range with the boat otherwise an annoying alarm starts going off. We didn't care for that. If you're going to spend so much money and are paying for the gas, you should be able to go where you want. If you rent a golf cart it's about $60 a night. We're going back Labor Day weekend, but wanted to share some information that we weren't told. The only reason why I'm giving a 4 star review was due to the fact they didn't have a grill and we had to go spend extra money to get one. They do have fire pits. read more

If I could, I would give this location negative stars. Any future renter needs to be very careful and aware of their "no refund" policy. They will not issue a refund NO MATTER WHAT!!! As I have read in other reviews, these people are rude, and know that they have the visitors over a barrel, and can do whatever they wish to do. There is no regard for customer service or meeting the needs of the customer. It is a very unprofessionally run office and I will never again rent anything from them. Over last July 4 weekend, we wanted to rent a pontoon with a slide for two days - we have six kids that were going to use the slide a lot over those days. The only reason we were renting a pontoon was because we wanted a slide for the kids. I was taken out to the pontoon by a dock worker, and first off found that it was filthy dirty...mud, cobwebs, etc. I then asked the dock worker to check the hose that supplied water up to the slide because the last one we had did not work properly. The hose, in fact, did not work...so the slide would not work properly. We were then told by the dock worker that "Oh, a lot of the hoses are clogged due to algae, but that's what the bucket on the top platform is for." As it turns out, as I was told by the dock worker, and Tracy and Cody at Prizer Point's office, their expectation was that we (the customers) were to dip water out of the lake, hand it up to the top of the slide, and pour the water down the slide to keep it wet. And, as we then realized, almost all of the pontoons that had a slide had a bucket sitting on the top platform. This was absolutely unacceptable - we did not want to spend all day dipping water from the lake and pouring it down the slide. At that point, we elected to not take the pontoon. I told the dock worker that this was not the pontoon we were told we would be able to rent....the slide did not operate, and they were mis-representing their sale to me. There were no other boats available. Long story short, despite my dissatisfaction, and after talking to the prior mentioned individuals (Tracy and Cody) at the Prizer Point office several times over the next couple of hours, the only thing they would do was to reduce our daily rate by $100, from $450 down to $350 per day, for a standard pontoon boat (without a slide.) This was not acceptable to our party as, again, that was not the pontoon we intended on renting....we were renting one with a slide. When I pointed out to the Prizer Point staff (Tracy, Cody) that having a slide that did not work properly was a safety hazard for our children, their response was "that's what the bucket is for." I was then told I would need to speak to the KOA Operations Manager, Tammy. She happened to be off that particular day, but I proceeded to call her twice in the following days, and I went in to try to see her at the Prizer Point office - not being able to reach her any of the three times but leaving messages in all three instances. I received no response back from Tammy to any of my inquiries. In the end, they ended up keeping both days of my charges, as well as my damage deposit of $200 - and we didn't even take the boat out. I contacted my credit card company, informed them of our situation and provided them the information they needed. Through them, I was able to have all of my funds returned to me. But Prizer Point themselves were not going to budge. I also called KOA Corporate Customer Service. All they could do was log my complaint....they were powerless to do anything with this location. So this phone call was fruitless. If you have other options on Lake Barkley, you need to seriously consider them. read more

Upon checking into our cabin, a maintenance person was repairing a leaking window. *The cabin floor was not swept or mopped. *The coffeepot had not been emptied. *The fridge had not been wiped down and there were stains on the shelves. There's an icemaker that doesn't work. *There were THREE forks for a cabin that sleeps 8. Rain came our first night and the window continued to leak. We then noticed that our toilet was leaking as well. On our first full-day, the maintenance person worked on our window and toilet all day; finally replacing the toilet completely. We had to use the public restroom/bathhouse full of spiders, spiderwebs & bugs. Obviously not properly cleaned. Even after the installation of a new toilet, we continued having problems with it overflowing. When I mentioned this to the staff, an apology was not offered. Only that another renter had mentioned they had bugs in their sheets. That was not encouraging. We rented a pontoon boat only to find out that there is no cancellation policy - again not mentioned on the web site. Payment in full is required at time of reservation. If it's raining, THEY decide if it's bad enough to keep the boats at the marina. We paid nearly $400 for a full-day rental only to discover that the prop had been torn up and the radio did not work. I'm sorry, but $400 is not petty cash and I expect everything to work properly. When we explained this and asked if they would be interested in providing a tube for free, they sent their service team to repair the boat. So, THEIR service team is repairing THEIR boat on OUR dime! Seriously?! They finally agreed to just refund our money. I saw 4-5 bikes that were broken; numerous games in the arcade were broken, including pool table & air hockey. The "Iceberg" touted on the website is only open Saturday and Sunday. Check-in is at 3:00 on Saturday and check-out is 10:00 AM the following Saturday. So, basically, the kids get Sunday - one day - to play on the iceberg. This fact is not mentioned on the web site. Consider this BEFORE purchasing your advance discount activities wristband! Prizer Point is obviously not interested in repeat business. For almost $1,500/ week, I expected a better quality, cleaner facility and at the very least a staff willing to make the stay worth the money spent. Instead the staff was indifferent. read more

I was looking for a place to park my camper and do some fishing and let the grandkids have some fun. I checked out this place and could tell as I drove through that this place was going to be a dump. It's out in the middle of nowhere but the website looked like it had all we needed. The pool had a sign posted that it has been closed by order of the health department so there goes the kids fun. For a KOA campground/resort it sure looked like the pits. Management should be able to drop some money in this place with the money they are stealing from people. read more
