The quality of care here is greatly ruined by the staff's lack of professionalism. Multiple visits resulted in my discomfort as I was forced to listen to the staff's private conversations while I waited for guidance. These conversations many times involved body shaming and discussion of the practice's staff weight loss challenge. The discussions I heard were nothing short of ignorant and disrespectful. When I tried to speak with the office manager about this, I was told I would receive a callback. I never did. read more

The staff at this location is unprofessional. The therapist allow there own personal views and misconceptions determine treatment plan. The directors do not monitor the therapists interactions with parent and children to ensure the quality of care. If the therapists decide they do not like a child or parent they will not provide full treatment and even give the parent other places to go in order to convince the parent to take the child elsewhere for treatment. I would not recommend this center for treatment especially if you are seeking continued therapy for a child with special needs. I injured my foot and part of the treatment from my doctor included a prescription for physical therapy. I didn't know much, if anything at all, about physical therapy at this time. I did a little basic research, and then decided to pick a facility that was close to home and that had more than just standard office hours, as I was planning on returning to work soon and I couldn't stay committed to bank hour appointments. Evening and weekend availability was a must. I read reviews about facilities that fit my criteria, made some calls, and I decided to give Ivy Rehab a chance. My injury immediately started feeling better. I was overall pleased with the treatment, the service, and the professionalism of the PTs, as well as the assisting staff. To me, every PT I dealt with seemed to be knowledgable and competent. I had a question pertaining to billing and some charges. I called the number I was given, and that was not a positive experience. I was given inaccurate information. However, the frustrating service from the billing department has nothing to do with the treatment. Although I received wonderful care at Ivy Rehabilitation in Cranford NJ, I am reimbursement on co-pays. I have yet to reimbursed and the corporate business office continues to tell me it is still in review. I will never use their services again for this reason. read more

Rushed, OT heat, 2-3 sets repetitive exercises, rub, ice and that's it. PT started out great, heat - but only Luke warm, super rushed for exercises. Massage shorter and shorter each time, ice - not very cold and at first made such progress and then just PAIN for 3-5 days. read more

I came here for a misbehaving knee, after 3 weeks of hoping the rest and knee brace would make it better, as had been recommended on several websites I visited. The knee is a rather complex joint... Finally I could no longer wait for progress. I made an appointment without a diagnosis or prescription or X-Rays or MD recommendation. On my first visit ($125) I was given a stress test to evaluate my knee problem. Second visit ($75) I received an exercise program to strengthen my whole leg. Third visit ($75) I received a pool therapy exercise program. I was told that rest was not what my knee needed. I am happily walking better than I expected and knowing that I am not causing damage to my knee. The staff is friendly respectful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is communal. I am considering joining their wellness program ($90 per month) and if I do I will update my review. read more

Ivy of Cranford is a great place if you need PT. I was having debilitating pain in my back (spasms, sharp stabbing pains, throbbing pain - you name it!) and after just 12 visits I walked out of there feeling great. What's better is that I now have the knowledge to keep me healthy. Because of my work schedule and mommy schedule I rotated through several specialists, Megan, Ryan, Alex and Erica... Each one of them was fantastic. Their was a level of consistency that proved to me that they were working as a team, and yet each one had their own unique style and challenged my abilities. I have a mixed review. I have been using this location since it was Advanced Physical Therapy. The Cranford facility has just been completely renovated. The physical therapist are great as well as those that assist them. What I am not pleased with is the billing department and some of people the front desk staff. If you are using your personal insurance you are fine. I was injured at work and had a workers compensation claim. I call prior to making the appointment to explain it was a different doctor and not my personal insurance. I guess they were hearing me but not listening. After going for almost three weeks someone said is this a workers compensation case? Why was this unclear I had completed their form stating it was work related. I told them this is a new doctor. I completed the questionnaire and completed paperwork and my treatment began. After it was acknowledged as a workers comp. case I had another form to complete and later I was told that my first two visit would not be covered. When I asked why I was told that the date of my prescription was after the two initial visits. My claims adjuster stated she would cover those to visits. So it was imperative on my part to know if the billing department had submitted the charge and been turned down or had not attempted at all. The answer to this day has never been clarified. This visit was in January and this post is October. Last Thursday I dropped of my prescription, but there was a huge meeting. I thought I would here back but didn't get a phone call. I called the next day and everything was set up. I had to wait a week which was disappointing but since I was confident that I was going to receive the best treatment I waited. During my treatment in the winter I kept asking if the billing was resolved? And I was assured not to be concerned they would take care of matters. So I left it in there hands. Over the summer I received a bill. I called but the person I needed to talk with wasn't there. Then I did speak with the person that had to contact a person in billing not located in Cranford. Why is there a middle man? Maybe Ivy Rehab is just to large. Yesterday I go for my visit and I was told no authorization was received from my claims adjuster. I got on the phone and it was fixed in minutes. So I was able to make my appointments. My job is physical so I am completely out until this pt is completed. There is no light duty. So approximately 4:57 pm. I receive a phone call that my Monday appointment has been cancelled. I was there in the office at 8:30am. If I had received a call earlier I could have spoke with my adjuster or case nurse to get this issue resolved. So after using Advanced PT three times and Ivy twice I have to opt out. Initially I was apprehensive about the front desk very different from APT, but I gave them a chance. Calling at the eleventh hour when the patient has no other recourse is not how business is done. So while I will resolve the $105 issue my future business will not be with this company. I need to go where I am listened to so that everything is clear to all parties concerned! Every time I visited the facility the staff members were all very courteous and professional. My therapist was wonderful! My trigger finger did not present itself with typical symptoms, and when traditional therapies were not producing results, Cara went above and beyond to try to help me. She networked and brainstormed with colleagues and came up with alternative methods of treatment. After a few more visits, we had excellent results! As I mentioned previously, my condition did not present itself with typical symptoms, so it was difficult to treat. I can't thank Cara enough, for caring enough, to seek out alternative therapies. I received physical therapy following surgery for an injury and had a positive experience with all aspects of therapy. I found the scheduling convenient, the billing accurate, the PT assistants warm and enthusiastic, but most importantly, competent physical therapists. In a relatively short period of time, the therapists helped me get from a no movement phase to a functioning stage.
