KFC has got to be kidding me. Not only they don't offer Crispy anymore, they offer the smallest chicken in the business. This is not the KFC of the 70s, 80s or even 90s. The Colonel would be rolling in his grave if he knew how KFC is today. The mash potatoes with gravy was good. The Coleslaw while not dripping with sauce was fresh. Hmmm.....I don't know what's going on with KFC these days. As a chicken staple in the community, I expect more than what I received. I ordered the family bucket (original), with the two sides (mac and cheese & mashed potatoes), and drinks. The best part of this meal was the drinks! The mac and cheese looked like all the leftover mac & cheese's from the nights before. Just awful. Not aesthetically pleasing at all so everyone was afraid to try it. The mashed potatoes were bland, and even with the carafe of gravy, adding salt and pepper from home, still just no flavor. Finally, the coup de grace, the chicken. So I don't know if the other chicken I order from other restaurants is on steroids or if KFC is cooking birds now, and not chicken because these wings look like they belong on a Barbie doll plate! They are so small. On the other hand, the breast is enormous so where are these parts coming from because they couldn't have come off the same bird. The chicken is greasy, and just had a smidgen of the flavor it used to have. Did they take out one of the ingredients? I don't know, and I don't care. I don't care if you have to put some seasoning salt on it. I just want it to taste good, I don't eat here every day! Needless to say, KFC is not KFC-ing anymore. I walked in on Friday and ordered three meals. They could not give a receipt because machine was not working (I have a video showing the counter lady confirming this). When I got home the order was wrong. My wife took up the wrong part to get it exchanged. When she went thru drive thru the lady was rude and said they always give receipts. My wife just wanted her order fixed. The lady then called the police because she was trying to commit fraud. Four Balch Spring police officers showed up. They were a little frustrated also to be called for something like this also. They tried to help her but the manager on duty would not do anything. They did give us a number because they were told it was the owner and he would take care of us his name was Alex. When we spoke to Alex he said he would give us a refund and replace the order. When my wife went up to the store the drive thru lady was rude again. We then called Alex again and he called the store to get it fixed. But when they brought out the food they did not give a refund and were told not till Alex said to do it. When my wife and I called and texted back Alex we realized he blocked us. I was amazed that an owner would not follow thru and then block a customer. So I went back up to the store. The two things I saw was that Alex is NOT the owner and they would not give me any information for the owner. After looking at reviews online I decided to post my review also. My wife was really upset when I was treated really nice when I went up and she was treated bad because I am white and she is black that is the perception she got. I can not disagree either because if it is was me I do not see them calling police because I asked just as many questions as she did and was very upset also at that point when I found out we were lied to. read more

To be quite fair I typically don't yelp generic fast food chains. I stopped here on my way home about an hour ago just to try the mac & cheese bowl. I got and original, and a spicy one. I mean it was ok (the original one). Not bad, but also not good, just ok. The spicy bowl was not palatable at all. Weird tasting, and oily as hell, and i mean SWIMMING IN HOT OIL. If you want chicken, this place is fine but if you are looking for KFC flavors & style, keep driving. The original NEVER has the battered texture or flavor it should have. None of it taste like KFC.
