I ordered this through Uber and Uber claimed this was a portion issue. No it's clearly a false advertisement issue. They would not refund me any of my money. I was supposed to get chicken strips, but I got two strips and the rest nuggets. They clearly ran out of food, considering the five fries they gave me. Don't order this bucket for one. It is not worth the price. I paid $15 for this. This is a rip off false advertisement and Uber refuses to hold them accountable. I will not be ordering from this KFC or Uber again. Oh, and to top it all off, the food was cold. DON'T GIVE THIS KFC BUSINESS. Unknowledgable employee put words in my mouth and gave me a bag filled with 3 containers that had lids not closed all the way. One was full of gravy. Lets go back to the beginning. I ordered a chicken little combo, no pickles. Substitute the wedges for mash potatos and can you make the drink a large? Usually, they charge me 20 cents to upgrade, i told the employee. She puts a small cup on counter, charges me and walks away. 5 minutes later, I have chicken littles with pickles, a bag full of large containers with unsecured lids and still no large cup. Decided on KFC for dinner since it's National Fried Chicken Day, went through the drive-thru since it had been a long day out in the heat. Mistake there... it took us a long time to order since we rarely eat KFC. We decided on the $5 Zinger box that comes w/a side, drink and cookie. Ordered cole slaw and a soda for the drink. Son ordered Popcorn Chicken Combo w/Potato Wedges and a soda. When I got to the window I asked the girl if the Iced Tea was fresh brewed.... she didn't seem to understand and asked if I meant the Raspberry Tea in the fountain. I said no the other two canisters next to it. She replied yes, fresh brewed. So I asked if I could change my soda to an iced tea - I could see the drinks weren't sitting waiting so I didn't see an issue. We received our drinks and order and left for families house in the area - 12min away. Once there my son realized his order was wrong and I tasted my tea that had no ice in it. My tea was horrid tasted like old tea or possibly a container that hadn't been cleaned. We decided to go back to the restaurant and get the correct food...going inside this time. One worker was busy cleaning the dining area floors, the drive thru girl was busy there and no one else noticed us for a few. Long enough I looked around and noticed the floors in the kitchen were filthy with food all over. Finally someone came to help us. They remade my sons Chicken portion of his order, we actually waited while they cooked it - so his chicken was fresh and hot but potato wedges and my zinger were not fresh. I explained the issue with the tea and was asked if I wanted something else to drink - I declined a replacement and we left for the house again. The food was just eh, fill the void type food....something I feel food shouldn't be. Food should be enjoyed, not just a fuel. I went to KFC for dinner and I ordered 4 pieces of grilled chicken. First off they only gave me 2 pieces of grilled chicken. Second, the two pieces that they gave me was burnt and dry. Purchased 3 chicken sandwich meals today 7/27/19 and the potato wedges in all 3 meals were disgusting. Looked like they were from yesterday and re-fried again today. Hard, darker than normal and unable to even eat them. Threw them away. Called to let them know I was dissatisfied and all I was told was they would make sure they only served fresh ones. Well I have nothing but good things to say about there food, have never had a problem. But like they say, you can't make everyone happy. This place is on the ball, food is great and believe me I like chicken. I would drive all the way to Atwater to get my chicken, Merced KFC sucked all the way around. Now closed, I wonder why? The staff is on the Ball and always has a smile, tables, floors, bathroom, always clean. So give it a try and it well worth the drive to Atwater. Only suggestion I have, they need a ice cream machine. Don't hurt to ask. You won't be disappointed and if you are, talk to the manager, she is very open minded and ready for any suggestion.
