However, I was in Cincinnati for the night for work and by the time we wrapped our event my dining options were not exactly plentiful. I figured this would be a convenient time to try them so I went ahead and entered their location into my maps and went to their website to order ahead of time so I could really just jump in and out. Ordering was not difficult though I was honestly a little surprised and how small the menu was. Do a few things and do them well, I would imagine is their motto! I ended up ordering the 4 piece combo and was told it would be ready in 10. I made my way over there with a few minutes to spare. This location does not have a drive thru and is in the bottom level of a larger building so I had to find a place to park to run in. This was surprisingly NOT easy on 10pm on a Wednesday night but I finally managed to get a standing spot (which imagine was dedicated for food delivery person pick up). I ran inside and it was packed with a super long line and a ton of people waiting. I was even happier that I had ordered ahead of time and looked to their online order pick up shelves. They were empty though the staff was calling out names and handing out bags of food so I thought, "oh it's busy and mine just isn't ready yet. I'll wait." And I waited. And waited. And waited. My bad for not going up to the counter sooner but the line was so long I didn't want to wait there and I didn't want to jump in front of anyone just to ask (I'm polite, OK?). But after a few minutes I got antsy and just went ahead and did the "PSST!" thing to the cashier between customers. And yes, of course, my meal was ready. Had been for some time, right behind the counter. I grabbed it filled my beverage and made my way back out. Back at my hotel I dug in and found that because of the wait it had gotten a bit cold and the fries and texas toast had gotten a bit soggy. Somehow, however, the chicken maintained some crunch and I found it to be quite good. I imagine if I were to have gotten it fresh out of the fryer and eaten it onsite I would have enjoyed it much more. As it was, however, it was perfectly serviceable fast food, but it didn't quite make me understand the hype. I'm willing to try it again, though!

My ex-husband's band played in Cincy every other month and Skyline was always a stop on those trips. Not a bean lover? Don't worry, they've got you covered. Don't get me started on those deliciously golden fries that come in classic, cheese and chili cheese. Dare I say woo-wee again? I do dare. Prefer a sandwich? I suggest the chili cheese sandwich. When you leave, they give you one color of a long piece of wood. When you pay your bill, they exchange it for a different color to confirm you did in fact eat at Skyline. When my daughter asked for more oyster crackers, she was told that she could get some, but if we wanted more she could buy a box at the checkout. The food itself was the awesome skyline that it always is. Great flavor, lots of cheese and all around delicious. Many servers walked past our table several times, but no one checked on us, and when we flagged someone down to ask about getting our waters refilled, she again gave us attitude and had someone else bring it over. When we checked out, I had a question about pricing on a shirt and a sticker. The person at the register was very terse and said "I don't know, why don't you look and see if it is on the item" (it wasn't). So they looked it up but weren't happy about it. They also didn't seem happy that I asked for a bag for my leftovers. The register is the magic place that you exchanged for the other color of wood. Overall, the food is the same great Skyline experience you get other places, but the service and attitudes were pretty awful.
