The woman who checked us in was wonderful! The one who checked us out... Not so wonderful. My partner was walking our dog and she (Barb,if that is her real name that she gave him) walked up on him. She made contact with him and started asking him questions about our dog, where we stayed, etc. She left and came back. She proceeded to say there was a pet fee of $15 in cash. The woman who checked us in made no mention of a pet fee or it being in cash and hotels. Com made no mention of a pet fee. My partner and her got into it about the need of it being in cash and him not having cash. Barb was very rude and unwelcoming. She treated us as if we were criminals or low down scum. It was disheartening. Also, upon fighting over getting a receipt over this supposed fee, she gave us a receipt that had the wrong credit card on it. It states the last four of a card we do not have as well as the type (Mastercard). The receipt we got for the fee was not very official either. This shows how unorganized and unprofessional this place really is. I guess that Tatiana was correct about her rating in 2015. Nothing since has changed apparently. PSA to anyone who stayed there that has a Mastercard, check to make sure you weren't overcharged.

She told me to come right over and allowed me to checkout their rooms before booking. Immediately, just from the lobby/ I could tell this hotel was 1000x nicer and cleaner. The hotel itself is a bit older (some peeling paint/wall paper) in the room, but it was clean, the furniture was in good condition and the linens looked fresh. It was such a relief. Very thankful for the kindness and professionalism of the staff here. They were willing to help me out of a nightmare. I did not end up staying here after all, as I had another opportunity- but I absolutely would have.

Service was hit or miss and we had to send things back a couple of times. Arrington's on the other hand was absolutely fantastic. I wish I could have tried everything on their menu! I considered the breakfast buffet overpriced for the offerings. Staying at Pursell, the walls are thin. I could hear everything from the floors above me. Some parts of my room were not cleaned adequately enough. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and they listened to my concerns. Rented a meeting room where our items got pulled too soon before our reservation was complete and we could have used more assistance on the technology side when we arrived. Every employee was kind and personable. Seeing the cows was fun. Next time I come by I would love to check out their shooting range and play a round of golf. Recommend for a nice weekend getaway. Definitely eat at Arrington's.

The paper thin comforter had orange marker on it, the paper on the hotel phone had black mold growing, the wall next to the bathroom had black smears on it, the tv didn't work, the trash can had a giant hole in the side of it, the sink was missing the drain hardware, the dresser was missing the handles, the tub had rust stains, there was black hair on the bathroom door... we literally walked in and walked out. Not as advertised. I couldn't fathom sleeping in those sheets or bathing in that tub. The Kicker.... There was a hand written note and envelope left by the maid that said "please don't flush paper towels down the toilet, and leave your tip in this envelope." Mind blown. There are only three hotels in this town- and this is definitely the WORST. I went right over to the other two afterwards and checked their rooms before booking. This was the bottom of the barrel for sure. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. Only positive, the woman at the front desk was very lovely. She needs to know her worth and find work elsewhere.

When I went to make my complain't at the front desk window, she told me there wasn't anything she could do but asked to take pictures of the pictures I took to shower her house keeper, but then tried to make it out like I was lying because of the time it said I took my picture on my phone?? Not to mention the locks on multiple rooms didn't even lock according to another lady, who had a toddler, who paid for a room as well! She literally went to her bathroom for a split second and her toddler ran out to the parking lot because their door didnt have a lock on it! It's most DEFINITELY over priced to stay there no doubt! so here I am out of $75 because the folks running the motel obviously doesn't know how to run the motel. Im not posting this out of spite or hate because of how I was treated. Im posting this because this is a true event i had to experience and deal with and I hope nobody else has to experience that awful nasty stay. They also tell you that you cannot have any company there either, which yes, i can understand to an extent on some levels, but they literally watch your room from their cameras to see if anyone has any company coming by or not. if they were worried about THEIR JOB and CLEANING duties rather than who you have coming to your room then they might not have as many bad reviews or complaints. First room 27 was very clean no bed bugs only seeen 3 small roaches in a week that I had the room. But that could of been from somebody bringing them there. They always gave me clean towels and tissues they took my trash out a lot of me which was a huge help for me so I didn't have to keep walking out side with 4 small kids in the cold everything in the room worked good The water was hot to take a bathe and shower. HUGE vanity, with hairdryer on the wall, tons of towels. large ironing board comes off the wall safely, with iron. heater, A/C unit works great, 2 landline phones, wakeup call. park right at the door to room, restaurants, walmart, publix ...all nearby plus very close to Home Depot. stayed twice recently, 1st time was super clean room, not 2nd time but maybe someone trashed it. maid had emergency or sick.
