My family and myself have been going to Venture River since the day it opened. At that time I worked for the ambulance service in Lyon County and the owners gave the employees free admission, so I bought season passes for my kids. We went every year and it was great. Not handicap friendly. I brought four kids and spent nearly $400 but was rudely told I could not sit at a picnic table. The lady out chairs are impossible to get in and out of and the only other chairs besides the picnic tables are too high. I had to leave the spot where my kids knew I was so I could let them know where I would be now too. I was told that the area was set aside for big groups but it was only 3 hours from closing and no groups were there. Also I have been there with groups and for birthday parties and random people have sat in there with us. It's just we have spent a lot of money there for someone to be so mean. I didn't even say a thing to her I just left when she kept glaring at me. Without my kids knowing where to find me. There's just no reason to be that way. read more

I don't frequent many water parks, but this place was great! It's roughly an hour away from Fort Campbell, and they even give a military discount. (It was $2 off per person, but it's something!) It was $98 for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The staff was polite and friendly. We were welcomed, given a map, and pointed in the direction of the locker rooms. We changed and found a spot to put our stuff down. There were lots of chairs and a couple large umbrellas scattered around the park to choose from. We came mid day on a Friday, but it was challenging to find a seat. We had brought a picnic blanket, so we laid that down near a tree and were happy with just that! There are shaded picnic areas you can rent, but we were told they were all rented out and stay that way during the season, so, if you want one, you have to book way in advance! It looked like they came with small fridges and electricity. There was food scattered around the park, but my husband bought a grilled chicken sandwich, 2 hot dogs, and a cheeseburger for us for lunch. It all cost roughly $20, but wasn't anything amazing. The hot dogs were boiled and my daughter didn't want to eat it. You are allowed to bring food in, so, next time, we will probably just do that! There was something at this park for everyone! My daughter, she's 3, really enjoyed the kids' area either the purple slide. They had a cure set up with shallow water and one of those giant mushrooms. We visited the itty bitty section briefly. It had a few of those dumping buckets and a frog slide. It was cute, but didn't hold my daughter's attention for very long. The other kids' section had a ton of water slides! Both my 9 and 3 year old had fun on them and went on the slides multiple times. My husband and son had a great time on some of the bigger water slides, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the wave pool and lazy river. My only complaint would be the size of the bathrooms/locker room. For the amount of people at the park that day, there was always a line for the bathroom/to get changed. Had we found out about this place sooner in the season, we may have considered buying a pass! Love coming here versus going to Nashville shores. Not only is it not as packed, but the prices seem more reasonable to me. Both locations are about the same distance from me; so I can go to either. I enjoy coming here regardless. It's not a huge place, but it has just about the same things as Nashville shores. I've not seen this place super packed like Nashville; which I prefer. I will admit that I did not have high expectations for a water park in the middle of nowhere. However, the layout of the park was perfect to keep the crowd spaced out. They have indicated that they are limiting crowds and it clearly shows. Even on a holiday weekend, we were never packed in with others even in areas like the lazy river. The kid area is perfect with different sized slides for every level of adventure. Food pricing is very reasonable for an amusement park and there was no extra charge for parking. Stuff was extremely over priced for the kind of low budget park it is. In terms of water parks I've been to (gaylord sound waves, great wolf...ect) it was a 5/10. But the staff we did interact with, were polite and helpful. The place was clean and seemed to place value in safety. There were lifeguards milling about everywhere. And most importantly. We went during the Memorial Day Weekend. Got so lucky that it was their grand opening weekend. Our 7 yr old boy and 4 yr old girl had the BEST TIME EVER! This place is big enough for the kids to enjoy. It is such a kid friendly and family oriented place. I loved it, our kids loved it. We'll be back for sure. And entrance fee is very reasonable. I've been here with the family twice and on very different days. Once it was not too crowded and today it was packed! The best part is the amount of rides and lifeguards. There are enough slides to keep the lines from getting too long, that's good. There are also tons of lifeguards, everywhere that you look. Speaking of "looking", if you are expecting to see lots of beautiful people in bathing suits, this isn't the park for you. In fact, you might just leave feeling a bit better about your own physique after some time here. It's time to invest some money into the bathrooms, they are needing a makeover. Or maybe, the better answer would be to build a new restroom facility on the other side of the park. I can't say anything about the food, sorry. The price seems a bit high, but it drops almost in half if you come after 3pm. Honestly, 3 hours is plenty of time for this park, so save your money and come after 3pm, that way you can also avoid buying a meal in the park! read more

We had an absolute blast here! Clean facility, lots of fun for ALL ages! My one year old had just as much fun in the baby areas as my 7 year old had on the slides and in the wave pool! We got nachos and a taco in a bag and they were delicious, plus dip n dots (my personal favorite). Definitely worth the season pass if you are within an hour or even two! read more

We love it here. They have great water slides and rides, the wave pool is nice and it's not ridiculously expensive.

We go to this water park about twice a season. This year we had season passes (makes a great Christmas gift!). The passes are most useful of you live relatively close. you get a small discount on the gift shop but that's it, nothing like what the bigger parks offer for season pass holders. The rides are comparable to bigger amusement parks, so we really don't feel the need to go to Six Flags or Holiday World for the water rides! Just like any amusement, weekends have long lines! Our favorite thing to do is renting a cabana for the day for a guaranteed shady spot, the big ones even come with table/chairs/mini fridge (but not table service like Dollywood) . Food prices are okay, The best deal is the family pizza, get a xl pizza a 4 drinks for around 30$. This year new snack stands were added offering state fair types of snacks. If you need a place to spend a hot KY summer day, you can't really go wrong with Venture River. read more

We came here on Labor Day. It's crowded but not totally crazy. I didn't want to do water thing. So they have a deal where you pay admission and get a wrist band. When you leave you can turn wrist band in and get $15 back! That made me happy. There are lots of different things to keep kids busy. The shaded area with tables is perfect for mom's waiting. Spent the day there with an uber-whiney 5 year old. Though I thought the price was a wee steep ($21 for adults; $17 for kids 54" or less), it was a nice water park. It's not large, but had nice offerings in attractions. Great slides, friendly staff, and very clean. The Tuesday we spent wasn't extremely crowded and waits were short. We didn't eat there, but I thought the drinks were reasonably priced...$2 for a large fountain, $1.50 for a bottled soda and $2.50 for an Icee. If the price of admission was lower or they offered free drinks/sunscreen, I'd give it 5 stars. read more

Stayed at the RV park attached to the water park and showed up 30 min after closing and the office stayed open for us. We loved the park everything was beautiful and spread out, staff was great! The water park looked great but didn't have a chance to go but would return here for sure. read more

Venture River Water Park - Fun times at the new Treetop!! - Water Parks Near Me - Eddyville, Kentucky

This was a nice park over all and for a Saturday it was not super crowded and over all lines where moving efficiently. Exceptions where Funbi! Was the exception we had a group of 3 and there was only 4 yellow 3-4 person tubes. They had plenty of 2 person green tubes for this ride. The problem was that the wait for tubes took a long time. The reason was 2 person groups got to Jump in line over the 3-4 person groups. So that was a bit annoying. The ride itself was great! Dueling Demon Speed Slides. This was another line issue. The ride needs time to reset the water levels at the bottom for safety and I am glad they keep it safe. If I had know this i would have went earlier in the day when the line was shorter. Food prices was not horrible for Park food and the eating spots where fine to. Seems like the picnic Aires outside the park where nice although we did not use them. Although we did not use a locker are belongings where left alone and untouched. That was nice. I would consider this a safe park. Life guards where every where and they let u have a good time. We had a 18 month old there and she had a good time. Lots of stuff for her age and up. The parking lot is free and is gravel not asphalt so take shoes or flip flops. It was nice that they had spots for flip flops at the line and exit spots on most rides. Tubes where free as well. Not bad for the price and had a good day over all. read more

We had an amazing time at this waterpark. There was plenty of places for everyone of all ages to have fun. They also had plenty places that were shaded over so you could get out of the sun for awhile. The prices were on the higher side but if you think about all of the activities provided for that price it's actually quite an inexpensive water park. They have concessions that are more on the expensive side but nothing outrageously overpriced. They also provide cheaper tickets for smaller people that can't ride all of the rides. Overall this would be a great place to take the family on a vacation. read more
