This mall is very large and diverse in styles and eras which I love. No one booth looks like another. The owners and staff are very friendly and are superb at creating a family like atmosphere. You can tell by the happy vendors that this is a spectacular mall to be in. We have a ton of great antique malls in the Pacific Northwest but this one remains my favorite not just because I vend here, but also because it is unique and different from any other mall I have been to. Many of the booths are so large they feel like their own store within the mall. And don't even get me started on the variety of clothes, shoes, and accessories! Not only can you find antique and vintage pieces for your collection, but there are also a ton of hard to find modern styles and pieces as well. If you don't have this mall on your map, you are totally missing out! The variety can't be beat.

I hope it's not true but if it is we came towards close to the very end before they closed for good. There was no indication that the place was heading towards closure at all. The store was filled with totally awesome mid century items. There were a ton of beautiful "atomic" looking lamps that you don't see just anywhere at all. The store was split in two which was slightly odd but we went to a different door and saw more great merchandise. There was even a modest vinyl record selection for sale with some really great albums. Upon entering I talked I believe with the owner or one of them and we had a very fun conversation talking about Italian Art Glass, specifically Murano Art Glass. I wrote these type of items in a registry at the door where it was requested along with my name in hopes of seeing it turn up here. This was a really great place and feel like the owner(s) have a really good eye for what they will stock which apparently comes from estate sales. So yes, I am surprised to see this place closed if it is so but at the same time I'm not as the placement of this kind of store I am not so sure the surrounding area of Lakewood would appreciate it or buy from here. It would have been a better fit in Seattle due to it's quirkiness which people in that city have a much deeper appreciation for. So sad to see they are gone because what they had going on here was great!

The live auctions are really fun, but if you don't want to sit there for 3 hours waiting for your items to go up, then you can sit at home and participate in the live auction from home! There is a 20% fee for online auctions and I think it's like 15% if you're there. Another benefit of physically being there is that some items are only offered AT the auction. I don't know why...maybe last minute items? Anywho...it's really fun and you'll never shop at a regular antique store ever again!

The lady behind the counter asked me do you have a mask. But right next to her was a man with no mask. I said, no but neither does he. And she looked at him and then told me, well you need a mask. I said, are you going to tell him that. She just stared at me and I stared at her. So I put my stuff down and went to get my mom. As we left, she was telling him how I said no and he doesn't. And they chuckled. So I said, what's so funny the white worker just told the Mexican girl to wear a mask and not the white guy who also is not wearing a mask. I will never go back.

We had our coffee in hand and our boys had a bag of crackers. We walked in the door just after another family and there were 3 employees I'm assuming, that were standing around the front counter. The lady behind the counter immediately told us that we could not have our food/drinks in their store. I have never gone to an antique store where food and drinks were unacceptable to walk around with. but ok. I DID find it discriminating because my family is biracial and the family that walked in the store just before us was Caucasian and had a daughter with a juice box and a snack in a Ziploc bag. wth? This store is definitely the definition of unique and quirky for South Tacoma Way as they have a wide range of unique and intriguing merchandise. From wearable hats to items more on the home decor side of things Glumdrop really offers something to this area that is much needed. It's a fun place to go and the staff is super friendly so it's definitely worth paying a visit!
