About 5 years after Dr. Nelligan did my right hip replacement, I had to have the left hip done. By that time Dr. Nelligan had left this area and I had to have a different surgeon do that hip. That surgeon had a five star rating, but there were significant problems that persist to the present. Now it appears that I will need a knee replacement. I just wish Dr. Nelligan was still here. If you can get him as your surgeon, consider yourself to be very fortunate.

He screwed up my ankle surgery so bad that he said he didn't even feel qualified to try and fix it. So I had to go to a specialist far away from here to have the whole surgery done over again this time with a large second incision with double the metal brackets and screws to fix it properly. Not only did I have to pay for his mistake with the second surgery costs but I also spent the first 3 months after Dr Boyd's surgery in pain with awful abnormal swelling around my ankle and lower leg. Then I lost another 4 months recovering after the second surgery when the specialist fixed Dr Boyd's botched surgery due to having to keep it elevated all that time to heal Properly. Dr Boyd admitted to screwing up the surgery but never once apologized or expressed any concerns about what he'd done. He also was very condescending to me when trying to ask him any questions. He hardly spoke to me during my appointments with him so asking questions was the only way I had to know anything about my ankle, surgeries etc. I so highly recommend that you seek a better Doctor for any surgeries you're considering. No one deserves to go through the pain, lost time and financial impact that I went through because of Dr Boyd. Best of luck to you..

I find any person who works for a well establish Dr. should be very careful in how they treat their patients. So, I get two more letters one 'waiting for my response and the next was a bill just under what they owed me by a few cents!' SCAMMERS!!! Two weeks post surgery he had xrays taken. He reviewed these with my husband and I. He did not indicate any possible problem then or during any subsequent appointments. I was unable to straighten the leg. He always insinuated I was not doing the exercises or doing them correctly! A month post surgery he performed a manipulation. Still not straightening and still it was due to me according to him. I sought out TWO other opinions and was told the same by both. The replacement was too big. And manipulations should only be done in legs not bending! I was subjected to another surgery to correct the first one! He should have seen the problem in the xrays, moreover should have known better when performing the replacement. His arrogant attitude was unprofessional and detrimental.
