After my second hip surgery, I was determined to finally get back to 100% and I knew that only the best rehab would get me there. I was overjoyed with the personalized treatment I received at Specialized Physical Therapy. The staff was warm, inviting, and professional, and extremely receptive to learning about my medical history as well as my what I wanted to get out of my therapy. The facilities were ideal for a physical therapy office, with more than adequate space and all equipment necessary for rehabilitation exercises. Both Dan and Michael work to find a course of treatment that will most benefit the patient's specific needs, and are supportive and encouraging when frustrations arise from the patient throughout rehab. It is clear that they form strong bonds with their patients, as I felt they did with me throughout my time at Specialized Physical Therapy. I have had experiences as a patient in many PT facilities, but I found my experience here to be the most personal, as well as the most effective course of treatment. The whole staff is made up of just truly good people. Dan and Mike know what they're doing. I suffered a sports related ankle break and dislocation. I first came into their office 1 month into a boot, with hardly any ability to walk and move on two feet. Throughout my rehab, I really gained an understanding of my injury, and things I can do to better it even after physical therapy. Dan and Mike allowed me to feel comfortable enough to ask questions and comfortable enough to tell them when I needed to slow down the pace of my rehab exercises. These guys are the best and they are honest with you 100%. Mike and Dan Ryan have both treated me after a slew of surgeries on both of my hips, and one of my knees. Mike Ryan has been my physical therapist for at least 8 years, and I have treated with Dan Ryan many times throughout my recovery when my schedule didn't allow me the time with Mike. Always a successful rehabilitation after each of my surgeries. They are a huge help physically, and mentally/emotionally because their personalities will lift you up no matter how your day is going. If you're looking for the best in physical therapy, go no further! After my hip replacement 10 years ago, I was unhappy with the therapy I was getting, and someone referred me to Dan. He is superb! First I got a real evaluation, which hadn't happened, before. Then he devised a plan of action that brought me up to snuff and that also left me with a lot of good advice about moving around, that I still heed, today. He's been treating my deteriorating spine for several years, and keeps me on my feet, gently but firmly -- and with a lot of "homework", to make me take responsibility for my own pain. Michael is as good -- I've watched him work, and have worked with him a few times, over the years. I couldn't recommend them more highly! read more

Having never gone for physical therapy, I really had no idea what to expect, other than some thoughts of a torture chamber and very strict drill sergeants. The good news is that Specialized PT was nothing like that. The staff is excellent and goes above and beyond to help their clients. Mike Ryan is a fountain of knowledge and has been invaluable guiding me through the exercises that are the most beneficial to alleviate the tendinitis in my knees. It is easy to set up appointments. When I first saw Dan I was starting my 9th round of PT, and had worked with 4-5 different practices and 6 doctors over the course of two years. Dan did a thorough examination and was the first therapist to focus on posture and alignment. After 2 weeks I was pain free, and after 6 weeks, I was done with PT for good!!
