A must stop visit when in Marathon! This place was off the chart family fun. Myself (50) and my three kids (17 to 27) reserved the a hour, and as beginners were able to get up and have some great fun! The instructors are funny, give great advice, and make the whole experience worth the trip. Plus they've got a cool outdoor area with Cornhole, chair swings, bar, and great garden area surrounding it all! Kids couldn't stop talking about it so I highly recommend doing this! Such a fun find while we were staying at Hawks Cay! My two teens loved the inflatable course and my husband and I loved the beer garden. Wish we had been hungry bc the food looked amazing. Awesome wake board park featuring, wake-boarding, local vendor spaces, a sustainable garden, a lumber space, a bar, food truck, a stage for live performances/featured djs, and walking trails. They are also adding Murals and an art gallery in the containers that are on the property. I met the owners and they are the nicest ppl you can ever meet.. they said they have plans to further develpe the park to offer even more... the best part is that the space focusing on sustainable ways to operate.. so its run mostly on solar power, they recycle everything, and they have a goal for it to eventually create zero waste. They even ask that you bring to plastics on site and also ask you to either bring your own cup or "rent" one of theirs. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Just had the best time wakeboarding and wake surfing. Luke was amazing and so helpful. We went right when they opened at 11 AM and I was able to go out by myself for a full hour. Such a great spot right off the road you would never know it was there. And obviously I had to get a beer after. GREAT SPOT YOU HAVE TO VISIT! I am an experienced wakeboarder but this would be such a great place for someone to learn for their first time. Can't brag enough about KCP and Luke! One of the Keys best kept secrets for off but on the water fun. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Great for beginners and pros. Staff took extra time with our little one and got him wake boarding first day. I can't say enough about this place and the crew that works there. We stopped in on our way down to Key West. This was a perfect way to break up the long drive. Water was clear and warm. The hour session came with an encouraging instructor who gave pointers and suggestions throughout the time. We opted for an hour, which was more than enough time to wear us out! We rented the wake board park for an hour over the Thanksgiving break and had a blast! It was myself and my three sons ages 6, 9 and 12 and everyone said it was their favorite activity of the trip. The three guys that run the place were so helpful. I included a picture of my 6 year old who was learning how to get up and they were right there with the paddle board walking him through each step. Luke thought it was fun just riding around on the paddle board. It was a really fun and positive experience for our family. I just wish we could have stayed another hour! read more

TK was an excellent teacher! cocoa was the best doggie too. We spent an hour taking lessons and had a great successful adventure. He helped my son have a beautiful day and created that stoke I'd really hoped for. We both learned new skills that had us beaming with delight! We had the BEST DAY at Keys Cable today!! We come to the keys every July and, for one reason or another, we've never made it to this facility. Today, we added it to the list of our MUST DO activities. Never again will we come to the keys without spending a day here. Our group of 7 consisted of 3 teenage boys (14 & 15) and adults ranging in age from 37 to 60ish and we ALL boarded and ALL had a blast! We opted to reserve a private cable for 3 hours and we could have easily stayed all day! Our guide/operator Joe was awesome and took such good care of us. Keys cable park Matt Sexer Just had my first experience on Matt's park. When I walked in, I was a bit skeptical about the two point tower systems they use. I had been on full size cable parks before and I wasn't sure his system would work the same way. I was wrong. Right off the bat, the first thing I noticed is that the pull feels great. Very consistent and much more forgiving on the turns. Also, when I fell, they would stop the cable and bring it back to me so I could take off from where I fell. This allowed me to go for tricks more consistently. Usually, on a cable park, you try tricks very close to the take off platform so that if you fall, it doesn't take you long to get back on the cable. The takeoff area is only about 30% off the whole ride, so the rest of the time, you are holding on to the line spending unnecessary energy and if you fall away from the starting platform you have to walk back, which is not so fun. Before I experienced this park, I could barely land raileys on a full size cable park. Today, I was able to land multiple raleys and backrolls. I also hit the kicker and slider. In the slider, I even landed a board slide with 360 handle pass. All of this in less than an hour. If you are into freestyle, wakeboarding or kiteboarding, this will be your gym and the staff is great! I highly suggest to get the day pass. It's only $65 and you can as much as you want. They accept credit cards and provide all the gear you need. If you come down to the Keys, you'd be CRAZY not to give this park a GO. Thanks again to Matt and Gabe! This park is the absolute best place to spend a few hours with or without your children. My son never wake boarded before and they made him comfortable from the entrance.. One of the partners in the business, Mathew, even helped instruct all the first time kids to accelerate their learning curve and make it the best experience of their keys trip! I took my 20-year-old daughter and her friend to Keys Cable because we needed to do something different. They were bored with our vacation, we had done "everything"in the preceding 12 days, and we were starting to bicker a lot. I saw Keys Cable, stopped and talked to one of the partners -- I wish I could remember her name. She was so awesome! I went back to our hotel and picked up the girls. The only way I could get them to do it was to say I would go first. I'm 54 and got up on the board right away. Let me tell you - I'm no rock star athlete. The instruction was really good and the cable system makes it easy. Our lesson was with that same young woman and her 10-year-old son. What fun they made it! We laughed so hard and had the very best time. We also bought really excellent honey from them, since the owners also have an organic farming business. I sent some to my father and he was VERY impressed. I consider him a real honey connoisseur - he usually only eats sour wood honey and had his own apiary for years. If you like history, be sure to ask lots of questions about the facility. You'll never meet nicer people and the epitome of successful entrepreneurship! Great time. We had a WONDERFUL experience at Keys Cable. We were a party of four (two more advanced riders and two more novice riders) and rented the advanced circuit. Our coach, Mike, was patient, encouraging, and knowledgable and was a phenomenal coach. He coached the more beginner riders through the advanced circuit (we avoided all of the jumps) and he keenly observed the strengths of the more advanced riders and helped them take their riding to the next level. The equipment was in great condition, had plenty of selection, and all of the employees were professional, safety-oriented, considerate and attentive. We were thoroughly impressed, and would recommend it to families, advanced riders, groups, tourists, and locals. Keep up the great work, Keys Cable! read more

Exceptional; the best word I can find for Matt and all his staff (thanks to Joe/Luke for instruction today!) at Keys Cable Park. Not only are they excellent instructors, they are a wealth of knowledge about water sports. With no prior board sports experience, they had me riding & comfortably doing transitions in preparation for kiteboarding in one session. It was so much fun. Additionally, Matt and his staff are building a truly impressive property which is solar powered, has one of the most impressive edible gardens I've ever seen, and will undoubtedly be an outstanding restaurant/beer garden when finished. I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing the progress as well as working with the instructors here in the near future. read more

Terrible service. We came from Miami, four riders, just looking to have a good time. We were told that an hour of riding EACH would be $35. Once on the dock we discover that we only had one for the four of us. So 15' each. First misunderstanding. Can happen, but then they could have told us that for $42 each we could have extended for 2 hours. They knew we came all the way down from Miami. They didn't even propose other options for us. So here we are, riding only a few minutes, but one of our friend is riding and ask us for some advice to - eventually- take a ramp. The operator screems at her "if you try I'll stop the cable". I get that those operator are responsible and are worried about safety, but this is not how you talk to people. She wasn't even gonn try it yet, she just wanted some advice. The guy was so rude to her that we ended up leaving. Definitely not a good experience. read more

Very pleased. We did the $199 private for three kids 9,11,12 who had never wakeboarded. Staff were super friendly and good talking with parents and joking around with the kids. JUST DO IT!!! This was one of the best family experiences we've ever had. One of my sons (13) is somewhat of a dare-devil, but my other (15) is more cautious...he wanted NOTHING to do with this so he made me go first...its so easy even for a 50 something. To make it more appealing I reserved private time and our instructor, Shai totally ROCKED. Me, my wife, both my kids and the operator Shai had a great time. My oldest even tried the jump on his second run! Afterwards the owner gave us great restaurant recommendations, beach recommendations and was soooo nice we just wanted to hang all day...but we had more adventures ahead and had to leave. We created lifetime family memories that I assure you will be talked about for years to come. Take the plunge and have fun...it'll be one of the best experiences you'll have and is VERY fairly priced. I HIGHLY recommend this as a must do when even CLOSE to Keys Cable. read more

This place is so fun. They have one cable system that is great for beginners. If you have any water sport experience at all, you will get up. I hadn't wakeboarded in 15 years and I got up my first try. The instructors are super friendly and really helpful. Then they have an advanced cable system with lots of jump features that my husband really enjoyed. The water is refreshing and clear. All in all, this is a great, unique activity if you are visiting the middle keys. read more

I was staying at the Jolly Roger across the street and called to inquire about the place. Nate answered the phone and immediately had me stoked to come wakeboard! I simply walked across the street and was welcomed right away and in the water before I knew it! I've got some experience, but with Nate's simple and awesome instructions, I was doing lap after lap properly and having the time of my life within minutes! We had hoped to do a kiteboarding lesson with Otherside Board Sports, but it was cancelled due to lack of wind. Keys Cable is a sister business to Otherside, and we were suggested to do some runs on their kiteboarding simulator. It was well worth the $180. My kiteboarding level is beginner, and my girlfriend had no experience. I had been stuck on water starts in my lessons. Matt, one of the owners/instructors had us both getting up successfully at the very first run, and he broke down the techniques as they apply to kiteboarding. With all the moving parts required in kiteboarding, it was great to be able to concentrate on board techniques on the water without having to worry about the kite. We're coming back for kiteboarding lessons when the wind is up, and I feel they will be much more effective with the knowledge and practice from the session at Keys Cable. Matt also is one of Otherside's instructors, so hopefully we'll have him for that lesson as well. The guy has significant experience, has a great teaching style and personality, and is passionate about his work, which extends beyond the kiteboarding to the negative carbon print permaculture living model he and his partners are developing on the same property. If your not into kiteboarding, it's still a great time, and they have a wakeboarding section as well. Overall I would recommend the experience enthusiastically. read more

Incredible cable park! The people that work there are really skilled riders and offer individualized instruction that helped me progress leaps. I've never experienced this at any other cable park before. The riding setup is unique- you get an uninterrupted solo session so you can continue to work on/throw tricks without fear of having to walk across a lake and stand in line to ride again ( they bring the handle to you to restart each time you go down). Super happy I traveled across the country to visit here. Will definitely return and recommend this to all levels of riders! Can't thank the crew enough! read more

We took our 6, 8, and 10 year old kids and they had a blast. It might be a bit too much for those less than 8 yrs old or so, as it takes some diligence to learn how to stand up and each kid took a few face plants into the salt water before they got the hang of it. The service and professionalism of the people who work at Keys Cable was top notch. We reserved the day before for a 1 hour private lesson. The kids were on the plain line (no jumps) and there was an instructor on a paddle board right next to them talking them thru the steps. The equipment was in good condition and the kids had a blast.
