This is my 2nd review of Kellner Roofing. Please see my other post from November 2015. After a superb job patching our roof we decided to have Saul and Kellner Roofing bid on replacing the whole roof as well as siding work that Saul mentioned needing addressing. As new home owners, 9 months ago when Saul finished the 1st job he mentioned that the shaker shingles on our house hadn't been treated, washed, and stained in too long and problems were emerging. Of course Saul was the best offer to complete all the work - new roof, repair and stain of shingle siding, and other carpentry work that previous homeowners had neglected for too long. True to our experience with him last time his work was exceptionally professional, very well done, and results look amazing. From the time we contracted with Saul to do the work until completion was right at 2 weeks - we were amazed as the other contractors we had bid couldn't have even started in same amount of time. I returned home from a vacation to find excessive water leakage with some damage from my roof and chimney. I called around my area and Saul responded promptly. He came over right away and without hesitation took out a ladder and surveyed the roof. He knew exactly what needed to be repaired and suggested several options. Saul and his crew are very experienced, knowledgeable, and courteous. They are also very creative in designing custom solutions and offer top quality materials with attention to budget and are willing to work with their customers. Saul meticulously repaired everything and may I say just in time prior to many flash flood storms. Everything is dry and protected perfectly. He even stated how many years of useful life I could safely expect for my current roofing. They are not hard sell and provide expert services. I highly recommend Kellner Roofing and will be using them for a full roof replacement when needed. read more

I had a leak in my roof. So, I called the first roofing contractor in, and they just look at it briefly gave me a quote, said, it's easy, they will just overlay a new roof over the top. Then I called Kellner Roofing to have a 2nd opinion. Boy, am I glad I did. Saul was thorough. He examined all the pieces, corners, and even gutters. He told me the problems I had the old roof, including that I already had multiple lays, and the problem may be old lays crumbling under, and the gutter placement was all wrong. When the job starts, he was also punctual, showed up exactly when he said he would. I watched the whole process through, and Saul would take the time to explain every step, include where the old problem was, and how he's going to fix it. A few days later, he called me up and asked me how the roof was and if I was satisfied. A great customer service. I would recommend Kellner Roofing to anyone. read more

Saul and Kellner Roofing offered superb and professional service, we would highly recommend. After purchasing our first home we find out that our supposed leak free roof indeed had 3 leaks - we called Saul on a Thursday and he was available same day to bid the repair or replacement of the roof. Saul was very candid about the pros and cons of different repair and replacement options. On the following Monday we decided to have Saul do a repair as we found him relative to the 2 other contractors we contacted to have the 1) best price, 2) fastest service and most importantly, 3) the most comfortable and trustworthy work crew. True to form, he was at our house later in the day and repaired our roof in a few hours. The end result - leak free roof and no evidence left behind that we had any work done. He matched the repaired section nicely with the existing roof and all debris was removed. read more

Saul is by far the best contractor I've had the privelage of working with. I had a terrible leak in my roof during a torential rain storm. I called Saul and he was at my house within 30 minutes for an estimate. His estimate was fantastic, he gave me numerous options with a wide variety of price ranges. Saul was at my house and the repair completed in less than 24 hours from the time I first called him! He worked with me and the price was fantastic and the work even better! His technical knowledge and ability to get the job done quickly and efficiently was outstanding. Having been burned by contractors in the past, working with Saul and Kellner Home Improvement was truly a breathe of fresh air. I was very impressed overall with Kellner Home Improvement. When Saul came to give me an estimate on my roof 3 months ago he explained everything very well and gave me a great price. They all showed up on time ready to go until the job was done. They even stayed late when needed instead of running out the door. They were all very professional, friendly and cleaned up nice which is a plus for me! I already have recommended them to a few people as I would definitely use them again. I really don't understand what the other review was about as I found Kellner Home Improvement to be the total opposite of her experience. Wow! What a great experience I had with Sal! Called on Thursday; made an appointment for Friday. He was personable and proffessional! My roof is 25+ years old and although I don't have leaks or any problems wanted to be sure i wouldn't - thankfully he said I have a good 5-8 years left on the roof - yeah honesty! As a single woman I have been taken by a paint contractor before so it was refreshing to have someone honestly turn down potential work; obviously to maintain his reputation! I'm very happy with my whole experience with Kellner Roofing. Saul was awesome. He thoroughly inspected our roof inside and out -because we had leaks- before giving us a quote, which was the best of 4 we received. His crew did a beautiful job and finished on time. They even fixed up the dilapidated cupola on our garage and gave it a nice copper flashing to match the chimney on the house. Everything looks great. These guys are great. Saul is very helpful and informative about the process. He and his team go above and beyond the basic scope of the work. I hired them to get new shingles on my roof. Not only did they do a great job, but they made sure I had no leak points in any potion of the roof. This included them replacing wood siding on my chimney stack that was rotted.
