Given my love of photography, my wife put me in charge of finding the perfect photographer for our wedding. We interviewed A LOT of respectable photographers along the Gulf Coast and reviewed just about everyone's portfolio in detail. I could not have been happier with our decision. Tammy and Jason have this down to a true art. Tammy has a lot of fun with the babies and making them smile while Jason is scanning the group to make sure people are visible and in flattering positions. They do it so seamlessly. Our formal portraits were a blast! They are so engaging and fun for all three events they did for us. You can tell this is not just a job for them, but they live and love this life. Their equipment is also top notch. Between the cameras (and backup cameras), the lighting, and their comm system they will not only take great pictures, but help you and the coordinator to make sure your wedding is PERFECT. Since both families live in Baldwin County, they decided to have their wedding here. When we started looking for a venue, we were having a challenging time looking for the perfect place and a reasonable price. Until one day my co-worker told me she went to a wedding at Waters Edge, I right away went online and checked them. I decided to call and make an appointment. We met with Anita, she showed us around the place, and it was perfect they have a gorgeous establishment, covered pavilion with a fireplace for an outside ceremony and on the walkway to the pavilion there is an iron arbor that can be decorated on the day of the event. The property was big enough that you can choose anywhere on the property to have your ceremony. We then went to the reception area (barn) the place was very accommodating with lots of room and a nice bar. It has a rustic look with lots of old memorabilia. We sat with Anita, and we talked about everything that we needed to know. She was very knowledgeable and experienced with events. We discussed our options as a family, and we decided to go with Waters Edge. As the mother of bride, I had so much on my mind and worried about everything after talking with Anita, she made me feel at ease and assured me that she would help us give our daughter an elegant and very memorable wedding for our princess. We met every month to discuss our progress towards the event. At every meeting we discussed what needed to get done. Anita made recommendations for us to adjust as time progressed, she kept me and my daughter on our toes. She was very pleasant to work with and accommodating to all our needs. Anita and her team were amazing!! Also want to say thank you to the bartender Rebecca, her staff and our Disc Jockey (Anita's husband) for keeping the drinks and music going and accommodating our family and designated friends with special drink requests!! She is responsive, professional, understanding, resourceful, knowledgeable, organized, and somehow extremely calming despite how hectic wedding planning can be! I don't know how she does it all and doesn't show any stress! My wedding was in Fairhope but I was in Tuscaloosa finishing up grad school, recently diagnosed with a chronic illness, which meant planning was much more hands off than I had originally hoped. However, Jenna learned enough about what my husband and I cared about and envisioned for our wedding weekend and she went above and beyond anything we could have come up with. She was an incredible listener and always efficient. Jenna is a true PRO / event planning GENIUS and she will make your wedding dreams come to life within your budget and timeframe!!!! She has an amazing eye to the point that the entire weekend felt cohesive, almost like a romantic story.
