I have a auto loan with them. My rate is much lower than the others at the time of getting quotes. Have had zero issues with them. Been overall an easy place to work with. Second part is the people behind this credit union. I used to think the days of local business reaching out into the community was a thing of the past and long gone. Richard though proved that so wrong. He heard our local 11s volleyball club PSVBA, were looking for some support in getting our kiddos to Nationals (which is another story all together, first year these girls have all played together. Such an accomplishment already) anyway... Richard stepped up the branch Manager at this location also stepped up. They not only offered up a great location for a car wash fundraiser, Richard involved other local business like Walmart which donated a ton of supplies. On top of this Richard and some of the branch employees like the branch Manager came out and cleaned cars with us! Truly this credit union has earned not just a customer but a big fan of Richard and Tapco as a whole for life! If I could this would be the one 6 star review I would give!

Customer service here is atrocious. I had to repeat myself multiple times to several workers that I…read moredid not have a debit card to make a deposit, and was told to just "go to the ATM". I was also told that I could not deposit a check written out to me and my partner because it needed two signatures (sure, that is understandable)..the weirdness began the staff member started mentioning title fraud and insurance deposit fraud. Those two issues have absolutely nothing to do with me, and even remotely insinuating I would be committing fraud of any sort was extremely tacky, and uncomfortable. There is no reason to mention fraud to me, when my check was written out to me and I provided my enhanced driver's license as proof of identification. I will never be returning to this branch, and was never treated like a criminal attempting fraud at the Kirkland branch. I will also be taking my banking elsewhere and will be promptly closing my account at another location. I initially chose BECU because I wanted to support a local company, but my experience was embarrassing and horrible. I bank with a major brokerage company, and they on the other hand have never treated me this way, and are always professional and courteous, unlike the staff member Terri R at this branch.

THey have a copy of our trust on file. My wife passed and I attempted to deposit a modest refund of a medicare supplement policy, made out to: " Est. of first Last Name". If you have a Trust, Mr & Mrs. in the event of ones death, then becomes the Trustee for the other. Legally, I could sign "my First Last Name, Trustee for the Estate of Mrs. "First Last Name." If you are operating a bank or a CU, someone with expert legal knowledge should be available during normal hours. Even the person they called did not understand this BASIC legal fact.

They screwed up my auto loan payment and charged me $200 more than my monthly payment first of all...and now I have to wait on them to process that refund amount when I already spoke to them about the issue LAST WEEK. Today when I called there was a payment that was incorrect again that auto drafted out of the account cleaning out our checking account on payday...I requested a stop payment and they said it would cost $32 to request a stop payment...WELLS FARGO does that for free and you can do it on their website. When they mess with your finances, and put you in a position where you get paid and are immediately short funds and are already dealing with financial hardship and filing for bankruptcy so things are already tight, then they refuse to help prevent a creditor from withdrawing funds, when that creditor knows you're filing for bankruptcy and shouldn't even be charging your autopay anymore, then sound won't help unless you pay a fee, that's a massive problem...you can dispute a transaction for free but you can't stop a payment that shouldn't be going through. I am absolutely fed up. I do not feel protected by this bank. I do not feel as though they have been helpful in any way. We are struggling and there only option is for you to pay them to prevent further issues it's just ridiculous and feels predatory when you're someone going through major hardship.
