I had Matt replace my roof on my house in Fairfield back in 2012 and 12 years later I am still very happy with results. At the time I interviewed about 7 or 8 different roofing companies. Matt was not the cheapest or the most expensive. He was in the middle of the price range. There is a saying :"You get what you pay for." So choosing the cheapest roofing company is no bargain if it does a terrible job. This is your home and you will be living with a headache for a long time if shoddy work is performed. There were many reasons why I choose Matt, but one I clearly remember was he listed his home address (35 Villa Avenue)in the estimate and the contract. A lot of other roofers listed a P.O.Box or only a phone number. When I saw that I knew Matt did good work because he wasn't afraid to list his home address. That spoke volumes. When I asked for references of other jobs he had done he immediately provided them. I called the 3 customers and they all raved about the work he had done. I also asked if they were family members or personal friends and they said "No". What I also liked about Matt was he did the roofing job and did not subcontract it out. Everyday he stopped by to make sure the work was progressing. He started when he said he would and he finished on the date he expected. I remember another positive experience related to replacing the roof. I have two chimneys on my house. I ordered to cage caps to be installed to prevent squirrels from entering into the chimney. They did not arrive before Matt finished the job. I asked him if he could sent a member of his crew back to install the caps when they arrived. He said "No Problem". I confess I was a little worried, because the job was finished and paid for and economically it did it make sense for Matt to send a crew member back. Five stars (only because more were not an option) for Matt Kerigan and his wonderful crew. Professionalism and honesty all the way around. Matt was highly recommended by our neighbors who very recently had their roof replaced by Kerigan's Roofing. We called Matt and he came out quickly, sent us a comprehensive quote and then came back to explain everything clearly and succinctly. Quote was below the competition and the work was spot on. Material and dumpster were delivered just a couple days after we signed the contract -- crew was here soon after and the job was done in a couple of days -- not a single glitch, great workmanship, professional, diligent, and just all around nice guys. Clean up was amazingly thorough. Outside of leaving us a pristine and high quality result, if we weren't here to witness it, you'd never know they were here. I received 4 quotes and Kerigan's came in with best cost. While cost was important to me, I also looked at quality of material, work and time frame for completing the job. The materials and workmanship matched up apples to apples so there was no price savings with lesser quality material. Matt was extremely patient in answering all my questions, offered helpful suggestions when selecting color and I truly felt like I was working with a family member the entire time. I was also extremely pleased that they were able to begin the work in less than two weeks. The team arrived on time, were professional and courteous and completed job in one day. Two years later, I'm still so happy with Kerigan's Roofing! My new roof (now 2 years old) looks fantastic! Matt was extremely professional, and his pricing was very fair. As an engineer, I really appreciated his honesty and the helpful recommendations he made during our initial meeting to get the best results. His crew was punctual, very hardworking, and friendly--even on an incredibly hot day in August, they got right to work without any complaints and they worked all day. Very happy I chose Kerigan's Roofing for my roof replacement. The work was done efficiently, neatly, and the crew were polite and friendly. The only way you knew they were there was if you looked up to see the beautiful new roof. I can't be happier with Kerigan's roofing. They came in and replaced the roof which entailed removing 3 layers of shingles dating back to the 1930's, fixing some damaged roof decking and installing new 130 mph rated shingles.
