I had a severe reaction to the med she trialed first which she might have concluded if she had bothered to look at my chart (the other one I was offered was in there as having a similar severe reaction) she then had her med tech (again) say "just go off it and we will see you in 3 months". However, some people are actual healers. Ones who seem to want to help people. See each person as an individual, not a 15 minute appointment. My years of being taken care of by Dr K tells me that she is a healer. She has taken such great care of me and I would recommend her to anyone I truly loved and cared for.

One star is more than UCHealth deserves based on my experience…read more Five weeks ago, I couldn't get an appointment with my primary care physician for what appeared to be Eustachian tube dysfunction and a possible sinus infection. Instead, I saw another physician in the same practice. I was given prescriptions, but there was no follow-up whatsoever to see whether the treatment worked. It didn't. When my symptoms continued, I tried again to see my PCP. There were still no appointments available. I was essentially pushed toward Urgent Care, where I was told by a PA to use Sudafed and Flonase. That advice did nothing to improve my condition. I requested an expedited referral to an ENT because my symptoms were worsening. The first available appointment was October--months away. That is simply unacceptable for an ongoing medical problem. After a second Urgent Care visit, I was finally prescribed antibiotics that began to help. Still, my primary care office never contacted me, never checked whether the original treatment had failed, and never appeared to take ownership of my care. The repeated message was essentially, "Use the app." Ultimately, I sought care from a private ENT. In a single visit, I was prescribed an additional antibiotic and steroids, and I finally began receiving effective treatment. This experience exposed a healthcare system with little continuity of care and virtually no accountability. A primary care practice should coordinate care, advocate for its patients, and follow up when treatment fails. Mine did none of those things. As soon as I find a primary care physician who is actually accessible and willing to manage my healthcare, I will be leaving UCHealth. I doubt my departure will matter to an organization that already seems overwhelmed by more patients than it can effectively serve, but it matters to me. Patients deserve physicians who are available, engaged, and invested in their care--not a system that too often leaves them to navigate their illness alone. I had a medical emergency and was…read moretaken by ambulance to the ER, and he was the doctor assigned to me that day...and I couldn't be happier. We moved here from Chicago, and I had gone through over a dozen neurologists who didn't bother listening to be, or didn't understand the drugs they were prescribing. Dr Adams is kind, thoughtful, and always willing to take the time to listen to any concerns or ideas I might have. If I could take him back to Chicago with me, I might consider moving home... but Dr Adams also referred me to my othet specialists who are just as understanding and wonderful as he is. He is an exceptional human being and physician. You can't possibly go wrong.

Calls are never returned. Requests for prescription renewals have taken weeks or months. Simply getting an appointment is harder than getting an audience with the Pope. If you ask to speak to Adams on the rare occasion that a phone is answered they will transfer you to voice mail or the physicians assistant. In two years of "care" we have actually seen Adams once, after spending two hours in the waiting room. This after a three month wait for an emergency appointment. The final straw has been this week when, after a migraine that lasted ten days, the person answering the phone was rude, demanding my wife say yes or no to a treatment plan which she had no information about. When my wife asked for clarification of what this medicine was, the secretary/nurse said, "I don't need to put up with your rudeness. Do I need to get the office manager on the phone?" My wife said, "sure, I'd love to talk to her," so the woman hung up. We called back and asked to talk to the office manager and was told she was out if the office, yet a call from a friend inside Penrose got the office manager to talk to her five minutes later. Today, after threatening lawsuits if they didn't contact us, the PA finally called my wife, claiming she'd called "several times" and left "many messages" -- do people seriously forget we're in the age of Caller ID? Then she prescribed a medicine. But when I got to the pharmacy I found out it's a federal crime to get this medicine without first receiving it by IV in the office. If I had gotten it, both me and the pharmacist would be committing a felony. And they weren't just rude to us, the pharmacist called the office FOUR times, and never got to the PA or the doctor. Never, ever, ever go to this office. A trip to Denver would be fifty times better than this horrible, horrible place.

The official name of the business is "Kiropraxis" - she has clients in many different states so she is always on the move and in high demand because of her outstanding work in her field. She does not accept insurance, but the price isn't outrageous, and it's worth every penny for how well she treats you and how much better you feel afterwards. She is the closest thing I've found to a miracle worker in this field. I live an hour away and I will continue to see her because she really is that good! Highly recommend her, easy five star review!
