I've been going off-and-on for close to ten years now, and I've rehabbed a variety of issues: from ankle sprains, to muscle spasms in my back, and even to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. Having been to a number of different physical therapy offices over the years, I am consistently impressed by the quality of my appointments at ProTouch (so much so that I pay out of pocket to go!). A visit to ProTouch will include around 30-45 minutes of one-on-one attention from your therapist. I've had therapists like Scott and Leny work on muscle tightness in my shoulder/back for longer spans of time than I could have paid for at a spa-- and with better results! :) Compare this with the 5-10 minutes of massage that other PT spots provide, and it's no question ProTouch is where you should be booking. As a person who has had a slew of aches, pains, and complaints at a rather young age, it's been disheartening to go to other therapists and be told to do the same series of five basic stretches. The other times I came for sprains or other injuries, but this time it's after tendon surgery on my left foot. Vicki is directly above my podiatrist group downstairs, & can consult with my doctor who did the surgery. I was in a LOT of pain still before I started PT. My dr at Union County Ortho and Kessler are in the same building. The Tuesday evening rehab team is great! My shoulder had been cracking from arthritis and tendonitis. After the very first session, the cracking was almost gone. Monte's team is very caring and want you to feel better. After 6 weeks op PT, returned to the dr, "surgery not needed" unless I have further painful symptoms! success :-) Am going to continue PT for a few more weeks to continue to strengthen the shoulder. If the therapists decide they do not like a child or parent they will not provide full treatment and even give the parent other places to go in order to convince the parent to take the child elsewhere for treatment. I would not recommend this center for treatment especially if you are seeking continued therapy for a child with special needs. I also feel that there behavior was also driven by racial discrimination.
