We were scammed. We…read morebooked a boat rental with this company **six months in advance**, so we were extremely disappointed when we arrived and were told our reserved boat had broken down. Ray offered us a larger boat at the same price, and we signed a contract for the replacement boat covering the same **three-day rental period** as our original reservation. However, at the end of the **first day**, we were unexpectedly told that we only had the larger boat for one day because it had already been rented to someone else. This was the first time anyone had mentioned that, despite the contract we had signed. Ray and Barbara told us they would try to find us another boat and give us a call. We never received a phone call or any follow-up. The situation became even more frustrating when we requested a refund for the days we were unable to use a boat. Barbara initially told us we would be able to receive a refund, but after that it became very difficult to get answers. Ray would not return or answer our phone calls. While trying to resolve the issue, we went to Duck Key Marina, where the company was previously located. We were told that similar situations had happened to other customers in the past. We understand that mechanical problems happen, and we would have been understanding if the situation had been handled professionally. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, failure to honor the signed rental agreement, and difficulty obtaining a refund turned what should have been a great vacation into a very frustrating experience. I cannot recommend this company based on how our reservation and refund were handled.

The captain and crew were very friendly and energetic throughout the experience, which helped calm my nerves. The water was absolutely gorgeous and clear, but the creatures under the water were a little mundane towards the end of the hour. I saw some cool fish like parrot fish, and a few nurse sharks, but near the end, it got a little repetitive. Luckily, we only spent around an hour in that area so it was a very short-lived boredom. When we went to the sandbar, I'll admit it wasn't the best. The water was really dirty (brownish) and there wasn't much sandbar to walk on. However, the lily pad attached to the boat was super relaxing to chill on, and we had some stingrays and nurse sharks pass us by. Overall, a great experience with a lovely crew. Knowledgeable staff that quickly go over the details of the boat like, safety requirements, propeller condition, fire extinguisher, shallow areas to avoid. 4. Well maintained fleet. We rented 4 different boats over the course of two weeks and we didn't experience a single issue. Turn key operation every time. All the electronics worked too, the radio, the GPS, the fish finder etc... Even the hulls are well maintained with very little marine growth which helps with fuel efficiency and top end speed. 5. Well stocked store. You can get everything you may need right there. From ice to chum, squid, basic tackle, snacks etc.... 6. Best part is the staff. I don't have all the names but I interacted mainly with Steven, Jay and the queen of customer service TONY!!!!! I can't say enough about this group. I've watched them interact with people of all walks of life and budgets and ethnicities. They treated everyone exactly the same even those that don't speak the language. It was very cool to see Steven using google translate to communicate with none English speaking customers. That most have been frustrating but they did it anyway. You'd think this is the standard but I can honestly tell you that this is not the case everywhere you go....sadly. Constructive criticism 1. I wished they had a way to store basic customers information so you wouldn't have to waste time with the paperwork every time you rented a vessel. Or streamline the process a bit more . I am sure it's a very small percentage of customers if any that actually read that many pages. After many messages and weeks later, it was pretty clear they had no intent on refunding our almost $700. In the end I filed a dispute with our credit card company, where he claimed we received the services and I was basically lying. I provided phone messages he left with our office, phone records proving our timeline, day/time stamped text messages, and Yelp reviews showing he'd done the same thing to other people. In the end won the dispute, but I've seen on here that some weren't so fortunate. Don't believe them when they tell you they'll refund your money, even if they're cancelling on you. Don't pre-pay for this trip. I will never recommend such a shady business to anyone. Just shameful.
