They also sent the rental car confirmation and told us to take the car into the shop we chose. Went to pickup the rental car and was advised that ALLSTATE will not pay the rental car place as it would be reimbursement only. THAT entails a $300 deposit and excess fees that I am responsible for. What they want to pay is for a compact car-which is not even remotely CLOSE to what i normally drive and yet still reimburse me not pay Enterprise directly. Had THEIR INSURED not ran his car into MY DRIVEWAY and HIT MY CAR this would not have been an issue. This is ridiculous. And Enterprise says this is not just me it is all of ALLSTATE that does this. From ALLSTATEs website: You can typically choose where to rent a vehicle, but some insurers partner with specific rental car companies. If you rent a vehicle from a company that has an agreement with your insurer, the rental car company may bill the insurance company directly, helping prevent you from paying out of pocket. If your rental company is not in your auto insurance company's network, you'll likely need to pay upfront for the rental car and then request reimbursement from your insurer. This would lead me to believe that Allstate does not have an agreement with any rental car companies and are continuing to "reimburse" people who have filed a claim against their company. Rep said several times that they had accepted liability yet here I am without a vehicle at no fault of my own.
