Today my daughter had an appointment to see this…read moredoctor. #1 his office didn't verify the insurance information correctly and was discussing our information in front of other patients. #2 we were referred by a different dr and this was the first time attending so the dr that referred us contacted dr Johnson to let him know the patient he referred was there . What was that for ? Dr Johnson walked out of the back room to the waiting area my daughter and I was sitting and said in front of the other patients "no more calls.. who came here from dr Charlie office ?!" .... I turned around and said "we did "... he yells "you will be seen ... you will be seen ! " . We were confused because there was never a question whether he will see my daughter or not so we didn't understand where he was coming from. I explained to him that the girl couldn't verify our insurance ... he yells Still in front of other patients " well what do you want me to do about that?" . I was so stunned on how he was speaking to us in front of others and the lack of professionalism is not what I expected from a hand surgeon . Again this was the first time at his office and I've never experienced such bad treatment from a doctor. Everything that came out his mouth was Sarcasm ! I got up and told my daughter "let's go " because I will not allow anybody to speak to us this way ! This is not the way a patient should ever be treated or spoken to. Unfortunately I will never return or recommend him because his lack of compassion , respect and professionalism is disappointing .

That Physician Assistant who saw me was absolutely unprofessional, rude and sarcastic. I will never forget his name, Daniel PA at Oasis-Brooklyn Office. This man practice the lowest level of health care and ethical standard. He shows no respect to patient, poor assestment and do not review health records from the my previous Spine Md. Today, which was the second time that he saw me, cale late again.Daniel displaced his anger to the person who assigned pts to exam room. Daniel shows his anger by rushing us to go to the room and as soon as he gets in to the exam room telling me to remove my jacket without even expalining to me what he will do. Unaaceptable behavior and rudenes by telling me your the patient and I am the Physician, which was a lie. He is Physician Assistant. He is telling me how come I dont listen like the other patient that he just saw before me. Oopps, totally wrong, you cannot discuss nor share to me what you just did to other patient. HIPPA violation. Discussing to me he will do an MRI. Another red flag ! I already have an MRI and it is on my file. Overall, unsafe practice for Daniel (Physician Assistant) to be seeing patients. Healthcare is about knowing your patient and safely treat them. Doumentation is another thing but kindly know your patient before going to the exam room. No eye contact to patient which tells me alot of things. Unprofessional and rude. Healthcare has already improved. Do not come to work and tell the Patient, you are the patient and you must do what I say. We are better than that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Daniel (Physician Assistant) and Oasis is accomodating his attitude and unsafe practice. Staff were intimidated when he comes in. This does not exist anymore in healthcare. We the patient have the rights to ask questions and demand explanations, we need to know right treatment. We are own self's advocate.

Since going to Apex orthopedic Rehabilitation, I have had tremendous success. Started out, not being able to move at all. Now, six weeks later I have almost a full range of motion and I am pain-free. Working with Tom and Noah has been a wonderful experience. They are caring and work with you when you're having issues with pain. They change the exercises and activities to help ease that pain. The office staff also includes Kathy who goes out of her way to make sure that you are greeted pleasantly and you can make appointments when you need them. A few too many red flags and incidents with this office to consider as my primary. As a medical…read moreprofessional myself I was taken aback during several interactions with staff and even the doctor. Behaviors and verbal exchanges that would never be nor should ever be tolerated by any medical professional let alone partaking in such actions. In my opinion my impression was I was burdensome and that questions are not welcomed. My opinion is this is not the place for a high level of comprehensive care, patience, nor empathy and I felt the doctor's behavior to be unwelcoming, snarky and off-putting and at times the doctor seemed to get defensive when a question was presented. I felt rushed and doctor seemed to have difficulty multitasking, making eye contact and she even avoided even the smallest of small talk literally by just walking out while awkwardly refusing to engage in a friendly verbal exchange with her patient. It was uncomfortable to witness. I personally don't want to be made to feel that way by anyone in healthCARE let alone by my own care team. Charting should not compromise the patient experience or hinder it in any way or steal time from physical exam and medical history and discussing and listening to a patient about all ongoing issues.
