I've had a traumatic childhood & I started to panic & just punched him& brushed past him to unlock the doors. Come to find out he made a habit of this with other clients that had hired him. I found out that he had done the same thing to several other women. When I found this out I typed a letter to the Board of Overseers & they wouldn't even investigate the accusation. Btw I had the name of another woman & a client of the next attorney that I found that he had also harassed. Even proof did not get him in trouble! If you're looking for a scam artist look no further! He is by far the most unprofessional attorney you'll ever come across. This attorney will say all of the right things to get your business and then once he's paid, he will ask for another retainer less than a month later. He was hired to JUST modify a parental visitation order, and to represent my 23 year old son for his parental rights, and 5 months later after hiring him there is still nothing in place. For our case, he left my son high and dry the day of the court hearing. He canceled the first hearing and then the night before the next one sent an email at 11pm claiming to be sick. My son flew in from another state for this court hearing and at 11 pm had nowhere to go to print the motion that did not pertain to his case. In this email sent at 11pm 9 hours before court there was a motion that he told my son to present for his case. Nothing in this motion pertained to his case or was about him except his name as the plaintiff and the defendant's name. The motion was written in poor grammar, and was about a middle aged disable man & couple filing for divorce and custody. He put my son's name on the motion, he also did not inform him that the court hearing was at a different court building. Additionally, you cannot take your phone into court, so my son was unable to take this wrong document as proof to the judge to represent himself in court. To say he put absolutely no effort into this case is an understatement. Thousands of dollars later we are completely out of our money. He also stated upon being hired that he does not charge for travel to court and 5 months later he sends a text saying his charges do not include travel. I specifically asked him this and crossed it out as N/A upon hiring him. He is a scam artist! Josiah constantly invoiced requesting more money, yet never produced any results or a bill of time spent on this case to prove that he did $2000 worth of work in 3 weeks for a modification that did not require anything other than him submitting himself as the attorney and filing a modification. If I can save one person from the nightmare that Josiah Weiss (JW Law) has caused my son & family that would be satisfaction enough. I would hate for anyone else to go through the anxiety and suffering that we've gone through trusting this attorney. He has caused more anguish and chaos than help. He claimed that he would refund the additional$500 that he charged outside of $2000 for not being present in court on the most important day of my son's life, who has been fighting relentlessly to get rights to his son. Do not HIRE JW Law....Josiah Weiss! He will say all the right things but will fall completely off the radar! He will tell you his phone wasn't working, he has other clients so he can't call you back, he's sick, and has other family issues as excuses. He is completely UNPROFESSIONAL and that is putting it mildly.
