Love coming here versus going to Nashville shores. Not only is it not as packed, but the prices seem more reasonable to me. Both locations are about the same distance from me; so I can go to either. I enjoy coming here regardless. It's not a huge place, but it has just about the same things as Nashville shores. I've not seen this place super packed like Nashville; which I prefer. Place is clean, staff is friendly, and prices are reasonable.

We came to town for the water park. We cannot wait to come back! Everything is so affordable. Our kids had the best time and we did too! Very impressed! Even the concession stand prices are affordable. Lines are not terribly long and we came on a holiday weekend. Wish our town had one of these

We went during the Memorial Day Weekend. Got so lucky that it was their grand opening weekend. Our 7 yr old boy and 4 yr old girl had the BEST TIME EVER! This place is big enough for the kids to enjoy. It is such a kid friendly and family oriented place. I loved it, our kids loved it. We'll be back for sure. And entrance fee is very reasonable. Local people can consider season pass coz it's so cheap.

Fun times at the new Treetop!!

Go there every summer, love it. Rent a cabana and you can bring in your own food and drinks. Great for birthday parties for kids!!

We love it here. They have great water slides and rides, the wave pool is nice and it's not ridiculously expensive.

Plus Thunderbird serves as a good supporting steel coaster for when you get tired of the wooden coasters, and Good Gravy, while it is not as thrilling as the rest of the coasters as it is intended for the younger set, makes up for its lack of thrills with a very kitschy indoor queue themed to a grandmother's house. And don't skip the water park. The water park, Splashin Safari, is better than the widely lauded Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, at least in terms of water coasters, and the lines are much shorter, so you can actually enjoy the water coasters without buying a fast pass, which cannot be said of Schiltterbahn. Additionally, the park some charming flats for when you want thrills from something other than a coaster, including the rare Hrubetz Round-Up, which doesn't give you a seat, but has you stand against the wall and relies on centripetal forces to keep you in place. Plus there are a bunch of things this park offers its guests for free, like free parking, free drink refills, and free sunscreen that you have to pay for at other parks that make the Holiday World experience so much nicer, even if you're not a passholder. All this is complemented by some charming theming centered around the major holidays, namely Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, as well as the major holiday of the summer, Independence Day. And if all these holiday goodness has you hankering for a grand holiday dinner, Holiday World has just the place in Plymouth Rock Cafe. This restaurant serves a Thanksgiving turkey dinner, along with some other meats with all the fixings, that is as hearty as the one you get at home. And, despite being in an amusement park, the pricing is in line for a holiday dinner at a restaurant outside of an amusement park. However, I do wished they also served the meat of Christmas dinner, ham, alongside turkey. The only knock I have on Holiday World is I find it terribly ironic, given their Thanksgiving and Christmas theming, that Holiday World is not open for the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. While such an event would need to preclude Splashin Safari due to cold temperatures, I would love to come when the weather fits the holiday atmosphere, even if it means needing to bundle up, both to see how a park themed to Christmas can look at night, and to get a lot more night rides in when the sun sets around 5pm instead of 9pm. But until then, the wonderful slice of Christmas in July that Holiday World provides will more than suffice.

ROMP is far too commercialized, camping is basic parking lot style for RV campers (we had a basketball court fully lit nearly all night behind us) unless you're VIP which honestly VIP didn't look all that great for the $$. If your someone who enjoys late night jams, camping in the woods, having an adult beverage and enjoying the wee hours of the night..... this is NOT that place. They have limited sites for RVs near the late night stage and camping area. We were forced to camp at the front of the park because staff did not allow you (first come first serve, we arrived when gates opened first day) to pick your camp spot in your designated ticket location, so we had a long walk to enjoy the late night shows. We are musicians who go to music festivals to enjoy great music and campsite jam sessions with various people. This "festival" greatly disappointed us.

Home to the ROMP festival which takes place each summer, you won't regret going. The park is big and offers something for everybody. Several different playgrounds for the kids, a water park, several different paved and unpaved trails, a family owned orchard nearby, baseball fields, open fields, lake, frisbee golf, you name it. My personal favorite is the nature trails all the way in the back, it's about a .75 mile loop, hilly and fun. Great for dog walking, too. There are old cabins in the back you can walk through and check out, kind of fun to see. And if you attend ROMP, they have an after party/show at one of those cabins! So cool to see them utilized. Definitely check out yellow creek park if you want a nice run or walk or to entertain kids, dogs, etc.
