The young lady in the office (and, being old and senile, I don't remember her name) who makes the appointment calls and answers the phone is a real asset. The tone she sets with her cheerful and pleasant attitude sets the tone for the call, and creates exactly the first impression that any business wants their customers to experience. We called Locke's on Monday morning, and by 10 am that morning the owner was at our home giving us a quote for a new system. No one likes being in that position, especially during the hottest part of summer, when you're worried about how expensive the repair or replacement might be. Locke's helped us work within our budget and gave us the best value we found. We got several other quotes, but Locke's offered the best combination of price, service, and equipment along with a great team behind the name. Our installation was scheduled for Friday, and the crew arrived at 7:30 a.m. ready to get to work. And work they did -- in 95-degree heat and 130-degree attic temperatures. Three men were on the job all day, and even when a storm moved in near the end of the day and briefly knocked out the power, they kept going and finished the installation. They also cleaned up as they worked, leaving the space neat when they were done. I cannot stress enough how neat and clean they left everything. Once the power came back on, they installed the thermostat and started up the AC. It was blowing cold and running so quietly compared to our old system. Even after the installation was complete, we still had a few questions the next day, and they came back on Saturday and answered everything thoroughly. We've had the system for a week now and are very pleased with both the equipment and Locke's service before, during, and after the installation. We highly recommend Locke's for your HVAC needs. Mine broke in 2 months. It's "just the way it is...not specific to any unit or brand." And the only solution is for them to order the parts and come fix it. $10,000+ and this is the 2nd part that has broken in the 2 months I've had it and it will take 7 days for the part to come in. THEN after a year they will start charging you diagnostic fees for all these repairs. I wish someone had told me ahead of time.
